all right so this is going to be a long one hi everyone um today we're going to see the application process of uh Osaka
0:07
University now a lot of this is done through like through internet that they
0:13
have a portal and then you have to send them your documents and so like maybe
0:18
you will not have a lot of time to go through your application if you don't have your documents ready uh but like I
0:24
will put this video on so like people can watch it for next semester the semer
0:30
after that and after that basically um so you can do what you can do is you can just go to uh go to Google and just like
0:37
Google Saka University or what you can do is go to our website Global scholarships.com and start your journey
0:44
from here with me um this is going to be a long one probably but I will uh put the time stamps down here so like you
0:51
can just uh you can just like look for whatever you need anyway so let's start
0:57
with typing down Osaka and then we have Osaka University here in
1:04
institutions so let's click this is the page that we have for Osaka University it's in Su Japan uh 20,000 student one
1:12
scholarship and you can get more information by clicking here on admissions Pages which we'll do in a
1:18
second we have the deadlines here as you can see the deadline like um deadlines
1:24
are kind of close but we'll see that in a second um and you have the tuition fees here about about $3,000 uh per year
1:33
right and then you have one scholarship International college scholarship it's a partial funding scholarship meaning it
1:39
gives you 80,000 Japanese Yen u a monthly stent and then we have the comment
1:45
section if you have any questions you can just leave them here y answers all of them so let's go to their admission
1:52
page right we can click here Bachelors which will take us to the
1:57
University's page this is for international students now they have different types of programs in here they
2:04
have degree programs so these are for um like this is for international students
2:10
these are for undergraduates and these are for graduates today we're going to see the undergraduate ones basically
2:16
they have three types of programs um degree programs in Japanese
2:22
degree programs in English uh which are which is like School of human Sciences human Sciences International
2:28
undergraduate degree program um and then undergraduate students degree programs in English and Japanese so if you want
2:35
to study any program in School of Science in this University um it's going to be both in English and Japanese they
2:43
kind of explained we'll see in a second but like it kind of starts in um English
2:50
and then you gradually uh like it gradually goes from English to Japanese you you have you have time to learn
2:57
Japanese and they like you learn Japanese at the school uh and then International undergraduate programming
3:03
science you can see like these two if you want uh but the process is kind of
3:10
similar so we're going to go with today uh with a school of science for degree
3:15
programs in English and Japanese because I kind of suspect that this is the one most of you will be interested in so
3:22
let's click on this School of Science and yeah so we have a lot of
3:28
information here um this is iups international undergraduate program in science top
3:35
news program overview uh so this is news if you're interested we have the program
3:41
overview uh you can look into this in more detail so basically yeah admission
3:46
in English so Academic Year we have uh like pre first year second year and
3:53
third and fourth year so we have the coursework for learning more Japanese so
3:58
education like we have terms and Education and Research Focus like what we you will study and the language so
4:05
basically in prey you get uh English and Japanese in the first year uh you get
4:11
coursework in Liberal Arts and major of choice uh so for Li liberal arts courses
4:17
again for human Sciences it's English but for different Majors like chemistry mathematics physics and biological
4:25
sciences you get like English Japanese blah blah blah blah blah and then at
4:31
second and third year you get specialized coursework in major of choice so basically Japanese a small
4:37
number of courses may be offered in English and then at the fourth year specialized coursework plus research
4:42
under the supervision of a Prof professor and yeah it's pretty much the same so this is how it goes like you
4:49
start at in English learning Japanese and then it becomes gradually more and
4:55
more Japanese and then you get your bachelor's degree and then we have graduate course work so they also have
5:01
information about um graduate school so departments for undergraduate
5:08
studies Department of Chemistry Department of Mathematics Department of physics and Department of biological
5:13
sciences we have the curriculum and time tables we have the fees and financial fees cost and financial support um we
5:21
have the application fee actually you know what uh let's
5:27
say to get have an idea about this one let's
5:33
say so application fee is about $170 and then we have enrollment fee
5:40
then we have um tuition fee enrollment fee blah blah blah sorry and then we have dormatory so
5:50
okay so monthly living costs for students are estimated to be like in the following all values should be taken as
5:56
a total for one month is estimated to be around 100,000 Japanese Yen so like if
6:02
you remember so it's about like $600 $700 and if you remember that
6:07
scholarship was giving you like that one scholarship that we had in Osaka University it gives you about $80,000 so
6:15
$8,000 Japanese Yen per month so it will take care of most of this so if you're
6:21
interested you might want to look at that we have dormitory um rent for a small private
6:28
apartment so let's see the dormatory so dormatory is still about like
6:34
$150 um basically like from the proximity to this we have financial
6:42
support scholarships from local governments or International associations scholarships from private
6:48
foundations so you can look look at that that too we have Campus Life blah blah
6:55
blah and then University clubs dorm tour and then how to apply and contact
7:01
information so you do your application in person or online
7:07
assessment and then Academic Year so basically that's it so contact
7:14
information yeah now um see the details on the admission page so let's go to
7:20
admission page right so this is the admission page that
7:27
we have Internet again iups it's a bachelor program conducted
7:34
partly in English and partly in Japanese for students who want to specialize in chemistry mathematics physics or
7:39
biological sciences the whole program usually requires 4.5 years for completion including a six-month
7:45
preliminary intensive study of the Japanese language application guideline
7:51
so we have application guideline for uh April 2026 we'll see that in a second um
7:58
but like this is not just for April 2026 because like it will pretty much be the
8:04
same uh for like a term before that a term after
8:09
that and after that after blah blah blah so like my I hope that this video will
8:16
be um still beneficial useful uh for years to come so we have registration
8:22
period application period and then no thises so let's click on this and see their application guide so application
8:29
guide is about like 20 Pages uh and they give you very very um detailed
8:36
information and I highly advise you to read like if you cannot really read 20
8:42
Pages for studying abroad then maybe going to Japan is not very is not a very
8:47
good idea so yeah so this is for April 2026 enrollment selection process is
8:53
pretty much the same for other programs as well um this is for again undergraduate program in science so we
9:01
have the program overview first um like outliner
9:06
program blah blah blah information duration of program student intake uh
9:12
following four departments we've seen this so we have eligibility of application a lot of you probably will
9:19
ask themselves am I eligible for this University like can I enter this University um I will actually try to put
9:26
this link in the description so you can just click on on that to see this one and come to eligibility for application
9:33
so they have hang on why am I doing this let's yeah this is closer this is better
9:39
eligibility uh so in order to apply for this program applicants must meet certain requirements set by the their
9:47
Ministry basically maxed um a lot of you might know maxed from the very popular
9:52
scholarship that they have so students meeting at least one of the following
9:58
criteria so at least least one um so like they give you about 12 criteria if
10:05
you meet at least one Criterion uh then you can apply for this uh school and I
10:11
think a lot of you will be in this first one which is I like what I am in international applicants students from
10:18
outside of Japan who have completed a standard 12E school education curriculum
10:23
of a country other than Japan included here are applicants who have completed a standard 12E school education curriculum
10:30
in a country outside Japan in less than 12 years as a result of being promoted up a grade ahead of their peers so for
10:38
example in Turkey um when you finish High School you have um studied for a standard 12
10:45
year um grade curriculum so like for example this would be the Criterion I
10:51
would be in um I'm pretty sure a lot of you will be also in this um but if
10:57
you're not you can just read the other ones like two three I'm not going to go through all of them to make this video a
11:04
little bit shorter um you can see just being in one of them is uh is
11:11
enough so you don't have to look for more than one so we have the notes Here
11:16
applicants who have completed their studies at a non accredit International School in Japan blah blah blah I can
11:22
read into these and then we have application procedure which is the most important part here
11:30
first of all applicants should visit following application registration website to complete their registration
11:35
that like takes five five minutes it is very simple you don't give them a lot of
11:41
your information because after completing the registration applicants should pay the
11:46
application fee by pressing continue to pay button for more details blah blah blah after completing the payment of the
11:52
application fee applicants will receive an automated reply email containing a URL for downloading the application form
12:00
and a mailing address for the application documents so basically we go here to this to this page we create our
12:07
account reg we register uh we use our like we use an email address and then we
12:13
pay again we pay about like $150 which I will not do here obviously
12:19
um and then then they give us like an address and like more information um
12:26
about where to send our documents and then we applicants should fill out
12:32
the application form and send it with the other required application documents we'll see those required application
12:37
documents in a second to the mailing address provided by the automatic reply email after completing the payment of
12:43
application B so uh they give us an address and they give us an application form we fill that form and after that we
12:51
send our application documents with that form physically
12:57
unfortunately it is 2020 like it is 2026 I think it you should be able to send
13:03
those through email or in any digital way but no you have to send them through
13:09
through mail like actual mail like for like through DHL or something the application documents must be sent by a
13:16
registrate mail regist registered Mailing Service such as EMS FedEx DHL UPS Etc we cannot take responsibility
13:23
blah blah blah so we have the registration period and application period here so basically um like if you
13:30
are watching this just after it is like it is posted I hope you have your
13:36
application documents at already because you like your application should reach
13:42
them before these um deadlines so we have the application
13:48
documents we'll see those in a second we have application form
13:55
documents certifying eligibility for application letters of recommendation results of
14:01
standardized tests for University admission essay application fee payment certificate a copy of the applicant's
14:08
passport certification of English language proficiency if applicable which
14:13
it will be if you are applying for this like for uh the School of Science
14:19
certification of Japanese language proficiency and other relevant materials all sort blah blah blah anyway
14:26
so so the first application document is again um
14:33
the hang on yeah sorry application form yeah application form so you get the
14:39
application form after paying the application fee uh through this link which will see application document two
14:46
is eligibility of application again remember seeing those criteria like 12 criteria so whichever you are in
14:54
depending on that you send them um like for example certificate of certificate of graduation from the
15:01
last school attendant or a corresponding certificate or scheduled gradu so
15:07
basically like your high school diploma if you're if you have uh graduated from
15:12
high school after 12 years of education your high school diploma you can read um
15:19
the certifying like Certificate of Eligibility um criteria here like for
15:26
different ones you have different um CER
15:31
ification academic transcript from the last school attended in case that yeah
15:37
so you you get the idea so basically um a certificate showing them that you
15:44
have had in fact your uh like 12E standard education or whatever their
15:49
other criteria are um important notes when preparing
15:54
the application documents applicants who have not yet graduated from high school at the time of application May submit a
16:00
certificate of expected graduation and predicted scores for the academic transcript and then we have application
16:06
document three letters of recommendation applicants must have at least one letter of recommendation submitted from the
16:13
principal and or a senior science teacher or the last secondary school
16:18
they attended a science teacher who knows the applicant well is preferable so
16:25
yeah after that we have application document four results of standardized test so these
16:32
are different for different departments for biological sciences uh
16:38
we have something called EU or eju um Examination for Japanese
16:44
University admission for international students that's basically something like tofl or uh any like sat or something um
16:54
you can just Google this to get more information which is what I did basically
17:02
so um it is like it is done in different countries and different regions at
17:07
different times um not that much of an information here
17:14
though so maybe yeah let's look at
17:23
this is an examination for international students wishing to enroll and study a Japanese universities blah blah blah so
17:31
yeah like it is done in different countries different regions click here to search for schools
17:38
that you use and yeah we have locations in Japan 13 countries and regions
17:44
outside of Japan including 17 17 cities uh so any one of these will
17:52
do so this is this is what they accept for biological sciences mathematics um
18:00
it could be this one the same or International Balor applicants choosing IB must submit
18:07
the scores of all subjects they took which must include mathematics HL physics HL and uh chemistry these are
18:15
high level I believe and then GCE yeah for Department of Chemistry you
18:22
can you can see these for yourself so yeah basically different departments
18:29
um so like different eligibility criteria H have different um
18:35
certifications and different departments have different um standardized tests
18:40
basically which is what you would expect and [Music]
18:46
then Department of Physics Department of
18:52
Chemistry oh sorry this is the two note that we accept score from blah
18:58
blah blah so example of specific standardized test scores by the
19:05
country so like China national college entrance exam I can read that and application
19:12
document five is an essay applicant should submit an essay on the following topic why you wish to study what do you
19:19
wish to study uh in the international undergraduate program science I say should be approximately 500 to 10 a
19:28
th000 b words in written in English essays of less than 500 words or handwritten instead of type may be
19:34
rejected in screening application document six fee
19:40
payment so when you pay the application fee they give you the of course they give you a
19:46
certificate something like um would you say a certificate application document
19:53
7 copy of applicant's passport for like OB
19:59
reasons document eight so now we have a certification of English language
20:05
proficiency applicants whose native language is English or who have graduated or and are expect or are
20:12
expecting to graduate from high school and which English is the language of instruction do not need to submit any
20:18
English proficiency examination score so yeah we have Tel IB IBT
20:24
[Music] Edition um I think this is it so ilts
20:30
academic module indicator you can read these you should read these in more detail I'm not going to like I don't
20:37
want this video to be like an hour long so I mean this this will all be in uh
20:43
like in the link in the description application document nine certification of Japanese language proficiency unless
20:50
their first language is Japanese applicants must send either of the documents below a copy copy of their
20:57
certificate of Japanese language proficiency test level N3 a document
21:02
certif certifying that the applicant has a Japanese language ability equivalent to or higher than and three the document
21:10
should be prepared by the principal or a Japanese language teacher of an educational institution so if you are in
21:17
a school where give like that gives
21:23
education like Japanese lessons I guess this like then this could be something that you you do otherwise you're going
21:29
to go and see for like look for Japanese language proficiency test and we can also Google that
21:38
too so Department of biological sciences has like normally they have
21:46
higher uh why are these all Turkish you don't know I'm in Turkey
21:54
anyway so you can get more information through here
22:01
how to do it like how to get take it um taking test overseas you can click on
22:07
this one and you can just choose your um
22:12
region let's say I think it's am I in Middle East or let's see Middle East is
22:19
turkey here yeah Anar University Turkish and foreign language application and research center you can take it here and
22:28
and yeah so there as you can see there are a lot of places a lot of countries not not that
22:37
numerous uh inside the countries though like maybe you'll have to go to another city to take
22:46
this yeah um application document 10 other relevant materials applicants are
22:51
welcome to submit additional materials that support their application such as published articles certifications of
22:58
achievement or participation in internships summer school ET certifications must be submitted for any
23:04
achievements mentioned in the essay see applic blah blah blah okay so seven
23:09
application registration and application fee payment which we'll do in a
23:15
second prepare a computer and a printer connected to the internet make sure you have that
23:22
application registration okay we'll see that in a second application fee is here payment
23:27
period is here um application fees are not refundable except in following cases
23:35
which is like did not submit like if there is only if there's like a uh like
23:42
something going wrong with the application they refund you other than that no um there are four payment methods
23:50
that the application fee payment system can accept a credit card which would be
23:55
I guess the basic method ATM or post offices or Banks like they accept like
24:00
for credit cards they accept Visa or M Master Card internet banking or
24:05
convenience store I didn't this is the first time I've I see something like this um so they explain it in more
24:14
detail so basically only available that's only available in Japan though like 7eleven etc
24:21
etc uh you can use any one of these I think like credit card Visa or Master
24:27
would be or maricon expert perhaps maybe the easiest ones to come
24:32
by printing the receipt of application fee payment um
24:39
yeah blah blah blah important notes for applicants if errors are found in the
24:45
application documents the application will not be accepted moreover chances changes to the application documents
24:50
after submission are not allowed submitted documents will be will not be returned applicants who have provided
24:57
false information on their app documents will not be allowed to enroll and will be expelled if they have already
25:03
accepted and then we have applicant selection so if Osaka University considered that
25:11
an iners or online assessment is required for an applicant an assessment will be held for the application as
25:17
follows so assessment period so like for in person they have location or and that
25:24
content of course if you're outside of Japan they will probably want to do uh
25:29
an online assessment but do be careful about the content though basic scientific
25:36
knowledge assessment and a basic Japanese language assessment language to be used in the
25:41
scientific assessment and subjects the assessment will be as follows so these are the
25:50
ones okay announcement of successful applicants preliminary blah blah blah
25:59
International students who have decided to study at Osaka University must obtain a student visa at a Japanese Embassy or
26:05
Consulate General of Japan before coming to Japan again economic support this is
26:10
something that we' read about accommodation support pretty much the
26:16
same so this say is 19,000 Japanese Yen
26:30
this says 20 okay 25,000 so this includes bills for electricity water gas
26:37
and internet connection that may be the reason of the difference and then we have uh useful
26:46
links which is pretty much like this takes us pretty much to the same page that we've seen so at this point what
26:53
we're going to do is we're going to scroll up
27:01
up so application registration and application fee payment seven section
27:08
seven applicants should visit the following website for application registration let's click on this one
27:14
we'll do a register here it it is very simple it won't take
27:19
long um let's let's do this so let's say it is for international undergraduate
27:27
program inside it's pretty much the same if you want to do the other one human Sciences remember that this is in
27:33
English um you don't need J you don't need Japanese for this one I selected this
27:40
one important notes uh visit the application registration website and complete your registration by this time
27:47
upon application registration and application fee payment applicants will receive an automatic reply but by the
27:53
way I'm doing this only because it's an automatic reply otherwise wouldn't want
27:58
to uh waste their time that's not a very considerate thing to do post the required blah blah blah so
28:07
okay so let's just type in some random
28:13
stuff right um Robert Le um so you can fill in
28:23
these uh I'm just going to fill in the necessary ones let's say um April the
28:28
1st 20 okay 2006 sounds fine uh
28:33
mail nationality select h on can
28:39
I okay wait what um I'll just say Turkish then
28:50
fine from the list okay so all right address just say random
28:59
Street random City whatever postal code let's
29:05
just phone number uh all right sure let's send
29:13
this so um for this one I've have created a uh temporary mail like a
29:19
throwaway mail I'll use that for this one now again this is only because it's
29:26
just an automated mail so ites doesn't waste anybody's time so let's say send
29:32
test mail to make sure that it's actually working and now I can see that in my um
29:40
in my inbox and let's click on received a test
29:46
mail okay so they're going to do like they're going to make us type in the email they
29:52
cannot you cannot copy paste this here and and 5 6 8 9
30:07
2 come I think it's the same right I hope I didn't mess that up
30:13
Primacy policy right and then I think we are ready okay all right
30:22
next okay so now we are in the payment
30:27
set ction payment of application fee or credit card it is 28,000 convenience
30:33
store convenience store let's say click on apply and then we have our receipt
30:41
number so let's let's uh like type this
30:47
somewhere uh so that we have yeah make a note of the receipt number above for
30:52
safe safekeeping it's very important and then continue to pay yeah I I'm done
30:58
that okay so you can just choose any one of these I'm going to go with uh credit card
31:05
payment and let's say credit card here so yeah we are the page at the page
31:12
where we have to put in our like payment information which I'm going to I'm not going to do obviously so what do we do
31:18
here is we give them our like payment information so this 208,000 Japanese Yen
31:25
again which is about like
31:32
did it change in that like five like 10 minutes
31:38
no I don't think so okay it's about like 20 28,000 Japanese Yen which is about
31:44
like um $180 so we paid that after that they
31:49
sent us an email and in that email we have the application form and we have
31:55
the address so we fill out the application form and then we gather all
32:01
these um application documents that we've went through like application
32:06
document nine like we have about 10 of them including um the application form
32:13
and then we put that in mail and send them uh through email so sorry send them
32:21
through mail and let me see if I can find um the hang on
32:29
yeah so something like like EMS FedEx DHL ups and then we send those like all
32:38
of that uh application documents to the university and then to the address that
32:44
they give us in that email and that's pretty much it that's when your
32:50
application finishes um I wish it was completely done on on the internet so I
32:56
could show all of that to to you uh but but unfortunately this is how the university does it and so yeah this is
33:04
where I have to finish the tutorial anyway I hope this was informative for you if you have any questions just type
33:11
them um in the comment section other than that if you have any questions we do live streams every Friday on both
