2:05
people will be sweating by now. It amazing I can see why this is so popular Yeah as a street food I love it They sell thousands of these by day
2:23
I think that possibly was the best start to any food tour I've been on
2:27
This taste is so, so amazing. I think it's because it's cooked in coal
2:31
Shalom, we have to keep going. Welcome to the Chai
2:44
Okay, of course my trip in Pakistan cannot be completed without chai. This time I'm having Madhki Chai, which is actually the name of these clay pots
2:52
It's actually Sunnah in Islam to drink from these. And this tea is made from tea leaves, sugar, of course milk
2:57
And after it's come to a boil, they add cinnamon and cardamom to add the amazing flavour
3:02
I can't wait to have this. I haven't actually had chai since I arrived in Pakistan yesterday, which is criminal
3:07
But I'm really excited to have it now. It smells amazing. It's very weird
3:23
Thank you. Wow. OK, let's try the famous matki chai. It's really hot
3:33
I could cry. It is so good. It's a clay pot of love. This is why you should come to Pakistan
3:49
Just not even for anything else. Just this. Guys, that chai was just incredible. It makes me emotional even drinking it. It just tastes
4:01
So, so good. In Pakistan, in just a few days, is Pakistani Independence Day on August the 14th
4:07
I sadly will not be here, but as you can see, all over the city, there are Pakistani flags
4:11
trinkets, bracelets, everything to celebrate Independence Day. And it's such a beautiful atmosphere here
4:16
I love it. So Karachi Lays on the south coast of Pakistan
4:29
1,400 kilometers of incredible coastline. Inside the ocean, just off the coast
4:34
are so many different types of fish, crustaceans, shrimps, etc. And obviously, by having that
4:40
fried fish is really, really famous here in Karachi. So I've just found this stall on the side of the road
4:45
And it smells amazing. It looks amazing. Let's try it. Let's smell it. Wow I think this is kind of spicy chunny like they do with a lot of the other foods here
5:09
This is pakora shrimp. I don't know if it's called pakora shrimp because of the way they deep fry it
5:15
I guess it is. Let's try it. It's really hot. Oh it's really hot
5:29
This chutney, yes, very spicy but beautiful. Super deep rich spiciness. The fish is so flaky and hot and the crunch on the outside is amazing
5:41
Pakistanis are so lucky to have this in the country. A beautiful coastline as well as the incredible mountains in the north
5:46
Pakistan really has everything. Some of the world's highest peaks, some incredible cities, beautiful coastline
5:53
So much diversity every 50 kilometers and with that diversity comes diverse food and it tastes amazing
6:00
What's your name? My name is J. What are you doing? What are you doing
6:12
What are you doing? I'm going to go to a place where they sold Jalebi, which is a really famous sweet here in South Asia
6:30
But the owner of this store just actually gave me half of one for free and also refused to let me pay Just like the chai store did I every time I come to Pakistan I just overwhelmed with the generosity and hospitality Let try it bismillah
6:48
Whoa this stuff will make my teeth fall out but it tastes amazing. I love it. I'm
6:57
I'm not usually a big fan of sweet things, but Pakistani sweets, oh
7:02
What a cha. Since we're eating sweets, we may as well carry on that and try and find some other incredible
7:06
Pakistani sweets to eat. Let's go. So I've been having way too much fun
7:22
exploring the streets, and it's gotten really late. So this is my final stop here at Delhi Sweets
7:26
having rabri which is a really famous milk and sugar very very sweet dessert
7:44
okay so this is the rabri this is the milk and sugar dessert it's so thick
7:50
this is my first time trying this in all the times i've been to Pakistan Wow, it smells very similar to Turkish desserts
8:05
That is so sweet. It's like a very sweet, digestible chewing gum
8:11
It's really, really good though. If I stay in Pakistan any longer, I'm going to get so fat
8:19
It's amazing. Okay, that was a very, very quick tour of Burns Road here in Karachi
8:34
I'm going to carry on eating this beautiful dessert and enjoy the rest of my time in Pakistan
8:39
I don't have that much long left. Two more days, but inshallah I'll be back here in September and October to discover more of this incredible country
8:46
Until then, talo, see you soon
