My name is Rich and today we're going to learn how you can remove a watermark from any image using Canva

Now before I start, I do want to make the disclaimer that this is only for demonstration purposes

So let's go ahead and get started. So the other day, I generated this PICStar style image from the website lensgo.a

And it made me wonder, gee, this watermark at the bottom, would it be possible to use one of Canva's AI tools

to remove it. And guess what? It was. So what I did is I went to edit photo. I select magic eraser

and I just erased over that lens go.aI logo and let Canva do its thing. Watermark at the bottom

of the image is now gone. If I kind of zoom out, you can't really tell it's there. I guess it does

look a little blurry, but if you didn't know any better, you might not even know that that watermark

existed. So here's what I did. I did just a quick Google search for photographs with watermarks

and I'm going to see if magic erase is able to get rid of some of those watermarks. Okay

here is the first one It looks like it a photo taken from an airplane You can see skies in the ocean and that sort of thing So I just going to go and click on that photo I going to go to edit photo I going to choose Magic Eraser

And I am just going to brush over the text of each word on this photo that says proof in a watermark

Okay. So here is this one. It looks okay. Now, if you look close, you can kind of see where the watermark was, those diagonal watermark

lines just because of this photo. So it looks a little bit blurry here, but overall, I think it looks okay

Not great, but in some cases, maybe good enough. How about this one

I thought this one was kind of funny. Someone put copyright and put big and ugly watermark

So let me use magic erase and see if we can remove this

Not bad, it's kind of similar to some of the other ones that we've seen

We've removed that watermark in the middle. It kind of made things a little bit more blurry but again it could be that this photo is good enough for the purpose that you need it for Let take a look at this one You can see there a copyright straight through it

I'm going to use Magic Eraser. I am going to just kind of highlight or brush over that copyright

And it is gone. If you take a look at the space where that watermark was, you can see I think it looks pretty good

So in this case, I think Magic Arace did a great job. Here's another one

We have this nice picture of a chicken, I guess. I'm going to use Magic Eraser

Let me go ahead and just brush over this watermark. Let's see how the final version looks

All right, I think this one looks pretty good. Again, if you look close, maybe you can see some blurring, some distortion

But I think overall, in this situation, Magic Eraser did a great job removing that watermark

Okay, now here is a tough one. You see a lot of photos like this online

And again, this is for demonstration purposes. I would never actually do this, but I just want to see if magic erase is able to remove not only these watermarks

like the one that says shutter stock and good moments and has these little icons here

But if you look closely you can also see some diagonal lines very lightly running across this photo So I going to see if I can use magic erase to clean this whole photo up remove the lines remove the watermark

I think a magic eraser worked really well, removing all of those watermarks

all of the diagonal lines that had been on this photo. So again, if you have a photo and you have permission to remove the watermark

then I would definitely recommend trying to see if Canva's magic erase would be a good option
