0:28
right hi everyone it's global scholarships and I'm your host as I hope you're all doing well I hope everything is going great oh people are already
0:35
joining in so we are uh back here with another weekly live stream um on YouTube
0:42
and both Tik Tok if you do not know we are doing this on both sides every Friday we are live for you to come and
0:49
ask any questions that you might have um could be about global like it could be
0:55
about scholarships all around the world could be about studying abroad about universities in other countries that
1:01
General subject so who we are if you do not know us if maybe you are new here uh
1:06
we are Global scholarships we are a platform that shares uh lot of information on um scholarships and
1:13
studying abroad as you can see we have a website well we have a Tik Tok account we have a YouTube channel as you might
1:20
be watching us through right now and we also have a website oh hang on I also I
1:27
will always uh forget mentioning this this uh but we also hi there quma yes
1:33
you're always as always here it's really good to see you uh here again so um we
1:40
also have a newsletter like an an email newsletter that you might you can uh
1:47
sign in sign up for um so I really highly advise you to do that because
1:53
like uh Global scholarships send you mails not only about like scholarships
1:59
not only about opportunities but also um like kind of more personalized stuff
2:05
maybe you are in like maybe you're from a specific country maybe for example I'm from Turkey so when I sign up they send
2:12
me some emails specifically for people from Turkey like uh best opportunities for
2:18
Turkish people or maybe like I do not get opportunities that might be available for other people but not
2:24
available for me you know so yeah it's really good not only it's very informative
2:30
but also very kind of personalized it's really good and yeah we also have a on
2:37
our website you also have like course uh guides about like courses um
2:43
scholarships um hang on I'm going to have to show you like this because um
2:50
the frame rate is frame ratio is kind of messing up no not even that yeah this is
2:57
this sounds okay this looks better so we have courses scholarships as you can see
3:03
scholarships by degree by country and Etc we have resources section where we
3:09
share like among other things we share scholarship stories which I believe are
3:14
quite good for people who want to study uh abroad but do not know like what to
3:19
do uh like what kind of an experience is it so Global scholarships go goes out
3:25
and finds uh finds thank you very much Kama uh finds people who receive scholarships
3:33
like let's say for example scholarship uh stories by country let's click on Canada right and people who receive
3:41
scholarships and then have them share their experience and uh knowledge with
3:48
um people who wants to go and do the same thing like for example this person is in University of Toronto uh they're
3:54
doing their bachelor's scholarship uh they got Lester B Pearson scholarship which is one of the uh like one of the
4:01
most prestigious scholarships one of the most popular Scholarships in uh Canada
4:08
like what is it if you want to learn more about that you can just click here and go to our page for that scholarship
4:13
and learn all about it uh like it's for Bachelors in un University of Toronto
4:19
it's full funding uh it covers pretty much everything it's a very comprehensive scholarship so this person
4:25
um um like earned that scholarship and had the kindness to share their experience
4:32
with people um yeah H HLN a lot of people want to study in Canada uh so
4:38
like scholarship details educational backgrounds how did they prepare to apply for scholarships and
4:44
institutions what do they think made their application stand out what would
4:49
they have done differently a lot of people especially um hey what about applying Mex University recommendation
4:55
in these days am I late now when it comes to University and Etc
5:02
recommendation um like the best place to go would be obviously Aman aan what do you think about that they kid for kid
5:09
from Acron asked hey what about applying Max University recommendation in these
5:14
days am I late University
5:23
recommendation uh I believe that the deadlines have passed
5:28
already uh um so you'll probably want to apply next year I'm pretty sure that the
5:36
deadlines have passed okay so yes um now you can see
5:42
about other scholar government scholarships through here scholarships and like these and these are best
5:49
government scholarships and here as you can see we have d uh veneer Ching um
5:55
turkey scholarships and next is here um I don't think we have a yeah hang on we
6:02
have a page for that too yeah here it is so you can see pretty much everything
6:08
you might need here actually we have made a video on that too K asks are you aware of the
6:15
MasterCard Foundation scholarships at Arizona State University hello Arafat um
6:21
I hope you're doing well um Arizona State University MasterCard Foundation I
6:26
don't think I'm kind of uh familiar with that Aman do you know anything about
6:32
that um not really but if if it's for incoming International students it
6:38
should be uh in our database so Arizona State
6:45
University um yeah that that this is the one so let's click on scholarships for undergraduates they
6:52
have new American University scholarship for graduates they have graduate appointment and assistantships graduate
6:58
college enrichment Fellowship ship no uh I cannot see that here maybe let's go to
7:04
their scholarship page and try to find uh through
7:13
there anyway so what I'm trying to say is that we have a lot of information about a lot of guides about the about
7:20
specific scholarships wait what I don't think this is the
7:25
page we supposed to you're supposed to come um let's go
7:33
to let's go to admissions maybe we can find through there okay I
7:40
agree um let's see hang
7:47
on Arizona State University uh find my degree program
7:54
first your I just wanted to point out that you wouldn't be able to find it on our website because this qualifies as
8:01
external funding it's not offered by the university but offered by MasterCard so we just uh cover
8:09
scholarships at least in the database uh we cover scholarships that are offered by the universities uh we have uh
8:16
dedicated Pages for external scholarships but if they're Niche like this one offered by MasterCard we
8:23
usually don't really cover them yeah so like I mean you can I guess the best way
8:30
to go about it is uh like would be Googling that and like yeah you would
8:36
find that in probably not in the University's website too uh but on MasterCard foundation.org
8:47
program is a global global initiative designed to develop the next generation of transformative leaders by enabling
8:52
highly talented and service oriented young people primarily young Africans to pursue higher education and cultivate
8:58
their um leadership potential yeah so you can I guess you can go here where to
9:04
apply Mass Alumni network and Etc that might be a better way a better place to
9:09
find information so B asks
9:15
um is it easy to get acceptance from Arizona State um I'm not sure about
9:23
their um acceptance rate um do you have any information on that or maybe inside
9:30
um Amon I don't think they it would be extremely
9:36
low um yeah so it's it's really hard to
9:41
know that off uh just to know if any University is
9:48
easy to get to um the best thing you can do is just go onto their admission page
9:54
and then see them the requirements uh if there
10:00
just optional or if the SAT is required what the minimum ILS is required or tofo
10:07
or any language um proficiency exam is required
10:13
what the minimum uh requirements are generally GPA sat isets and then you can
10:22
basically GAE their standards uh as far as uh admission is is concerned so if
10:30
they require higher GPA higher SAT scores then it's going to be very
10:36
competitive because they're not just going to accept about anyone but if they're reasonable then your chances of
10:44
being admitted are higher some universities even share their uh acceptance rates uh others don't but uh
10:53
sometimes the information is available online somewhere it's not always reliable but uh you can just use it uh
11:03
to engage whether it's easy or relatively easy to
11:09
get into the university you're interested in yeah also like different programs can
11:15
have different uh levels of difficulty uh of getting into so for example here
11:21
uh like going from the example um that aan said I'm sorry I think there was a renovation uh upstairs so for example
11:29
like first year students must have this is for Arizona State University uh 3.0
11:34
grade point average and uh some asuu programs may have higher admission or
11:40
efficien or English proficiency requirements and may consider a minimum act or SAT score so uh yeah different
11:48
programs would be probably easier or more difficult to get
11:53
in yeah I think like there are some uh numbers that could that are going around
11:59
uh except for acceptance rates on Google but yeah they're not always very
12:05
reliable and kind of depends on your situation as well now by the way this is
12:13
135,000 that's a very large uh University so I guess probably not would
12:19
would not be that difficult like as difficult as some other schools that you
12:24
hear about in United States but still uh some programs might be ex difficult to
12:29
get into some some programs are like there are some universities that aren't
12:35
doing very uh like that aren't that picky they do not have very low
12:40
acceptance rates but for example sometimes they have a very prestigious program a program that uh that kind of
12:46
uh produce a lot of very prominent PE people on that um area uh so now those
12:52
programs are uh more popular and clearly it makes it more difficult to get into
12:57
those programs too like there are some schools that are known for specific programs for example I uh I I'm I'm
13:06
studying economics I have been studying economics and there are certain schools for example in Turkey too uh but also in
13:14
in general the world that are known specifically for their schools of economics and getting to economics
13:20
programs might be let's say more difficult to uh getting into then let's say I don't know international relations
13:26
or something yeah could be difficult for for different for different programs uh
13:32
this is um I'm so sorry like if like is the
13:38
um noise coming from the upstairs very um distracting if yes I might try to
13:45
find uh solution I'm not sure what uh by the way where are you from I'm from
13:51
Turkey so okay U this is global scholarships um as I said we have like
13:56
information on scholarships information on um like universities information on
14:03
like guides on for example we have a country guides let me show you that uh
14:08
in guide section we have let me just right uh we have
14:15
country guides for example study in Canada study in Singapore let's say you want to study in Canada right I can
14:21
click here and we have like a collection of very like a very comprehensive collection of guides for that specific
14:28
country that you can go and see from uh the pros and cons like higher education
14:33
information about higher education choosing a university best public universities blah blah blah all of these
14:39
are like Standalone um guides that we have collected for specific countries
14:45
English proficiency tests financing your studies like how to study uh for in that
14:50
country for free cost of studying um cheapest universities uh best that we
14:57
have done scholarship opportunities like best scholarships and Etc work opportunities which we don't
15:04
make a lot of content about if I'm being honest uh may be might be interesting
15:09
for interesting for a lot of people I'm from Turkey too and I want to get education from USA for University so you
15:16
are a high school student in um turkey I believe yeah um I do not know many
15:24
people uh who went to United States from Turkey for education I know quite a lot of people who went to places like um
15:31
Canada Germany United Kingdom Ireland um United States I think like uh language
15:40
might be from from my personal experience language is usually the largest like the main issue for a lot of
15:47
Turkish people when they want to go to go and study in like United States or
15:52
like England or any other country basically um so yes if you have any
15:59
specific questions uh we maybe like you can ask them we might be able to help you Aman is our expert he's here so yeah
16:07
now one thing I really want want to talk about is our Search tool which we like kind of showcase on every live stream so
16:15
basically when you go to Global scholarships.com this is the page you are faced with this is uh our main page
16:22
homepage right and as you can see we have a little search box here now this
16:27
is a great tool it's complet completely free there's as you can see there is no registration or anything here you can
16:32
just go to the website and let's say you are from turkey and you want to study in
16:37
the United States right let's say United States let's click choose that and it
16:45
will show you all the scholarships that we have in United States in our database so we have about 1,800 scholarships
16:52
right um now we have as you can see some filters actually we have more filters yeah this is better um like
16:59
degree um location scholarship type scholarship deadline subjects and nationalities you know what let's choose
17:06
let's choose turkey H for nationality and see how many of these become
17:11
unavailable right let's say
17:16
turkey yeah like 50 out of 1,00 less than 50 probably
17:23
so basically a lot of scholarships do not care about your nationality you can
17:28
be from anywhere they will accept you um they're for all nationalities there are
17:34
some scholarships that specifically for maybe for people coming from
17:39
um developing countries maybe like for um refugees Asylum Seekers uh that type
17:47
of thing uh but usually they are just like let's choose this one like a random
17:52
one and usually yeah for example this one um we have some eligible nationalities
17:59
uh this is the link uh it's it's just Global scholarships.com and just let me
18:05
just share the link that's what you want so um a lot of these like when you
18:15
hang on I'll get to that so you want to study bachelor's right let's choose
18:22
Bachelors so we have more than a thousand scholarship in our database for
18:27
Turkish students for bachelor's degrees um you'll see a lot of these are
18:32
financial aids a lot of universities in United States have financial aid scholarships which are
18:38
basically you tell University that I want to study in your school but I do
18:43
not have enough funds to cover my um expenses so uh the university asks you
18:50
um how much can you cover basically you go through something called uh CSS
18:57
profile um if you want to study in United States Bic uh this might be very
19:04
important for you so CIS profile each year unlocks access to more than $10 billion in non-federal Aid to thousands
19:10
of students basically you uh this is a platform to apply for financial aid from different uh places different
19:17
universities or different institutions you go to CSS uh usually financial aid
19:23
scholarships are done through CSS profile um you go and you give them information about your your um financial
19:30
situation like how much your um how much your parents are uh earning how much tax
19:35
they pay and etc etc and then you get it give that information to the university and the university take that information
19:42
takes that information and says okay you will need this much financial aid to be
19:48
able to study here and if you get the scholarship they will cover usually they will cover uh
19:55
completely like all of that right so there are a lot of financial aids
20:01
here um if you want to study United States in the United States as a uh Bachelor student this might be like a
20:07
financial aid might be your best bed because there are a lot of
20:14
them so we have scholarship type now scholarship there are three scholarship
20:20
types basically we have um partial funding we have full tuition and we have full funding partial funding means it
20:27
covers less than tuition fees of the University let's say uh let's choose
20:33
partial funding right yes so as you can see of that
20:39
about, scholarships around 900 are partial funding so partial
20:45
fundings uh like they give you less they give the student less uh which is why
20:51
there there are so many of the like most of most scholarships that you will see are uh kind of partial scholarships for
20:58
example let's say this one Regional awards at Oregon state university in the United
21:05
States now this is partial because it gives you
21:10
$112,000 now $112,000 is not nothing to sneeze at it's it's a good amount of uh
21:16
financial aid obviously but um the university charges
21:22
a tuition fee of $113,000 every year and since this is
21:29
not this is a one-time payment I know actually this is $122,000 per year but
21:36
for different people it is 2,000 8,000 10,000 and 12,000 so even at the best
21:44
case scenario it will not cover the tuition fees of the University so which
21:50
is why it is partial because like you will always have to pay more just to
21:55
cover your tuition fees all right so it covers less than your tuition fees then we have these type of SCH types of
22:02
scholarships could be like giving you just onetime payment uh giving you a certain amount of money every year that
22:09
is not higher than the uh tuition fees um they might be just tuition um
22:15
discount like if you get this scholarship you will pay uh 50% 70% 80%
22:22
of like this will cover 80% of the schoar uh of the tuition fees um they're
22:27
all partial f funding we have full tuition scholarships which are basically
22:34
uh it just covers the tuition V that's all that's it very pure and simple about
22:39
a 100 of um scholarships are that so 888
22:45
109 here and not much left and yeah so 68 is full funding full funding it means
22:52
it covers the tuition fees and it gives you something a little more uh could be like covering your accommodation could
22:59
be giving you a living sent uh to cover your living expenses could be a certain allowance um
23:06
sometimes universities gives give you like specific allowances for like book allowance um maybe a laptop allowance
23:13
and Etc uh so yeah those are full-f funding
23:18
scholarships so let's say Bic um you have 6 to8 scholarships that are
23:25
available for you if you want to study for bachelor's study bachelors in the United States but
23:31
these are just the ones that are by the universities keep that in mind so like
23:37
there are other scholarships as well like government scholarships like scholarships from external external um
23:43
institutions like the one um kma just asked about like MasterCard Foundation
23:50
scholarships there are a lot of Institutions uh that are giving scholarships to specific students I'm
23:56
pretty sure like I know for fact that there are um institutions in the United States giving scholarships to Turkish uh
24:05
students so yeah you might also want to look at those two usually let's not say
24:11
usually but they might not be uh full funding all of them so as you can see
24:17
these are usually need-based financial aid uh some of them are like Merit
24:24
Scholarships um yeah need-based financial aid I kind of talked about like um basically um the university
24:33
gives you how much you cannot cover uh like the amount that you cannot cover from your um expenses
24:42
so financial aid it's Sanford University the vien International Scholarship this
24:48
is interesting in Brand's University hang on I made a video about
24:53
BR it's not here okay so this is at Brand University V International
24:59
Scholarship uh at brandes University it is full funding there are no nationalities or
25:05
subjects [Music] um so yeah this also covers 100% of the
25:12
students financial needs so it's not like we give you this this and this and this it's more like uh we'll cover
25:19
whatever you need we have first year International students financial aid um yeah they're
25:26
all financial aids basically chman Scholars Program let's see this one in
25:31
Purdue um for Bachelors full funding it covers full tuition fees room and board
25:38
and textbooks so this is a very good example of a full funding scholarship it
25:43
covers um tuition fees uh some scholarships do not cover room and board for four years by the way
25:50
for the entire uh uh process by the way sometimes like it's four years the university but they can cover like cover
25:57
room and board for two years I will go to arasmus next summer vacation what
26:02
should I do I want to stay there for Education um I'm not sure about the
26:10
connection between um arasmus and studying like going as a international
26:17
as an international student um hi there kma I saw your question we're going to come back to in a second after we go
26:23
through jl's question um Aman what do you think about that I'm like we've never talked about erasmos and um like
26:31
normal studying as a as an international student and like what kind of
26:36
connections there might be um I don't quite get the question though um and I can't see it either so
26:44
would you please oh uh it's on Tik Tok um yeah but the comments are not showing
26:50
for me um yeah yeah sorry um I will go to arasmus next summer vacation what should
26:57
I do I want to stay there for education I think they are saying like they want to study uh as an international student
27:05
uh in country they are going with arasmus I think that kind of also depends on the country uh I think
27:10
they're asking like what can I do uh during my arasmus arasmus process that
27:18
like that would make it easier for me to go there as an international student but
27:24
arasmus is already a scholarship for exchange and interational students so it's an exchange program mhm if you're
27:32
going through Erasmus you're already a student as far as I know um so I'm not
27:38
sure how can you go through it and then want to be a student uh that's the part
27:44
I don't get I think maybe like they're doing Bachelors now they're going for Erasmus and then uh they also want to
27:51
maybe do their master's degree uh on that country H Jim can you if you can uh
27:57
to stay per to stay in that um university so yeah I mean I don't think it's an
28:05
option because it's Exchange program usually it's six months to a year and then you go back to your
28:12
University or you go to a different campus in a different country that's
28:17
that that's just program dependent so you can't go through Rasmus then stay
28:23
there permanently it's just an exchange program because the universities
28:29
uh do that with each other so they have an agreement where you as a student you
28:35
go there for a while then you go back uh so there is no a
28:41
permanent Arrangement where you can just stay there uh if you want to stay there
28:48
as a permanent student you need a different scholarship uh because that's not how
28:53
Erasmus works yeah I mean good idea might be
29:00
like if you want to actually stay there and be a student permanently in that
29:07
country or maybe start living there uh might be like you can't spend that time
29:13
to uh maybe make connections with a the teachers professors so that you might be
29:20
able to later apply for a master's program like it might be it might make
29:25
it more make it easier for you to um study and like spend the rest of your
29:31
time uh during bachelor's uh and preparing for a Master's application uh that might make
29:38
your uh make it easier for you to go there as a master student or a PhD student so yeah that might I think that
29:45
might be something you could do but yeah you cannot kind of like extend um
29:51
arasmus to uh a permanent state so um
29:59
qua now types of financial aid so you ask is the undergraduate scholarship at
30:06
barrier College still open um which specific scholarship are you
30:12
asking about like I don't see any undergraduate uh
30:19
scholarship like named that way uh we have institutional work
30:25
study so let's see so this is still open this is partial
30:31
funding though [Music] um we have in
30:39
Pera labor Grant I think this is still open too yes
30:47
and then we also have tution promise this is full tution meaning uh it covers
30:53
the tuition fees completely and it is also open like all
30:59
the undergraduate scholarships are open right now for application if you're asking for a for a different specific
31:07
scholarship uh yeah scholarship um maybe ask about them also they do not
31:14
charge tuition fees uh but I believe this is a is a part of the uh tuition
31:19
promise scholarship so yeah uh if you can like
31:26
if you can make the question at little more detailed uh maybe it can help you
31:31
better but as far as I can see yeah all the scholarships are open for application right now you can just for
31:37
for example for this um yeah we made we have made a video
31:44
about that uh you can just click on official scholarship page and go to the University's page and
31:50
see um yeah they did not cover they did not charge tuition fee basically um I think we have made a
31:58
video uh about like tuition free universities in the United States so
32:03
this was one of them I remember it from there I
32:09
guess so you pay is um no no not
32:17
really okay if you are asking for an about another scholership uh just let me
32:23
know and we can look into that other than that I'll show you a couple of scholarships actually two scholarships
32:29
today um to kind of like give you an idea how about how our like website and
32:37
our scholarship thingy works so uh the first
32:43
one let's see uh where did I put all that okay so the first one is free
32:51
tuition free tuition and cologne university university of cologne so
32:57
basically uh this is a German University we have seen a lot of German universities uh before on our live
33:03
streams uh on our uh like videos clips and Etc so a lot of German universities do not
33:10
charge uh charge you any tuition fee so the education is kind of free um some people might not see this as a
33:17
scholarship but rather just free education uh but like when compared to
33:22
universities in like United States and Etc uh it is it is a scholarship in in
33:27
the sense that you do not pay any tuition fees and this is for bachelor's Masters and PhD students if I remember
33:34
correctly it did not used to be like that uh like you would like you used to pay uh tuition fees for German
33:42
universities too and some of them just said okay uh that's enough we're not going to ask for tuition fees from now
33:48
on um which is why it is uh classified as ftan so there are no specific
33:55
nationalities there are no specific subjects if your uh desired subject for
34:02
us University okay uh bony fufa asks any suggestions for us University now um if
34:10
you give us a little bit more information about yourself uh or like what you want what are you looking for
34:17
uh then maybe we can help you a little better like if there's a specific um if
34:23
there's a specific program that you want to study if there's a specific specific uh like
34:28
for example are you planning to study Bachelors uh like give us a little bit more information about yourself uh so
34:35
that Aman might be might have more insights for you qua says I'm told they
34:40
have an automatic undergraduate scholarship they might be talking about the
34:47
um uh they might be talking about the tuition promise uh I would ask for that further
34:55
so this now the way I see
35:02
it um so it says free
35:11
tuition also one of the scholarships are one of the scholarships is a tuition
35:17
promise scholarship so uh this might be the one they are talking about right because let's
35:24
say yeah you do not apply for this so there is no separate application needed
35:30
for tuition promise scholarship just apply yeah this is probably this is the one they are talking about uh it's
35:35
automatic you do not um apply for it specifically like it does not have it
35:40
does not require a separate application um it's just that you apply and you do
35:46
not pay a tuition fee but of course since the uh scholarship name includes
35:53
the word promise I would go here and read uh like what what's it
36:00
about
36:11
um so yeah um like go here like this is probably the one you are talking about
36:18
uh but there of course there are other Scholarships in this University let's see
36:26
barrier one one scholarship was yeah for example institutional work study uh but I think
36:32
you you would have to apply for this one I don't think this
36:38
automatic okay it says there's no separate application for this
36:43
too H how about this uh labor
36:50
Grant okay you also do not apply for this either yeah they're all like um uh
36:57
yeah go ahead so for B yes they offer uh a
37:03
scholarship that is full funded for all International students so if you're
37:08
accepted you get a a a scholarship that is that covers 100% of everything so
37:15
it's fully funded and it says that on their website uh they are saying that they're
37:21
the only school in the United States that provide 100% of funding to 100% of
37:26
enrolled en International students so I I believe that's the one Guam is talking
37:33
about um uh yeah so it is on their
37:39
website okay so hang
37:46
on um let's see if we can find the scholarships
37:54
invoices tution
38:03
um hang on uh so is there is there like a reason that we don't have that in our database
38:30
also they also accept dualingo test um aan I think you're
38:40
muted did you ask me something sorry my my zoom like yeah I said like is there a
38:46
specific reason that we do not have that in our database um I'm not sure
39:00
okay uh so yeah that might be the one you are talking about go so Bonnie Fu sorry go ahead sorry
39:09
yeah uh it doesn't have a specific page but it's just casually listed as one
39:15
sentence and I think whoever made the page missed it and that's why we don't
39:20
have it I see okay um like I would ask them like maybe contact the university
39:28
and ask more like ask for more information about that
39:34
uh just link the page on in the chat I guess all right great yeah so bony fufa
39:44
um says they have they have a Ms offer
39:49
in computer science um Amon like can like can you
39:55
give any um advices based on that like this information or um do you like you
40:04
would ask for specific inform for a specific piece of
40:09
information so what is the information exactly I still can't see the comments on Tik Tok interest for me any
40:17
suggestion suggestions for us University and I asked like like to give more
40:23
information about themselves they said I have a a m offer in computer
40:33
science they have a master's in computer science I think
40:40
so and what degree do you want to pursue another Master's PhD
40:46
degree so yeah we we definitely need more information um the fact that you're
40:52
from Ethiopia is not that uh
40:58
that relevant I don't think so you have bachelors and you want to study your
41:04
Masters in the United States in computer science I um assume is that
41:14
true yes okay so they are from H they have a bachelor's degree on computer
41:20
science in Ethiopia and they want to study Masters in the United States okay
41:26
what would you say uh and are you looking for scholarships or are you just going to fund your own
41:34
education no they need they said they need scholarship sorry I I think I admitted
41:40
that okay um
41:45
so every University I I don't think there is necessarily a bad choice if
41:51
you're looking for a good choice uh to apply um I don't think there are many
42:00
scholarships that are need based for master students not to say that there aren't any at all all scholarships are
42:07
given based on Merit so um if you have a good GPA if you have
42:14
good grades um as a bachelor student then you might be able to secure some
42:23
scholarships uh that are offered for incoming students so they're just
42:28
entrance scholarships um if not they're they're always graduate assistantships but those
42:35
are not easy to to get or
42:40
uh they're just generally very competitive not anyone can uh study and
42:47
teach so you need to be very qualified in the subject you're going
42:53
for uh and they're not offered at the time of admission they're offered
42:59
at a much later stage um so yeah there
43:05
are a few options but it's not as they're not as accessible as they would
43:12
have been for undergraduate students because sometimes for undergraduate students uh you get scholarships based
43:19
on your need a lot so you don't really
43:25
uh Improv provided that you meet the minimum requirements for entrance at the
43:30
University uh that that's all you need but for Masters the the standards are
43:36
higher your grades have to reflect uh that you
43:44
are uh competent enough for the University to fund your
43:49
education uh scholarships are not easy at that level Master's PhD that's very
43:55
serious uh these are degrees that are sometimes based on research um so you need to demonstrate a
44:05
certain level of competence before you'll be able to secure any kind of
44:12
scholarship so Adriana asks uh what about agriculture so you can go to our
44:18
uh Search tool and um filter for agriculture the first scholarships you
44:23
will see um are the scholarships that spefic specifically mentions specifically mentioned uh
44:30
agriculture but um like if you have more like if you want to get more information
44:36
uh you'll need to give us more detail like the country maybe uh what you want to do the degree you want to study uh
44:44
maybe like there's a specific type of scholarship like I can only study with a
44:50
with like full funding scholarships um or something like if you get give us more details you might be be
44:57
able to help you a little better so back to free tuition um so yeah a lot of
45:03
universities in Germany do not charge you tuition fees they do charge you a spec a certain amount of uh semester
45:10
fees though it's about 320 per uh per semester so it's about
45:16
€600 per year um which is like it's not a tuition fee it's just like more about
45:23
kind of covering the general expenses of the University um again no nationalities no subjects
45:30
nothing you can apply for anything from anywhere and uh the admission deadline
45:35
is January 15th not much to be said about this uh
45:40
but I let's let me show you the university so this is the university university of colum it's kind of a large
45:48
University um the thing is as you can see there's just one scholarship in this
45:54
University so German universities usually do not charge tuition fees but
45:59
for that specific reason they also do notay do not give out a lot of scholarships like the United States
46:05
universities do uh for example let's see it is Canada yeah let's see on
46:12
a Arbor an arbor let's say University of Michigan
46:18
right as you can see this school University of Michigan an American school has seven scholarships seven
46:26
different scholarships that they offer to the students so pretty much like the
46:31
a similar population um univers of colog doesn't give any scholarships like that
46:38
it's just there's just one but that's the one we are talking about free tuition so yeah they do not uh charge
46:45
you tuition fees but also they do not give you like additional um financial
46:50
aid in shape of a scholarship but um is this scholarship
46:57
also for postgraduate program if you are talking about this free tuition um yes
47:03
for every program Germany basically like uh a lot of universities in Germany do
47:08
not charge tuition fee whether you are bachelor's Masters or PhD doesn't matter
47:13
um so yeah this is the University it's a really good University like Germany has in general have has a
47:22
high level of high quality of Education now one thing that I really like about
47:27
universities is that they do not charge tuition fee they not tuition fees they did not give you scholarships but what
47:34
they give you is also again comment section uh we have a comment section on
47:41
every page and you can like leave your questions as comments here and H founder
47:47
of global scholarships answers every single one of them every single question I'm not sure how he finds time to do
47:54
that but it does so like if I had a question about a specific scholarship uh
48:00
I this is where I would put my question so uh you can click on official scholarship page um and as you can see
48:08
they give you a lot of information German universities usually um like so financing your studies people
48:16
depend on usually a job a scholarship a loan um part-time jobs are usually
48:22
available I have a couple of friends who went to Germany for for studying um one
48:29
actually went there TW twice one for uh like language school and another time
48:35
for I think it was Masters so uh none of them had any difficulty finding a
48:41
part-time job to finance their um their education
48:47
so um they give you more information like the costs at the University and
48:53
living costs now if you want to go uh and study in Japan let's say Tokyo um
49:00
how much will it cost you wouldn't know like there is like you can't estimate using some tools uh but usually German
49:07
universities give you very specific information like this like detailed
49:12
information and it's their estimation is that like there it's
49:18
986 per month and that includes rent which is like very I'm not sure if
49:26
it's like a like an average apartment in
49:31
cologne cologne is a very large city um and 400 440 is very affordable it's
49:38
actually kind of depressing the fact that um 440 is more affordable than average uh
49:48
rent in the city that I live in in Turkey so that's kind of depressing from
49:53
my perspective uh but like I don't know what kind of apartment they use for the
49:59
rent uh but I guess like it's kind of a you know University life maybe it's kind of like a yeah hi there love welcome
50:08
here yes I I I probably am I'm a celebrity in tnis I were I was in a
50:15
couple of like TV shows and movies you might know me from there so uh that's
50:21
the rent that's probably like a small apartment build small apartment uh for
50:26
like a student maybe like studio apartment and
50:31
Etc element that basically means that your like foods and stuff uh that you
50:36
would need semester fee is also included so it's not like you have to pay 986 per month and then also €300 per
50:45
semester uh that is included uh in here and then they have something called
50:50
Financial proof basically um so before you are able to go there
50:59
Germany uh thank you very much uh love uh basically before you go there Germany
51:06
um asks for proof that you will be able to cover like you will be able to finance you
51:12
cover your uh expenses for like a year so they have something called a block account um basically you put about like
51:21
12,000 uh like or expenses for a year uh on on accounted blocked uh that is your
51:28
own money it's not like it's not like you are paying that to Germany like German government to go there it's just
51:34
a proof that you will not go there and find yourself out of means out of money
51:39
uh it's just their way of making sure that uh you know they're not bringing in
51:46
people who will have issues uh supporting themselves so yeah this is
51:53
one uh you can also get information about about scholarships and student loan and um studying and
52:01
working different for E EA C
52:07
citizens so International students from non EA countries have to consider legal restrictions when working this way
52:14
financing the costs of living by working is not possible at best International students can earn some extra money yeah
52:22
are allowed to work up to 140 full days per per year so yeah keep that in mind
52:30
so we have scholarships um again not that many scholarships coming from universities but we have for example the
52:38
scholarship it's a government scholarship uh it's one of the more popular government scholarships which
52:43
you can get more information on by going to Global scholarships.com
52:48
going to scholarships under popular government scholarships clicking on D
52:55
scholarships and as you can see it's kind of like a
53:00
popular um scholarship by the fact that there are like 12 questions here and
53:06
again all of them are answered by here so yeah can find some scholarships
53:14
but um not that many there are student loans but one thing that um like that is
53:21
really good about Germany is that how kind of I think it comes from their culture uh about financial uh issues
53:29
like they are they played very safe so like uh you will have to have your the
53:37
amount of amount you will need it's kind of very spec very like in a very detailed way estimated it's in a block
53:44
account and you will go there you will go you will you know how much you're going to have to pay and like you will
53:52
not go there and you know go into debt like an insane student loan debt and
53:58
will be unable to pay like comparing it to United States will be unable to pay
54:03
your tuition fees and then be expelled by the university and like blah blah blah a lot of American C students also a
54:11
lot of American people still um struggle with um student loan debt student debt
54:19
so yeah Germany feels a little safer on that again anyway so yeah that's pretty
54:26
much it for today about the things we are here to talk about
54:33
um if you have any questions um ask them right now in the chat and we'll do our
54:39
best to answer them for you otherwise we'll kind of end the live stream here and yeah uh we are here every Friday you
54:48
can come in and ask questions that you might have um at the same time at the
54:53
same day um same hour um it's usually like an hour live stream hour long live
55:00
stream so other than that we are like um sharing videos on both Tik
55:09
Tok and YouTube all the time if you're interested in studying abroad uh they might be quite um informative for
55:16
you so yeah that's pretty much it um I don't see any new questions so I'm going
55:22
to end the live stream here thank you very much for coming in and joining our live streams and if you're watching this
55:28
after do you have any idea about getting a scholarship in Swiss so um Switzerland
55:34
has some scholarships ask Al
55:41
fedel um not that many usually uh the large issue like the main issue you will
55:49
have um about for studying in uh Switzerland is not that uh they have
55:55
high um tuition fees usually for example Geneva Graduate
56:01
Institute um they not have high uh very high like it's about 8,000 9,000 and
56:08
this is like the higher end uh tuition fees but living expenses obviously are very very very high um Switzerland is
56:16
one of the most expensive places you can live in I think like you would have
56:21
about like 1,500 to 2,000 um dollar or Euros uh dollars kind of more than that
56:29
actually uh to be able to live there so like we have a couple of those we have 20 three scholarships some of them are
56:36
uh full funding like full tution will not do it for you probably uh anyone do
56:41
you want to say anything about this do you have any idea about getting a scholarship in
56:46
Swiss um I would check out the Swiss government Excellence scholarships mhm
56:53
they're offered by uh the sus government I think the deadline is around the end
56:59
of the year every year so probably we're approaching that and the deadline is
57:04
around December um so yeah so check that out I think it's basically similar to the daad
57:14
in Germany uh or the ifo uh Excellence scholarship in
57:21
France so these are uh scholarships offered by governments where tuition is
57:28
either free or uh cheap and they will cover the rest
57:34
of your expenses um I think generally the Swiss
57:40
uh government scholarship is offered to a research program so it would be like for PhD
57:47
and I'm not sure about Masters but I am uh 100% sure that BD students are the
57:55
main target of this uh
58:00
scholarship yeah I don't see I shared the link uh for you Al Fel you can look
58:06
into that I don't see anything about Masters here either again this also is a
58:14
popular um scholarship from the fact that you can see like there are a lot of
58:19
uh comments in the page anyway uh I think that was the last
58:24
question uh I think thank you every everyone for joining in uh if you're watching this after uh the live stream
58:31
on um YouTube is a VOD thank you very much for watching and we'll be here next
58:37
week and we'll be sharing a lot of stuff that like as much as we can we can um
58:43
about scholarships and studying abroad Aman thank you very much for joining here uh joining me here today yeah thank
58:51
you for having me okay well um have a nice week and see you next Friday bye take care
