Samson and Dalilah Part 1 | Judges 16:4-22 | Bible Short Story

The story of Samson and Dalilah in Book of Judges 16:4–22 is one of the most powerful and tragic moments in the Bible. Samson, a man chosen by God and blessed with incredible strength, falls into a dangerous relationship with Delilah. Pressured by the Philistine rulers, Delilah repeatedly asks Samson the secret of his strength until he finally reveals the truth about his Nazirite vow and his uncut hair. After Samson’s hair is cut while he sleeps, his strength leaves him, and he is captured by the Philistines. They bind him, blind him and place him in prison. Yet even in his lowest moment, the Bible quietly reveals a powerful sign of hope—his hair begins to grow again. This story is a sobering reminder about temptation, spiritual compromise, and the consequences of drifting away from God. At the same time, it also shows that failure is not the end, and that restoration can begin even in the darkest places.
