"Game Of Thrones" Fans Revive Previously Extinct Dire Wolves

A U.S. biotech firm, Colossal Biosciences, claims to have brought back the extinct dire wolf using synthetic biology and genome editing on gray wolves, resulting in the birth of three pups. But while the animals resemble the Game of Thrones dire wolves, experts say the de-extinct species is more a genetically modified replica than a true Ice Age predator.
