'Melania' Producer Reveals Artists Who Wouldn't Allow Music In Film...

Several high-profile musicians reportedly refused to allow their songs to be used in 'Melania,' a new documentary about US First Lady Melania Trump.
In a new interview with Variety, the project’s producer Marc Beckman said a song by Guns N’ Roses was blocked as the band failed to reach a unanimous decision.
Beckman also noted that Grace Jones declined a similar request to have one of her tracks featured in the documentary. “It’s disappointing when people put politics so far ahead" he said.
The estate of Prince reportedly blocked the use of one of his songs, stating that the late artist “would never want his song associated with Donald Trump.”
Prior to this, Radiohead’s Jonny Greenwood and director Paul Thomas Anderson asked for their score from the 2017 drama ‘Phantom Thread’ to be removed.
Beckman noted that while the team respects the artists' decisions, the film focuses on Melania herself rather than political commentary.
