at last we meet i've heard much about
0:43
you your choices your determination
0:46
keredok isn't easily impressed but he
0:49
was impressed with you few dared to seek
0:51
the truce buried in Avalon shadows fewer
0:54
still make it this far i was the first
0:58
kerodok followed when my brethren burned
1:01
and the tear opened and now here you are
1:05
a truly rare and joyful occasion
1:09
[Music]
1:13
oh precisely the opposite of what
1:15
Kerodok
1:17
wants i want you to help me resurrect
1:20
King Arthur properly this
1:22
[Music]
1:30
time ridiculous I know but yes that's
1:35
what it boils down to at some point we
1:38
stopped seeing eye to eye and chose
1:40
different paths ultimately though both
1:43
our paths led to
1:49
you yes yes please let me explain by the
1:53
end of his life Arthur became obsessed
1:55
with his legacy he left momentos
1:58
artifacts that embodied the virtues he
2:00
wanted Avalon to
2:02
preserve excalibur a symbol of loyalty
2:05
and sacrifice
2:07
the crown of Pen Dragon a beacon of
2:10
courage and
2:16
resilience and the others didn't believe
2:19
that would be enough the memory of war
2:22
and the fragility of peace was still too
2:25
fresh so they acted when the king died
2:29
his soul wasn't allowed to move on it
2:31
was shattered bound to those artifacts
2:35
clever solution but ultimately
2:39
[Music]
2:49
flawed they feared losing what Arthur
2:51
represented more than losing Arthur
2:54
himself they thought the king's essence
2:56
would endure if bound to his relics
3:01
you can't pick and choose with a soul
3:04
but that's exactly what Merlin did he
3:06
focused on three parts of Arthur his
3:09
strength wisdom and courage he left out
3:13
two pieces one tainted by the four
3:15
Dweller's magic was deemed too dangerous
3:19
the other was his humanity the most
3:21
fragile part merlin thought compassion
3:24
and doubt were weaknesses unfit for a
3:27
king without them Arthur became hollow a
3:31
king with power but no heart that way
3:35
Avalon's greatest failure was
3:37
[Music]
3:40
born i tried and I found his humanity
3:45
it's here bound kept safe but the four
3:49
dwellers aspects was left to drift
3:52
untethered between worlds finding it
3:55
needed more than magic
3:57
and needed someone like
4:00
you the horrors you endured on that
4:02
island gave you something no one else
4:05
has you can move through the weirdness
4:08
touch it and return whole that's why you
4:12
found the king's soul bound it to
4:14
yourself and came back
4:27
[Music]
4:29
you flatter me no I couldn't have
4:33
predicted all of that i merely nudged
4:35
the red church in the right direction
4:37
and ask Karadok to assist where I
4:40
couldn't i can see you're still doubting
4:48
[Music]
4:49
me i want to bring back our king whole
4:53
and complete i want him to lead again
4:56
and safeguard Avalon's
5:06
future because I've seen what happens
5:09
without
5:09
him weirdness pres on the weak and the
5:13
people are too divided to stand against
5:15
it
5:16
alone arthur is their only hope ever
5:20
they're left without him without
5:22
guidance chaos takes hold division
5:27
fers you've seen it during your journeys
5:30
if things continue this way Avalon will
5:34
tear itself apart long before weirdness
5:36
finishes the
5:41
[Music]
5:50
job they will follow him
5:53
that's what people do when weirdness
5:56
comes to their doorstep they'll beg for
5:58
a savior and Arthur will answer the call
6:03
help me bring the king back whole and
6:05
complete that's all I ask of
6:08
you now you need to go further i made my
6:12
case please keep in mind what I told you
6:16
this is the only way for Avalon to
6:19
survive
