### Ingredients:
- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 1/2 cups granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 2 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
- 2 teaspoons cream of tartar
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 3 tablespoons granulated sugar
- 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
### Instructions:
1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line baking sheets with parchment paper.
2. In a large bowl, cream together the butter and 1 1/2 cups sugar until smooth. Beat in the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
3. Combine the flour, cream of tartar, baking soda, and salt in a separate bowl. Gradually add this dry mixture to the creamed mixture and mix well.
4. In a small bowl, combine the 3 tablespoons of sugar and cinnamon.
5. Shape the dough into 1-inch balls and roll them in the cinnamon-sugar mixture. Place them 2 inches apart on the prepared baking sheets.
6. Bake for 8 to 10 minutes, or until set but not too hard. Remove from the oven and let them cool on the baking sheets for a few minutes before transferring to wire racks to cool completely.
