Hi everyone, it's Global Scholarships
0:02
and I'm your host AZ. I hope you're all
0:03
doing well. I hope everything is going
0:05
great and today we'll see the
0:06
application procedure of Technical
0:08
University of Berlin in Germany. So um
0:12
as always you can just start off by
0:14
googling the name of the university or
0:16
you can do what I do and Google the name
0:18
of the university with
0:20
globalcolarships.com. Let's hit enter
0:22
and you'll see our page here. This is
0:24
the page that we have for this
0:26
university. As you can see we have a lot
0:27
of information here. location,
0:29
population, number of scholarships. So,
0:31
I'm doing these uh application tutorials
0:34
right now uh because there are a lot of
0:36
universities in Germany who are
0:37
accepting applications who are free. So,
0:40
if you do not know that a lot of uh
0:43
Germany universities, they do not charge
0:44
you tuition fees. You only have to pay
0:46
about €300 or something like that uh per
0:50
semester as a semester fee as a
0:52
contribution. So, yeah, you can get more
0:54
information about the university. Uh
0:56
they also do have DAD scholarships of
0:58
course. Uh if if you have if you want
1:01
more information you can just leave your
1:03
questions here in our comment section
1:05
and as you can see he only answers all
1:07
of them. He's the founder of global
1:09
scholarships. Anyway from here to
1:11
proceed with our application. Uh we
1:13
click here in the bachelor section.
1:16
Click on admission page and we have
1:18
three different qualifications here.
1:20
applicants with a German higher
1:21
education entrance qualification with an
1:23
international higher education entrance
1:25
qualification and professionally
1:27
qualified applicants. Uh let's click on
1:30
this one uh which is I am and I do
1:32
believe that a lot of you would be in
1:34
that category. The following information
1:36
is prospective students with an
1:38
international university entrance
1:39
qualification who are interested in
1:41
applying to a bachelor's degree program
1:43
or the preparatory school of or
1:45
precourse. So we have admission
1:47
requirements, application and admission,
1:49
enrollment, downloads, FAQ, etc. Uh you
1:52
can just click here on admission
1:53
requirements to see the admission
1:55
requirements for this specific
1:57
qualification as a submission of the
2:00
application within the deadline. Of
2:01
course, this is what we are trying to do
2:03
here. Inverse entrance qualification
2:05
certificate matching the bachelor's
2:06
degree program applied for language
2:09
skills. You can click on any one of
2:11
these by the way to get more
2:12
information. For example, uh this is
2:15
this is for example uh all the
2:17
recognized ways of getting the proof of
2:19
German language skills. Uh you can you
2:21
can see all of this and then we have
2:23
applicant groups here. Applicant group A
2:26
application to the preparatory school to
2:28
take the assessment test. uh if you do
2:30
not know uh they have like a one year
2:33
it's also called student colleague a
2:35
one-year preparatory course and then you
2:38
take the assessment test after that and
2:41
then you will like you would be
2:43
guaranteed to qualify for education in
2:46
Germany application for the precourse a
2:49
preparatory language course and then we
2:50
have applicant group Citizens of
2:53
countries other than EU Iceland
2:55
likenstein and Norway and stateless
2:57
persons applying for the first degree
2:59
degree semester for first degree
3:01
program. So we have more here but I
3:04
think a lot of you will be at this
3:06
group. So let's click on that. It's
3:08
pretty much the same. Nationals of
3:10
countries other than EU etc. Direct
3:13
international university entrance
3:15
qualification proof of German language
3:17
skill at proficiency level DS age 2 or
3:20
higher who wish to apply for the first
3:22
degree semester first degree program. So
3:25
uh then there is the question of uh
3:28
citizenship. you can get more
3:29
information about that uh re-registry
3:32
like if this is not the first time
3:33
you're applying or enrolling in this
3:35
university and then we have of course
3:37
how to apply. So how do we apply is you
3:41
go to here as you can see log on to the
3:43
my assist online portal on the UNI
3:46
assist website. So let's talk about UNI
3:48
assist a little bit. Basically, UNI
3:50
assist is a platform uh that handles uh
3:53
the international qualifications all
3:55
that like Messi uh different countries
3:57
have different qualifications. Some of
3:59
them are in some ways compatible with
4:01
German universities, some of them are
4:03
not and not every single German
4:05
university can go through all of that
4:07
like that had that needs a lot of human
4:10
hours like labor. So basically there's a
4:13
platform called Uni Assist. You go there
4:16
uh you create an account. I've also made
4:18
a standalone tutorial for a uni assist
4:20
applications. You can also uh look at
4:22
that in our channel. But basically, you
4:24
create an account, you give them your
4:26
information, you upload a lot of
4:27
documents that they need you and then
4:29
you have to pay them a 75
4:32
uh application fee and then they will
4:34
send your application uh to this
4:37
university or like any other uh
4:39
university in Germany really. If you are
4:41
not from EU or one of those countries,
4:44
basically you will probably need to
4:46
apply through UNICES. Applying to the
4:48
university is free, but you have to pay
4:50
€75 to UNI assist basically. So select
4:53
TU Berlin bachelor's degree program and
4:56
etc etc. So we're going to do all of
4:58
these. They warn you about unsist
5:00
charges handling fees for the pre-check
5:02
which must be paid before your
5:03
application can be processed. So and
5:05
then we have application documents.
5:06
We'll see all of that in a second, but
5:08
yeah, that's pretty much it. Now here
5:10
we're going to click on this here my
5:13
assist online portal or you can just go
5:14
to uh uni assist website. So you can
5:17
choose the course uh the university etc
5:21
etc. But we're not signed in yet. So
5:23
after signing in uh we would have to do
5:27
this uh all over again. So I'll just
5:29
click on sign in. Uh we do not have an
5:32
account. So we create we'll create a new
5:34
account. We'll need email password and
5:36
reenter password. Um, I'm going to use
5:38
some fake information here and like a
5:40
temporary email. Uh, but doesn't really
5:42
matter because in the end I will not pay
5:44
them €75 and I will not send the fake
5:47
application to the university. These are
5:50
just uh for demonstration purposes and
5:52
hopefully the German government will not
5:54
go after me anyway. So, let's fill in
5:56
all of these and let's create a new
5:59
account. And then they sent us an email
6:02
with an activation link. We're going to
6:03
use that to be able to sign in. Okay.
6:06
So, I've clicked on the link that
6:07
they've sent me in my temporary email
6:09
address and my account has been
6:11
activated. So, I'm just going to sign in
6:14
now here. I'll just type in my email and
6:16
password and let's sign in. Okay. So,
6:20
we're going to give them some
6:21
information. We'll have like personal
6:22
information, contact information, etc.,
6:24
etc. These are just the first steps of
6:27
creating the account. Then, we'll have
6:29
to answer a lot of questions for the
6:31
university. Uh, but these are just going
6:33
to be some random answers for me.
6:34
Obviously, you need to be very careful
6:36
about answering all of them uh with
6:38
correct information. So, yeah, let's do
6:40
that. Also, it might be German in your
6:43
case. Uh you can turn it to English
6:46
here. Okay. So, name, gender, name, etc.
6:50
Birth, uh date of birth, place of birth,
6:52
citizenship, and are you married to a
6:55
citizen of the European Union or the
6:57
European Economic Area who is working in
6:59
Germany? I've answered no. and okay now
7:03
to contact information. So I'm going to
7:05
give them that. Okay, pretty much the
7:06
same some random information and let's
7:09
click on continue. So this is only
7:10
necessary for DOSV and that's a whole
7:13
other topic. If you're interested in
7:14
that you can just Google it but it won't
7:17
be relevant for most of you I believe.
7:19
So I'm going to click on continue. Of
7:21
course it's not necessary here. And then
7:23
we have educational uh history, school
7:25
living qualifications, degrees etc. Have
7:28
you graduated from school? Let's say
7:30
yes. In which country have you graduated
7:32
from school or will be graduating
7:34
shortly? Name of your highest school
7:36
leaving certificate, etc., etc. Okay, so
7:40
uh I put in Turkey and they give me a
7:42
couple of different like school leaving
7:45
certificates that are available in
7:46
Turkey. I've chose just like a normal
7:49
high school diploma with 12 year
7:51
education like secondary school. Uh have
7:54
you passed? Uh okay, remember I talked
7:56
about student colleague. Uh so like this
7:59
is the exam that you take at the end of
8:01
that one-year preparatory course. So if
8:04
you had like had nothing to do with
8:05
that, you can just choose no here. After
8:07
graduating from school, have you
8:08
completed or will soon complete a first
8:11
degree program of at least 3 years. I
8:14
chose no. And then I've read and
8:16
accepted etc etc. I'm going to enter my
8:19
passport one more time. Yep. So any
8:22
messages from UNISS will be made
8:24
available to you in your inbox. I hereby
8:27
confirm that I regularly check my inbox
8:29
for new messages. So this is basically
8:31
do not be responsible if they send you a
8:33
message but you don't see it because you
8:36
don't check your inbox. Uh then the
8:38
responsibility is on you. Anyway, our
8:40
account is kind of done. Uh so we're
8:42
going to create uh start our application
8:44
right now. Here we're going to choose
8:46
the university. Again you can apply to a
8:48
lot of universities in Germany uh
8:50
through Uni Assist. Uh but here we're
8:52
going to choose Berlin. And here we have
8:56
technical university of Berlin. Uh can
8:59
choose federal state bachelor and this
9:02
is going to give us a lot of courses
9:04
here. As you can see it's a bachelor
9:05
course. We have like three pages worth.
9:07
Uh you can get information about any one
9:09
of them. Clicking on show details or uh
9:13
you can choose them etc. So here I'm
9:16
going to choose any one of them doesn't
9:17
really matter. I'm going to choose
9:19
architecture bachelor of science and
9:21
then I'm going to choose one. Uh this is
9:24
basically the first semester and let's
9:26
add to selection and it is added. Now I
9:29
can add more if I want or I can just go
9:33
here to select my selection list and as
9:36
you can see this is how we end our
9:39
application basically. But first we have
9:41
to answer some of the mandatory
9:43
questions and then pay handling fees.
9:46
But before that we have to upload our
9:49
documents online only on the
9:50
application. For this application, the
9:52
university accepts an online only
9:54
application for UNI assist precheck.
9:56
Simply upload all the required documents
9:58
to your my assist account. In some
10:01
cases, you will need to submit further
10:02
documents and or officially certified
10:05
copies to the university later. So,
10:06
we're going to do that. But first, let's
10:08
answer our unanswered mandatory
10:10
questions. Now, unfortunately, I'm not
10:13
sure if that's the reason, but I think
10:15
this is because uh we are applying to a
10:18
German program because I'm pretty sure
10:20
I've when I applied to a when I was
10:22
trying to apply to an English program
10:24
for other uh one of other tutorials,
10:28
this could be in English, but we're
10:29
applying to a German program. So, this
10:31
whole thing is in German. I just used
10:34
translate to help me understand what it
10:36
is. Uh you can do that, too. We have a
10:39
lot of questions here. Some of them are
10:40
mandatory and you can see we'll at least
10:42
have to answer 11 questions here. These
10:45
are general questions and then
10:46
university also has another 28 questions
10:49
that uh that are mandatory for us. So
10:51
I'm going to do those and I'm going to
10:53
go over uh the questions for you. So
10:56
first of all we're going to give them
10:57
information here information about the
10:59
last school we went to the high school
11:02
that you've graduated or something like
11:04
that. And of course uh like they have
11:06
like when you've been that in that
11:09
school month and year to month and year
11:11
the name where it was uh like what
11:14
country the name of the certificate you
11:16
got at the end of that education and the
11:19
date of that certificate. So I'm going
11:20
to fill that in. Okay. So I've gave them
11:22
some information. I made up school in
11:25
Turkey uh from 2020 to 2024
11:29
um in Turkey high school diploma. And I
11:32
said like June the 1st 2024 was when I
11:35
got my diploma. So yeah, this is this
11:37
part is done. Then they ask you about
11:39
like if you have been through a if you
11:42
passed a university exam, you can choose
11:44
yes or no. Like other than that, this
11:46
these are not mandatory. You can just
11:48
give them your information or not. Maybe
11:50
you didn't pass an exam. Then they ask
11:53
you if you've started or completed some
11:56
other training or course or something
11:58
like that other side of Germany. Um if
12:01
you of course after your uh secondary
12:03
school after high school you can choose
12:05
yes if you do you have to give them your
12:07
information or you can choose no. I
12:09
think that will be the case for uh
12:11
pretty much all of you. And then we have
12:12
student colleague questions. Uh so
12:14
basically if you went for that you can
12:17
get a lot of information. I'm pretty
12:18
sure there are a lot of videos uh on
12:21
YouTube about student colleague and then
12:23
the assessment exam. Uh here I'm going
12:26
to choose no for all of these. I haven't
12:28
been the student colleague. I obviously
12:30
didn't pass the test. So yeah, this part
12:33
is done. And we have one more question.
12:36
Have you started or completed a course
12:38
in Germany? You can choose yes.
12:40
Obviously, you would need to give them
12:42
information or you can choose no. Again,
12:44
I'm pretty sure for pretty much like 99%
12:47
of you this will be now. And yeah, I'm
12:49
going to click on save. So we are pretty
12:51
much done uh with as you can see the
12:54
general questions, all 11 of them. Now
12:56
we have 28 more for this university. So
12:59
this ask this is asking us where were we
13:02
enrolled in a university for ever first
13:05
first time ever. Uh and like if you have
13:08
never been at a university which is that
13:10
again don't go like go through all all
13:13
of this based on my answers. I'm using
13:16
translate because this is just a
13:18
demonstration. Uh if you know German do
13:21
like give your own answers. If you do
13:23
not uh get some help perhaps uh maybe
13:26
from someone that you know that knows in
13:29
knows German but the responsibility is
13:31
on you. Don't just use my answers. Okay,
13:34
this is just for demonstration. I am
13:36
enrolled in this university or I was I'm
13:39
going to say no to this one. I was
13:41
previously enrolled in this university
13:44
blah blah blah. I'm going to choose no
13:46
here. I am in a German university or I
13:49
was once in a German university. I'm
13:51
going to choose no. this one as well.
13:53
How many semesters in total have you
13:55
been in a German university? And this is
13:57
pretty much the same. I'm going to
13:58
choose zero for both. Basically, they
14:01
are trying to learn whether you've been
14:03
studying in Germany. That's most of the
14:05
questions. And this is for whether
14:07
you've been enrolled in a EU or one of
14:10
these countries uh school. I'm going to
14:12
choose no for that as well. This is
14:14
pretty much the same. How many years or
14:16
semesters have you been in university in
14:18
EU country other than Germany or these?
14:21
I'm going to choose zero for this. And
14:23
this asks you whether you have been ever
14:25
in enrolled in a university that is not
14:28
in Germany or EU or all of that. Uh like
14:32
for example in your own country. I'm
14:34
going to choose no. Uh since this is a
14:35
bachelor's program application. So these
14:37
questions are about like university
14:39
degrees. Have you ever had one in
14:42
Germany? No. Pretty much the same
14:45
question for other EU countries or these
14:48
guys. uh now so this is for basically
14:51
they called something called advanced
14:53
quota for secondderee programs there's a
14:55
whole other thing that if you want to
14:57
get information you have to look it up I
14:59
think this link is for that here I'm
15:01
going to choose no uh because that's a
15:03
whole other thing and this is pretty
15:04
much the same same question about like
15:07
other countries uh outside EU etc etc so
15:11
they're they're asking a bit
15:12
repetitively but yeah so we're done with
15:15
that okay so after this we have
15:17
confirmations basically Basically all of
15:19
the mandatory questions here are just
15:21
like yes uh in the sense that I
15:23
understand that I have to do this this
15:26
and this. I understand that my uh like
15:30
for example my documents for proof of
15:32
language should be correct etc etc. So
15:35
you can look up obviously you have to
15:37
read all of these by yourself. Uh so I'm
15:40
I'm just going to go confirming them all
15:42
by one by one. Uh because they're not
15:44
real like the real questions that I'm I
15:47
need to answer here. Every single one of
15:49
these is a very specific confirmation.
15:52
So you have to really read and
15:54
understand that. And then there are
15:56
currently technical problems loading the
15:58
additional application related
16:00
questions. Please try again later. Okay.
16:03
So we're going to do that. Uh but first
16:05
let's upload our documents. So here
16:07
basically as you can see we have
16:09
different categories and they want you
16:12
to uh upload a document for every single
16:15
one of these. So I'm going to do that uh
16:17
and I'm going to show it to you. Uh here
16:19
we click select here. I'm going to
16:21
choose a random document and choose a
16:24
category and then yeah as you can see it
16:28
is uploading that. So I'm going to do
16:29
that for every single one of them.
16:31
Obviously for you it has to be the right
16:33
document here. Here I'm just going to
16:35
upload something random. Okay. So I've
16:38
uploaded a random document for each one
16:41
of them. Of course you have to be very
16:43
careful that there are no issues and
16:45
your um documents are correct. So we're
16:48
done here. I'm going to go to my
16:50
selection and yeah so the whole
16:53
technical issue thing is gone. So as you
16:56
can see no unanswered mandatory
16:58
questions and as you can see we've
17:00
already uploaded all the documents that
17:02
we've needed. Other than that we have
17:04
€75 that we need to pay. Again this is
17:07
going to go like when we pay this this
17:09
is go this application is going to go
17:11
through to the university technically
17:13
University of Berlin and your
17:14
application will be done. So uh you
17:17
don't also have to pay anything to the
17:20
university. So let's choose payment
17:22
option. Let's choose credit card and
17:24
proceed to check out. So yeah you can
17:26
also read and uh confirm etc etc. And
17:30
then you have to give them your credit
17:31
card information of course which is
17:33
where I stop. But that's pretty much it.
17:35
This is the application procedure.
17:37
Again, we've made other tutorials about
17:39
other uh German universities as well. Uh
17:41
you can look those up. Some of them you
17:43
have to go through. Some of them there
17:45
are other ways to do that too. I hope
17:47
you found this informative. If you did,
17:49
please be sure to give us a like and
17:51
subscribe. We have a ton of more
17:53
informative videos about studying
17:55
abroad, about scholarships, and all of
17:57
that. We have a website as I showed you.
17:59
We have a ton of free information here,
18:01
guides, etc., etc., and a search tool to
18:04
find scholarships. We also have live
18:06
streams every Friday. So, if you have
18:07
any questions, you can come to our live
18:09
streams and ask your questions. Aemon
18:12
our expert is there with me to answer
18:14
your questions. And now we have
18:15
memberships too. So, if you are
18:17

18:21

18:28
in that, you can check out our
