In this video, I'm going to show you how you can convert any PDF or Word document into a Microsoft
0:05
Forms quiz. I'm hoping that this one saves you a lot of time. Before I get to the video, I would
0:11
love it if you could subscribe to my YouTube channel where each week I'll be uploading new
0:14
videos on a variety of different topics. So thank you for your consideration and now let's get to
0:20
the video. So here is my story. This is a great article that I was able to pull up from Newzella
0:26
which I don't have a subscription to but this is the free version and I want to share this with my
0:30
students. One of the things that I like about the Newzella articles is that if you go to print
0:36
it will automatically have multiple choice questions at the end. But in this case
0:41
I don't just want to print this out on paper and pass it out. I'd like a way that I could
0:45
distribute this and collect responses automatically. To do this, I'll be using Microsoft Forms and a
0:51
brand new feature called Quick Import. So to do that, the first thing I'm going to do is to
0:56
download this document as a PDF. Now you'll notice this is a multi-page document. Really
1:02
the only page I want is page three that has multiple choice questions. So I'm going to go
1:07
to this website called I Love PDF and I'm going to choose the option that says Split PDF to just
1:13
isolate that one page. You can check out a video that I made for I Love PDF if you'd like more
1:18
information on this site. So from here, I'm just going to split this. I'm going to say page three
1:26
to page three and split that PDF. There is my one page PDF and now we're ready to import this
1:36
So now let's go to Microsoft Forms and choose the option that says Quick Import
1:43
From here, I'm going to select the PDF that I just split that had those multiple choice questions
1:49
And I'm going to choose Quiz. In just a few minutes, Forms will create this PDF document
1:59
into a Microsoft Forms quiz. Let's review it to see how it looks. So this is my original document
2:07
and this is my Microsoft Form quiz which was converted. It's almost perfect with the exception
2:14
of this question at the bottom. This was not a question. It was just text at the bottom of the
2:18
page. So I can go in and delete that and I should be set. Now if you look over to the side, it will
2:24
ask you to make sure that you assign point values so then you can send this out and automatically
2:30
grade this. If you have never sent out a Microsoft Forms quiz, it's really easy. You just select
2:35
Collect Responses and you copy that link. You can even shorten it and share it with your students
2:41
So in just a few seconds, you can use Microsoft Forms Quick Import to automatically convert those
2:46
multiple choice questions you have into a quiz. I hope you enjoyed this video. If you have any
2:52
questions, go ahead and leave a comment below. Thanks for watching and have a great day
