Recognise the Country from the SATELLITE Image

Okay, I've got five different geography satellite image based quizzes of increasing difficulty and in this video

We're gonna go through them all starting with recognizing countries at night and the first one is pretty easy

There's a few countries in here, but I'm assuming the one they are after is Australia

And doesn't that look pretty as well? Okay next up we have got it's a lot brighter

That's gonna be the uk up here, isn't it? So london's there and then this is gonna be france. So let's try

France as the next one. Oh, it's it's except of belgium. I guess i'll just name any country that's visible. Oh

Uh, that's a lot harder to spot and recognize. I think that is Cuba and Jamaica and those areas

So yeah, there we go. Cuba's accepted. Oh, we've got one that shows the curvature of the earth and isn't that beautiful

This is the shape of the river nile and I know the population of egypt basically really closely follows it

But just to show off we're gonna say saudi arabia, which is neighboring. Oh, it's not accepted

This is saudi arabia, right? Yeah, is it not? Oh, no, it's actually a bit more of egypt and israel

Oh, that's embarrassing. Why did I try and complicate things? We'll just stick with Egypt

Next one. Wow, is that legit? Is that what it actually looks like? Nah, surely they've added

that border. Maybe not though. I mean, it might literally be because there's lighthouses all the

way around or something. Or is it just everyone living on the coast? But surely they don't live

on every single portion of the coast. I don't know. Either way, it is Iceland. I think that is

a slightly altered image. Oh, we've got black and white for the next one. I recognize that. That is

definitely India. And coming up next, we've got Ireland. Aren't they very pretty, all of these

satellite images? And then, oh, that one I don't actually recognize. I'm gonna have to skip ahead

Oh, wow, look at that. So that's Italy. What an incredible angle that is. That looks absolutely

amazing. And is that Sri Lanka, the teardrop of India? I'm assuming so. Yes, it is. This one's not

an original satellite, but that is obviously the USA. And then, oh, South Africa, maybe? I'm gonna

try it i don't know though let's try oh yes okay this one we've got a helpful outline and then for

some reason it says 2011 but i do not recognize it i'll kick myself i reckon i will um moving on

we've got spain and portugal so let's do spain and then well that's japan but there's an arrow

do i just ignore the arrow i'm guessing they've just sourced these images from elsewhere so we

will just put japan yeah north korea would also be accepted uh so we don't know that one and we

don't know that one. No worries, we'll give up. Syria. Yeah, I thought I recognized the outline

And then the other one is Israel. Okay, so that means that Egypt's over here. Yeah, I'm sure some

of you out there will have got that one. Okay, now moving on to something slightly more difficult

I don't think I will get all of these, but we're naming different geographical landmarks. These

are just taken by NASA, which is kind of cool. Oh, and I clicked them. Uluru, which is that big

rock in Australia. So I'm assuming that's this fella. Yes, the Grand Canyon. Oh, could be that

one but I don't get another chance on it so I need to just look at the others now it's got to be yeah

the Alps oh I'm assuming it's that one because that looks like Italy should we go with that one

yes Iceland is nice and easy Ugasoo River and Falls I'm sure I'm mispronouncing everything wrong

here that one I don't know we've got a big river there do we have any other rivers no I don't think

we do that I'm assuming that's Mariana Trench so let's go with this one yes the Black Sea could that

I will hold out I think. Maybe it's this one instead. Nah cause that seems to be focusing on an island Oh no no it be this won it Obviously I just didn even see that The Great Blue Hole So it not Mariana Trench but I assuming that is the Great Blue Hole Tasmania I can recognize

Cape Cod. Maybe this one? That could look like a fish. I don't know if that's why it's named that

Yes. Himalayas. That'll be this massive mountain range, I'm guessing. Mount Fuji is going to be that one

Sicily is down here. Cape Horn, probably that one. This is Egypt, isn't it

With the River Nile. I don't want to skip any Cape Horn. Should I go with that one

Ah, it's probably a gamble. I'm gonna try. Ah, it was this one, but I had no idea on that. Lake Superior and then the River Nile

We actually got better than I thought there. We did some good guesses and we got 93% of them

Next, we've got a London tourist site on a satellite image and apparently there's 24

So I'll get some obvious ones. Like I can see the London Eye shadow right there

So hopefully that's on here, but I probably won't even get half of these correct. But you never know. Maybe we can work it out

Oh, what? Do I have to type them? Oh, that makes things harder. Okay, London Eye, there you go

There's a bridge, so I'm assuming that's, um, it's the big famous bridge

What's it called? It's not London Bridge. It's Tower of London. No, no, no, it's not Tower of London, is it

That's the, like, the castle thing. Well, I forgot what the most famous bridge in London is called

Maybe it'll come to me. I'm gonna skip it for now. That's embarrassing. Okay, is that Hyde Park, maybe

Yes, it is. That was a good guess. Would that be Buckingham Palace? Buckingham Palace

Oh, come on. Oh, yes, it is, it is. Oh, I have no idea. I think this is where all of the big skyscrapers are

So I'm going to try Canary Wharf. No, let's try the Gherkin

No, well, this is difficult. Oh my God, I might get no more than three

What's that? We've got another kind of park. Just going to try London Zoo just in case

No, okay, that's fine then. Can we name any other parks? Hide Park. This is a nightmare

Okay, next one. What's going to be down from the London Eye? We'll try Tower of London. No, it's not

That could be Trafalgar Square. Trafalgar Square. Come on, please, please. Yes. If London Eye is there, that's going to be

Westminster or Big Ben, probably. Let's try that. Yes. Okay, we're back over here. Royal Albert Hall

This is just a bit of a wild guess. No, it's not. And then I have no idea where that is. I should

have maybe done this map at the end, to be honest. This is probably the most challenging one. What's

that going to be? So we've got Buckingham Palace, Trafalgar Square, National History Museum. I don't

know, National History Museum. Let's try it. No, okay, London Museum? British Museum, I think it's

called actually, British Museum. No, okay. Well, we're having a bit of a nightmare. Yeah, I actually

think I'm completely screwed. Tower of London is there, at least I did know that one. Uh, what's

gonna be in Hyde Park? London Zoo? Is that in Hyde Park? I don't know why I keep trying it. Well, I

guess we skip ahead again. Big Ben, Westminster? Westminster, let's try that. No, so it's gonna

to be Westminster Abbey. Let's try that. Yes, we got one. Could that be the Royal Albert Hall? I know

it is next to a park. Oh my god, yes. So that means, do we have one around here? Yeah, we do

So is that Albert Monument or Royal Albert Monument? No, I can't quite remember. Okay

we've literally got eight out of 24 and I don't think I can get any more of them. I can't believe

I can't remember the bridge though. That's what's like driving me crazy. Tower Bridge? Is that it

Yes, thank God for that. Oh God, we were close with Tower of London

Well, I'm sure I have infuriated many of you with this one, but we will give up

and we see what we got wrong Uh St Paul Cathedral I definitely should have got And yeah Tate Modern makes sense I did try National History Museum but totally different place Oxford Street Montessor Regents Park

Okay, 10 Downing Street. Definitely should have got that one. But the others, I've obviously heard of all of them

But yeah, just locating them on a map when I'm a northerner, I can't do that

All right, let's redeem ourselves by naming all 54 countries in Africa without any outlines

If I get this, I'll be impressed. Wow, I get no clues. Okay, we'll just get on with it

Mad-A-G-A-S-K-A to begin with. And then shall I work my way up from the south

South Africa, Zambia, Zimbabwe. This is going to be tricky, but I reckon I will get most of them. Mozambique

I've not done this in ages, though, so maybe I'm completely wrong. We'll do the M's. Malawi, Mali, Rwanda, Uganda

And then going from there. Namibia, Angola. We haven't done Kenya, nor have we done Tanzania

That's the one above. Okay, that's a good start. 13. Think about it for a second

DRC. CRA or CAR I should say Republic of the Congo and Cameroon, Guinea, Guinea-Bissau and then

Equatorial Guinea. There you go. What else can we get? There's a big gap around here. We're

definitely missing a bunch. Oh no, this is so difficult. I've not done Burundi. Let's get that

cheeky little fella. Then we'll do Somalia and Ethiopia and Egypt as well as Algeria, Tunisia

Morocco. Down from Egypt, we've got Sudan, South Sudan. And then from Sudan, we can have

Gabon, Gambia. Think about it. Think about it. That's 31. That's quite good. This big area. Chad

of course. Yeah, there's a lot of big chunky fellas around here. So I don't need to worry

too much if I don't have many, but I do need Eritrea. Eritrea and Djibouti. There you go

going from there. What else are we missing? We haven't done those little fellas. Burkina Faso

We haven't done Ivory Coast. I've got a lord in me head again. We need to do Togo and Nigeria

Niger. Nigeria again. Ghana's in there as well, isn't it? Then there's some others around here

Liberia, that's right. And Libya. I haven't even done Libya yet. There we go. Okay, that's pretty

good. Am I missing some around here? They are quite large countries. They are a lot of large

countries. They're all quite long in this spot. Angola takes up a lot of that room. It's difficult

without any outlines. I haven't done any of the island nations. Cape Verde and Seotome and

Principe as well as Comoros and Seychelles. Oh god, people would kick off if I missed that one

There you go. I think there's another one as well. Comoros, Mauritius. There you go. And Mauritania

that reminds me. Mauritania, there you go. What am I missing? Look at this, by the way. This little

bit of the Nile is a very familiar sight at this point in this video. I feel like it's cropped up

too many times. Okay, is there any other island nations that I am forgetting? I don't think so

so maybe I need to get some more up in this area. Oh, it's gonna be annoying. Which ones have I

missed? Senegal. I haven't got Senegal. Senegal, there you go. 49 of 54. There's literally just five

Oh, oh yes, yes, yes the soto and Eswatini eswatini Did I not spell it right Oh is it still called swaziland on this month swaziland We try it Yes They have an update of the name interesting All right there three that are missing What are they Shibuya Eritrea Equatorial Guinea We got some obscure ones though Somalia Ethiopia

Oh my god, Botswana. Botswana's just come to me. Botswana. There you go. Literally two left. Well, what are they gonna be

Zambia, Zimbabwe, Malawi. I've done Malawi. I've done Tanzania. Yeah, five seconds. All right, go on. Hit me with the bad news

Who are we forgetting? We forgot Benin and Sierra Leone. Okay, fair enough

I could hold my head up high with that one. I'm quite pleased with that. No outlines as well. That's a big bonus

It's a lot better than our nine out of 24, the London map. All right, now finally, countries in satellite images

but they're like close-ups. So to begin with, Somalia. Yes, it's also Yemen was included and Ethiopia

Okay, that's a nice easy one as well. Iceland, or we could have had Denmark with Greenland up there

Ooh, what is that? Is it USA? because no i thought it was hawaii right in that case we can get this is it seychelles go on no

it's not is it maldives right i'm not giving up the name of the malls solomon islands uh i might

come back to it i think that would be more efficient wouldn't it okay uh we've got some big gaps

where's that i don't know somewhere quite green not very desert-y at all uh any clues in the images

it just says 2019 google that does not help me i do recognize this i'll come back to it again that

one as well i feel is familiar but i don't know it's not gonna be australia it is it was a tough

australia okay and then that one i think i recognize that as thailand right yes there's a

few there that we could have had based on this shape and the fact that it gets a bit chilly i'm

gonna try chile and argentina yes that's familiar as well is cambodia there cambodia no okay weird

yeah that one's not coming to me then i guess oh i bet that sea is beautiful that just looks

incredible doesn't it okay where's this gonna be could we try papua new guinea there we will give

it a go you never know probably new guinea no um malaysia i'm trying that area of the world indonesia

no nothing coming to me there jamaica no cuba oh cuba bahamas that's what the really nice pretty

sea was this one got an almost landlocked sea which is kind of cool bit of geography but none

of the other shapes are kind of making sense to me i feel like it could be europe maybe around

greece no turkey yes turkey ukraine russia and georgia okay so now it's just the ones that we've

skipped why is that so familiar to me but i haven't got it i was sure this was vietnam and laos and

those areas but apparently not that shape that wiggly shape is definitely in my head what is it

i'm sure quite a few of you know that one and that one i'm annoyed at as well estonia yeah that was a

complete rogue guess right i'll skip it i can't believe i don't have that one wait it's central

america it's literally just come to me so i reckon i could say costa rica and that would be accepted

there we go yeah it's panama that's the shape that i recognize i should have got that definitely way

earlier right i'm not bothered about this one but this one is familiar to me and i want to try and

get it so barbados i'm trying it yes it was a bunch of caribbean islands it was obviously the

caribbean those island shapes are so familiar okay i literally have five whole minutes to get

this and then i've got them all so i'm gonna persevere on it what could it be spin oh these

are those two islands owned by france and italy aren't they and then this is spain over in the

corner well we actually nailed that one so the one i thought would be the hardest is the only one we

got a perfect score on all right that was really interesting thank you very much for watching let
