Sibling Rescue Dogs Sent To Different Foster Homes Reunited
Two sibling rescue dogs named after members of Destiny’s Child had a severe case of the zoomies when they were finally reunited after being sent to different foster homes. Foster parents of pooches Michelle and Kelly thought it was destiny that the survivors should be reunited, having been rescued from an animal hoarding situation in South Carolina. Chihuahua mixes Michelle and Kelly were brought to Philadelphia by a rescue operation called Philly Bully Team, where the group looked for foster homes for the duo, initially separated for a week. MJ Higgins, from Point Breeze in Philadelphia, already has two female pit bulls who like small dogs, so she and her husband opted to take Michelle – only for it to then become clear she was missing Kelly. And so, after the pair had been apart for a week, MJ decided to take Kelly in too, capturing the siblings' sweet reunion on video. Each in their individual travel cages, the pair immediately recognized each other and wagged their tails with delight. As they were then both let out, on May 4, Michelle and Kelly then jumped on each other, ran around with joy, and "their energy just exploded in the happiest way," MJ said. Since that sweet moment, a family has applied to adopt the dynamic duo and even brought their dog to meet Michelle and Kelly.
