Family Were Given His Ashes, Then He Was Found Alive
May 21, 2024
In September 2023, Tyler Chase was declared dead by the Multnomah County Medical Examiner after a body was found with Chase's wallet, which included a temporary Oregon driver's license. Due to the temporary license and its unclear photo, the medical examiner mistakenly identified the deceased as Chase. This led to the cremation of the body and the delivery of the ashes to his family, who mourned his loss.
In December 2023, it was discovered that Tyler was actually alive and well, residing in a recovery center.
