Tips To Help Improve Your Chipping

I know you struggle with your chipping

Let's use something you've already got on your golf bag, a golf ball box. Here's two tricks to help you fix it

First things first, let's get you finding that middle. I know for a fact, right, I feel the same

Strikes towards the heel or out towards the toe. Just give you sleepless nights, right

So nice and simple, the first golf ball box, you're going to place just one fingertip outside the golf ball

The idea here is just miss the box. If you're someone who moves your hands closer towards the golf ball

on the through swing, you're going to catch the box. And if you're someone who goes a little bit out and pulls in

again, you're going to catch the box. So nice and simple. Let's see if we can play this chip and avoid the box

This is a bit of a tough one, actually. A little bit downhill. Left to right

Here we go. A little bit like that. Let's move on to number two

So the biggest route to consistency with your pitching and chipping is keeping that club on plane

If you whip it inside on the way back, we're in danger zone

So nice and simple, grab yourself a wedge of any description. I've got my 54 here and all I'm going to do is place it underneath my front foot

And this is actually really key. Listen to where I place that there under the ball of my big toe on my left foot

So for a right hander, it's on your left foot. For a left hander, it'd be on your right foot

Look at this. this from down the line now, if I whip this club inside, I'm going to contact the grip

What our aim is here is to swing back, swing through. The club may feel a little bit more out on the way back, but that's a great feeling for you

if you're whipping it inside. So nice, simple objective, don't hit the club on the way back or the way through

And you'll start to get those strikes a little bit like that
