Movie Sequels That Were Way Better Than The Original

The worst sequels either rehash the events of the first movie or somehow ruin everything that made it great, but the best ones build on all of the good ideas that the first one had. The Godfather Part II sees Michael Corleone descending even further into darkness while also showing his father's rise to power in flashback, and while not every great sequel is this ambitious, it remains the gold standard.
