I'm finally in Germany and I'm here in Berlin to discover a different side of this city
0:04
a city flourishing with multiculturalism, diversity and cuisine. To be able to explore this city in more depth, I've just booked my experience using Get Your Guide
0:21
Get Your Guide is an online platform which allows you to book different experiences in different destinations across the world, from entry tickets to hop on, hop off buses
0:29
walking tours, historical tours, food tours, all the way to one of a kind, different tours
0:35
and so many different options. And I've actually just booked a Segway tour, two hour Segway tour
0:40
to explore Berlin at the heart. There are over 60,000 different experiences in over 3,600
0:46
destinations across the world. And the experiences are provided by local experts, which means they
0:52
know their destinations well. There's a 24 seven hour helpline. And also one thing I love is the
0:58
tickets are available on the mobile app which means you don't have to be printing the tickets
1:03
are stored directly on your phone as you can see here the website is so easy to use you can just
1:07
type in your destination into the search bar and up comes a huge variety of experiences for example
1:13
here in cairo the capital of egypt you can choose anything from food tours to giza pyramid tours
1:19
four by four desert safaris and for here in berlin options include city tours by boat hop on hop off
1:26
buses, entry tickets to big huge shows actually as well as the Segway tour which is exactly what
1:32
I'm doing later. If you wanted to book an experience here in different cities across the world
1:37
different destinations across the world then definitely check out get your guide I will put the link down in the description box and right now I am going to head out and explore some parts
1:45
here in Berlin that many people don't actually explore before heading to the Segway tour
1:50
two hour Segway tour just before sunset so let's go. I'm just arrived here at the Bergamont Museum
1:55
first stop here in beautiful Berlin of course I had to come here because they have the original
1:59
Ishtar Gate from Babylon in Iraq and I feel so honoured to be able to see it here in real life
2:05
and it's right ahead of me let's take a look. Finally I'm going to see it in real life
2:09
Ishtar Gate. Having visited Iraq five times I've seen this in real life is
2:16
such an honour. All you Iraqis out there, take a look at this
2:25
Thank you Music
2:46
So just above the Ishtar Gate which is just downstairs If you come upstairs they have a huge area for Islamic history
2:52
history. We've got areas from Egypt to Syria to Turkey, Iran, Uzbekistan, all areas which I adore
2:59
Being up here is amazing. They have some incredible things. It's very weird though seeing it here in
3:04
Germany and not actually in the original country. But it's the same again in the UK. They have a
3:11
lot of things from the British Museum which I don't fully support but here we are. So here in
3:16
Berlin it's such an easy city to get around. The metro is amazing and really really easy to use
3:21
It's pretty much, I guess, an honor system here. You're expected to pay for a ticket, but there's no gates or a system to put the ticket in
3:30
So sometimes the ticket controller will come on, but most of the time, no. So I've just been bouncing around the city. It's really cool
3:36
I'm now heading down to the Turkish district. I'm going to check it out
3:40
Can't wait. Let's eat some Turkish food. So, here in Berlin, Turkish and Middle Eastern culture is widespread
3:55
but it's more familiar here in an area called Kreuzberg So I've just taken a metro quickly to this area
4:00
and already around me, filled with Turkish restaurants, Middle Eastern restaurants the Arabic and Turkish language is great
4:06
so I've just jumped here for a bit of lunch and also I will head to the biggest mosque here in Berlin
4:10
which is just close by so let's find some good Arab food
4:14
there's a beer restaurant in front of me Wow Asalaamu alaikum already, I love it
4:21
Guys, they even have an albaik which is from Sa'awdi I think this is probably a fake version there
4:28
but it still looks good Asalaamu alaikum Wahab, Wahab, Shawarma Shawarma, Sakhir or Sandwich
4:37
Sandwich And Wahab, Iran Oh, I'm so sorry I'm so sorry I'm so sorry
4:42
I'm so sorry I'm so sorry I'm so sorry I know I'm home
5:11
so a quick metro ride later and i've just made it here to şehadla jamah which is turkish and it's
5:28
actually the biggest mosque here in berlin beautiful ottoman style architecture really
5:33
reminds me of istanbul and it reminds me of a huge piece of my heart and my home so let's take a
5:39
inside beautiful grounds it's actually gonna snow very very soon so it's very very cold
5:44
and a bit gray but still it's so beautiful let's take a look inside
6:09
Thank you
6:39
So I just made it here inside the mosque. It's very, very small compared to the other mosques, of course, in Istanbul
6:49
But the details are stunning. It seems pretty new. I'm not sure exactly when it was built, but the colors, the intricacy is just sublime
6:59
It's so beautiful seeing stuff like this in a non-Muslim majority country
7:04
Really, it's an incredible place for people to come here. It's not Friday, so it's not Jum'ah
7:09
inshallah I will come back on a Friday where I can witness the Jum'a prayer
7:13
because it would be sublime wow it's so pretty wow that mosque was amazing so beautiful and of course as I said as soon as i left the mosque it started snowing so i going to take some cover if you guys are coming to berlin this has to be a
7:38
place to check out it's stunning after exploring the beautiful diversity of the city it was now
7:43
time for the two-hour segway tour from get your guide to explore more of berlin
8:17
I found the route not existing anymore, this is check point time
8:24
This was the place where the military was allowed to go from east to west
8:31
Like a boat? Yeah, I think so. This is a Brandenburg tour built from 1780 to 1791
9:15
So the king was allowed to go from the middle but people were not allowed and that statue is called quadriga that was taken to France by French Queen Napoleon and brought back when Germany defeated France and kept facing towards east
9:30
So this is the east of Berlin and that's the west of Berlin
