Stepdad Who Couldn't Have Kids Surprised With Grandson Named After Him
A beloved stepdad fought back tears of happiness when his stepdaughter revealed she had named one of her newborn twins after him. Genna Fisher, 26, from Mount Shasta, California, has seen stepdad Larry Keen, 57, as a constant in her life, not being able to remember a time when he wasn't there to support her and her mom, Angel. Larry wasn't able to have kids of his own but chose to step up, helping single mom Angel with four kids, Genna said, something she deeply admires, as he treated his stepchildren like his own from day one. And so, ahead of the birth of her twin boys, Genna knew she wanted to pay homage to the man who had given her family so much. On the day the twins were born, on March 18, Larry entered the hospital room where his stepdaughter was in bed, her newborn twins next to her. Having taken a look at the pair, Larry was then handed a piece of paper by Genna, which said the name of one of the boys: Cora Keen. As soon as Larry saw the words and the touching reference to his last name, his eyes filled with tears, and he headed over to Genna to give her a loving hug.
