Blue Mountain Hiking Trail - Halifax, Nova Scotia

In celebration of Canada Day; a hike to the highest point on Halifax's Chebucto peninsula. Blue Mountain, the namesake for the "Blue Mountain-Birch Cove Lakes Wilderness Area, provides a perspective on what could be the largest urban wilderness park in North America. A 2 hour return-trip hike, it's rugged, un-marked and diverse in scenery.
