So if you're a student and you're struggling with writing, don't worry I've got you covered
0:05
Today I'm going to share with you the Microsoft Editor. But before I do that, consider subscribing to my YouTube channel where each week I'll be uploading new content on a variety of different topics
0:15
So thanks for your consideration and now let's get to the editor
0:19
So what you're going to need is a Microsoft 365 account. Once you have a Microsoft 365 account, you can copy and paste your text into Word Online
0:28
After you copy and paste, check out the editor at the top of the screen
0:34
This is going to make the proofreading part of your writing a lot easier
0:38
The first thing you can do is select your writing style, either formal, professional or casual
0:48
You'll notice that Word will calculate a score based on the number of errors that it was able to identify
0:56
From here we can check out the corrections such as spelling, grammar, as well as several other areas
1:04
This one, formality, will show me some suggestions that I can make to allow my paper to be more formal
1:11
In this situation it also gives me some options for new vocabulary
1:16
Now one feature that I really like is this one that says similarity
1:20
This will basically scan your entire document and show you where you may have plagiarized text
1:27
So I can change this if I want or if I want to keep it I can add an in-text citation
1:34
Another helpful feature is at the end where it says document stats
1:38
By clicking this button you can get a lot of information on your writing including how long it will take to read it
1:45
how long it will take to speak it, as well as the total number of words and characters
1:50
So the next time you finish a paper and you're proofreading it, check out the editor in Microsoft Word Online
1:57
If you have any questions go ahead and leave them in the comment section
2:01
Thank you so much for watching this video. I'm going to leave you with a few suggestions that you might enjoy
