VW Golf R Mk8: An honest review, is it better than a Mk7?

I was lucky enough to be given this Mk8 Golf R for 48 hours to test, this isn't a car you can judge on a 20 minute test drive! I'm not a Youtube personality, I'm not a professional reviewer or test drive guy. I tune Volkswagens all day every day, so lets see my journey from pickup to handing it back and get the facts.
