A six-year-old girl who cried weekly for her best friend after moving states was given a heartwarming surprise when he appeared at a trampoline park. Oaklyn Etter, now living in Tulsa, Oklahoma, first met Kohlson Segla, also six, in preschool when her family lived in Knoxville, Tennessee. The pair were inseparable – despite being total opposites – and stayed in the same class through to graduation. After Oaklyn’s dad got a new job, the move to Oklahoma was tough; though she made new friends, none compared to Kohlson, and she often cried for him. A year later, their families decided FaceTime and letters weren’t enough and planned a surprise reunion. During a cross-country road trip, Kohlson’s family arranged a secret stop to see Oaklyn. Their moms picked Joplin, Missouri, as a midpoint and met at a trampoline park under the guise of a long errand. When Oaklyn spotted a familiar face, she ran into Kohlson’s arms for an emotional hug on May 29 – a moment both families captured on video.
