I wrote a post a few days ago to check on the resale value of the Air Jordan 14 DB Doernbecher, if you’ve missed it, be sure to visit the link below

I’m sure folks want to know how many pairs were produced and my initial subjective take on it will be 1600 pairs since Ethan is 16. But this is the worst way to make a projection so let’s use the empirical method. We’ll take a quick count on the number of retailers given an inventory; per my investigation beside Nike, the only confirmed retailers are DTLR/Ruvilla and ShoePalace. So how can we evaluate the number of pairs made with so little information?

hey good morning guys this is ty for
0:02
master kicks and today's focus will be
0:03
the dawn week of 14 he's coming out
0:06
tomorrow December the 7th and I know a
0:09
lot of guys I want to know how many
0:10
pairs were made so this is my attempt to
0:12
try to give you that kind of information
0:14
now before I get into it we want to talk
0:17
about the dawn maker this shoe itself
0:18
and the concept I absolutely commend
0:23
Nike for doing this don't make a thing I
0:25
mean this is always a good thing for me
0:27
I'm never gonna say this is trash
0:29
because I can't because the patients
0:32
that are designing these shoes this is
0:34
the way for him to tell us what they've
0:35
been through in their lives so that's
0:37
like a way of expressing themselves and
0:39
this is what every shoe should actually
0:41
be like it sure has to have some kind of
0:44
a backstory to it and if he doesn't have
0:45
a strong one I think is frivolous
0:48
so this right here to me it's always
0:50
gonna be top my top five because I'm
0:52
never gonna say or the dawn because
0:54
trash because did not because the
0:56
patient or with his design issue he's
0:58
trying to tell us their story what
1:00
they've been through how life has been
1:02
like for them and a lot of these kids
1:04
are suffering from sometimes terminal
1:06
like illnesses so for me to even suggest
1:09
that dishes trash is crazy I consider
1:11
all right now on the door make a 14 were
1:14
designed by armed Ethan
1:17
Ellis his Canadian he's 16 and this kid
1:20
has what you call a hypoplastic syndrome
1:24
and the condition left him with a
1:27
deficiency on his the left side of his
1:29
heart so because of the deficiency he
1:31
had to endure like six heart surgeries
1:34
so and issues a way for him to like tell
1:37
us his story now for example the colors
1:40
on the shoe it talks about the colors
1:42
he's like his favorite college team the
1:44
TCU Horned Frogs and then there's a
1:46
number six on the shoe and I represent
1:48
the number of surgeries that he went
1:49
through and on the laces the names for
1:52
the hospital and on the tongue he has
1:55
blue ray and Lou Ray's a fellow patient
1:57
who had the same treatment that he
1:59
received and then the space nehru and R
2:01
stands for the city where he received a
2:03
heart transplant in 2019 for more the
2:06
story you want to go on Nike
2:08
because this to me is like it's always
2:09
good thing okay now
2:13
as first like the the the colors let me
2:17
go back on Nike and then we're gonna
2:18
look at that and for me it's like this
2:20
like we all have a disease
2:22
it's called sin and we all need to be
2:24
saved from it so I'm just gonna take
2:26
this opportunity to tell you that a
2:27
little bit because sin enter the world
2:30
right and because of sin now we all need
2:33
a Savior and we all have to have a
2:36
Savior because without it we are doomed
2:38
and for me like when I see these stories
2:41
of like a heart and efficiency it
2:43
reminds me of that like we all have a
2:45
deficiency we all suffer from this
2:47
disease called sin and this is why Jesus
2:50
came to die for our sins so if you don't
2:52
know Jesus I'm telling you today repent
2:55
and ask him to fill you and to cleanse
2:58
your heart and this is your opportunity
3:00
because I'm saying it not because I say
3:03
it but because that's what scripture
3:04
says so as we look at the shoe we're
3:06
thinking about this kind of stuff okay
3:08
now this is it this is the shoe and this
3:11
is the man behind it so now let's let's
3:15
talk about numbers now before we talk
3:17
about numbers there's one thing that we
3:18
have to know like um who's getting the
3:21
shoe and when I went and did my
3:23
investigation it's only two places
3:25
beside Nike it's downtown locker room
3:27
and shoe palace now for me that's not a
3:32
lot of information to work with so what
3:34
do I have to do so I went to Nike and I
3:36
looked at Nikes website and they
3:38
actually gave you a list of stores that
3:40
I get any so and they have this thing
3:42
here that I showed on my computer Nike
3:44
sneakers packs Nike NYC Nike de groove
3:47
Nike Chicago and Nike lab and they're
3:51
gonna have to sneak a space I don't know
3:53
what that means and then the second one
3:54
is first-come first-served that is
3:56
basically self-explanatory so based on
3:59
the image above I'm assuming that Nike
4:02
has a total of 8 locations that are
4:03
gonna get the shoe right and now I'm
4:06
going to assume that Nike would take
4:08
about a 3/4 of the entire production but
4:11
before I do that my initial thought was
4:14
1,600 pairs because the kid is 16 but
4:17
that's like a bad way of evaluating
4:19
issue I can't use that kind of intuition
4:21
that's not gifts that's subjective so
4:23
let's use the empirical method we're
4:25
gonna try and actually find some numbers
4:27
so I'm assuming that Nike gets like 3/4
4:30
and DT a lion reveal I get about 1/4
4:33
right now the hardest part is this how
4:36
many pairs for a Nike store this is
4:39
where like I don't know like I'm
4:41
thinking 300 pairs maybe and then 5160
4:45
so I stuck with 300 pairs I'm just
4:48
saying if every Nike Scott's gonna get
4:50
about 300 pairs ok
4:52
I could be wrong but I'm thinking 300
4:54
now you can play with his numbers and
4:55
switch them up at your own leisure you
4:58
can you can change that if you want but
5:00
I'm thinking 300 pairs for a store if
5:03
that's the case I'm also gonna assume
5:04
that Nike online who get about a third
5:07
of the allocation there the physical
5:09
stores are getting and then we're gonna
5:11
try and find our numbers right so if
5:13
that's the case eight times three
5:15
hundred that's 2400 pairs just for Nike
5:17
stores and I killed Nike online will be
5:20
the 2,400 divided by three which is 800
5:23
and then total from Nike would be pretty
5:26
much 24 plus 2 800 probably 3,200 pairs
5:29
now see some are assuming that DT
5:32
Allah's gonna also get like a certain
5:34
number D TLR and shoe polish I'm giving
5:37
them a quarter of that right a quarter
5:39
Darby 3200 divided by 4 that's 800 pairs
5:42
right if that's the case the total
5:45
produce will be 3200 plus 800 that's
5:48
like four thousand pairs now this is
5:50
where I have to be careful this is based
5:53
on my assumptions I don't work for this
5:55
brain so I have to tell you don't quote
5:58
me on this I'm just trying to help you
6:00
get an idea of the price if you want to
6:02
know about resale and all that I wrote
6:04
an article on it you can go on the
6:06
website and click this and it's gonna
6:07
take you to the article okay that's far
6:09
as I'm concerned I'm thinking four
6:11
thousand pairs based on my assumptions
6:13
which is three hundred pairs per Nike
6:15
store again I could be wrong but this is
6:17
it
6:18
now if you want to buy this shoe you can
6:19
get it on stock X now or you can just go
6:22
Nike calm or downtown locker room into
6:25
and take your chance there all right
6:26
thanks for watching this is time for my
6:29
psychic said stay tuned for more stuff
