Busfield Edited Out Of Amazon Movie After Child Abuse Arrest...

Timothy Busfield's role has been removed from Amazon MGM's rom-com ‘You Deserve Each Other’ following the recent child sexual abuse allegations made against him.  The film stars Meghann Fahy and Penn Badgley, and is based on Sarah Hogle's 2020 novel about an engaged couple sabotaging their wedding. Busfield played the role of Bernie, the father of Fahy's character, Naomi. The film's release date has not yet been announced. The charges involve twin child actors from the Fox series ‘The Cleaning Lady,’ where Busfield served as director and executive producer. The 68-year-old was charged with two counts of criminal sexual contact of a minor and one count of child abuse. New allegations against Busfield have since emerged, alleging that he groped a teenage girl auditioning at B Street Theatre in Sacramento, California.  Busfield’s talent agency, Innovative Artists, dropped him, while a ‘Law & Order: SVU’ episode featuring him was also pulled.
