I think we're live. Hi everyone, it's Global Scholarships and I'm your host AZ. I hope you're all
0:13
doing well. I hope everything is great and we are here with another live stream, another Friday, another live
0:19
stream. We're doing it with a like a half an hour uh delay. Sorry about that.
0:24
Apparently there was this small wildfire around where I live. So just just before
0:30
the live stream they cut off our um electricity as kind of like a safety
0:35
measure so I couldn't uh come in for the live stream but we are back now. I don't
0:41
think there are any more issues. So yeah as always we are here uh we are global
0:48
scholarships if you're new here. Uh but first I'm sorry I am as always here joined by Aean. Hi Aean. How are you?
0:54
How are things going? Uh hi Al. I'm doing well thank you. How are you? I'm
0:59
doing fine too. Thank you very much. So everyone uh if you're new here, we are global scholarships.com.
1:06
Basically, we are platform that shares uh informative stuff about scholarships,
1:11
about finding scholarships, about studying abroad. Uh um that that type of
1:16
thing. And maybe you've seen our YouTube channel. We share uh like we make videos. We also have a website. Uh this
1:24
is the this is actually the website that our um that our kind of like videos and
1:31
etc. Like our YouTube channel is kind of based on. I use this website to create
1:36
content all the time because we have here a ton of information that is extremely easily accessible about
1:43
scholarships. As you can see there is no like pricing. There is no create an account or something like that. You
1:48
don't have to do any of that uh to be able to use our website. Here we have uh
1:53
guides about scholarships. Um as you can see we have guides about countries for example. Uh this is a this is like a
2:01
great way to get as much information um about studying in another country in a
2:06
specific country uh that you could get. Hang on. Okay. So for example, if you have any
2:14
country in mind like Japan, South Korea, you can just click on any one of these and then like we have a basically what
2:22
is a collection of um like different guides about different
2:28
things in the country. for example, higher education like uh the pros and cons pros and cons of the um education
2:36
system in that country, how to choose a university, uh for example, English taught universities in different
2:41
countries, that's something that you a lot of you are really interested in, uh best programs,
2:48
uh how to apply to university, um like documents, tests, um and then of
2:54
course language proficiency because there are different kinds of uh language proficiency in different countries. Uh
3:00
for example, in Korea, uh we have something called a topic uh which is test of proficiency in Korean. So if you
3:07
if you take this test and get really high scores, uh you can get some uh
3:13
discounts in a lot of um universities etc. So yeah, country guides are great. uh like
3:20
that's basically where you can get like can find all the information you would need about a country uh in a just like
3:27
one page basically. So other than that we have uh guides about scholarships,
3:33
guides about cheap and free universities. Uh for example, if you're interested in cheap universities in
3:39
Canada, in USA, English taught universities, that's another thing we are making videos for. Um there are a
3:45
lot of universities around the world uh that you can get your education uh your courses in English. Um, a lot of people
3:53
like for example there are a lot in Germany. Some people are asking uh how can I go and study in Germany without
3:59
knowing any German? Is it possible to just like get my entire uh for example bachelor's degree in um English? And
4:08
there are some schools in pretty much every country that that is possible. And if you're interested in those uh you can
4:14
just click here and see basically for example in Germany uh where you can get that. So yeah, other than that we have
4:22
language uh cost of studying which is something that oddly you're not all that
4:28
interested in. Those videos are not as popular as other ones even though it's a really important information. Uh we have
4:35
popular government scholarships for example you can click here and see our collection of like 15 best government
4:41
scholarships. You can click on any one of these. Um
4:46
for for example uh there are some very popular ones like DAD Cheving uh Global
4:52
Korea and MEX and there are some lesserk known ones like China uh like AEL
4:58
excellence for example uh New Zealand government scholarship. So
5:05
yeah you might be interested in those. Uh and then of course we have our search
5:11
tool. Uh this is a completely free and easy tool to find um scholarships.
5:19
Basically we have a scholarship database uh which has about 4,500
5:28
4,500 uh scholarships. Basically these are scholarships that are given by universities to uh newcoming
5:35
international students. So for example, this is in UN Western Carolina
5:41
University, right? Uh and basically if you go to that university, you'll see
5:46
they have about how many scholarships? Five scholarships. So uh these five
5:53
scholarships are the scholarships that are given by this university to newcoming u international students. Some
5:59
universities have scholarships that are given to uh already enrolled students. Some scholarships are kind of reserved
6:06
for domestic students. And of course for every university you
6:12
there are scholarships that you can get um from other institutions uh like
6:17
external scholarships for example uh our scholarship $3,000 uh global
6:22
scholarships.com scholarship. Of course there are government scholarships and there are other scholarships as well but
6:29
mainly in our database these are university scholarships. You can change those two. I can choose government or
6:36
external here. But most of these like 4,000 uh scholarships are uh university
6:42
scholarships. Of course, you can filter here uh by kind of degrees uh bachelor,
6:48
masters, and PhD by location if you have any country in mind. uh funding type. If
6:55
you do not know what funding type means in this context, uh partial funding means it's it covers less than the
7:02
tuition fee. Full tuition means it covers the entirety of tuition fee and then full funding means uh it covers
7:08
tuition fees and then gives you something a little bit more like could be a stipent, could be accommodation,
7:14
could be insurance. Some scholarships are extremely comprehensive. Uh they even give you like allowances for
7:21
certain things like a laptop allowance uh maybe research allowance etc. So
7:27
yeah, uh fault finding obviously is the best one to find. Uh but kind of uh just
7:34
because of that they're they're very difficult to get and not there are not
7:40
that many because like you could see how giving a full funding scholarship is way more expensive for a university to uh
7:48
give than uh a partial funding. We have scholarship deadline.
7:53
scholarship deadline filter is a bit problematic right now. I don't I'm not sure why that's a that's something that
8:01
we are working on. So there are more scholarships that like more than seven
8:07
just seven scholarships that are open for bachelors right now. Um
8:13
if you choose all deadlines uh you can see for example we have 2,700 scholarships for bachelors
8:20
for subjects and nationalities. Nationalities usually do not really matter all that much. Uh some
8:27
scholarships are bas like specifically targeted to uh specific regions
8:33
sometimes or maybe they are given to like people who are seeking asylum like
8:39
like displaced people. Uh there are a lot of scholarships like that in United Kingdom. Other than those, usually um
8:46
pretty much every scholarship in here is like all nationalities.
8:51
Um in fact, let's choose um all degrees, right? So, we have about 4,500 for uh Hi
9:00
there, Daniel. Uh welcome to the live stream. It's great to see you here. Uh if you have any questions at any point,
9:06
just feel free to ask them uh in the chat. So for example, let me choose um so in
9:14
total we have like 4,500, right? Let me choose my nationality which is Turkish
9:20
and you'll see we lose about 300. Uh so yeah, most scholarships are um open to
9:27
pretty much every nation of the Kirka. Uh it's great to see you again here as always. Uh welcome to our live stream.
9:34
We started off a little uh late today because basically there was a power outage uh
9:41
that so I couldn't come in uh in time. So what was I saying? Yeah, usually they
9:49
like nationality does not really matter. Uh subject also usually does not matter.
9:55
Um basically a lot of these are all subjects. But again as you can see from
10:01
that note uh that all subjects in this context means all subjects that are
10:06
offered by this university. So uh University of Texas at Austin. So this
10:12
scholarship is for all subjects. It doesn't mean that it is for every single
10:17
subject you can imagine. Uh no it means that if this university offers a certain
10:23
subject uh you can apply to this scholarship through that subject. That's what it means. So if you like if you're
10:29
interested in a scholarship and it says all subjects, you can just go to that university's page and basically uh look
10:37
for what programs they are offering which you can very easily go and do
10:44
through our uh website. So again I've seen a scholarship that I'm kind of
10:51
interested in. What do I do? You click on any scholarship uh for example a
10:57
graduate assistantship in home study university in Sweden uh it's a full funding so you click on that and you see
11:04
our page for that scholarship basically we have like a kind of brief summary here level of study this is for masters
11:10
and PhD at this university you can by the way click on the university to go and see our page for that university and
11:18
see like where it is how many students are there uh what other scholarships. There are uh deadlines, tuitions. This
11:26
is about like I think what is it like 9,000 to 14 $15,000 or something like
11:32
that I think. Uh so what scholarships they have and at any page that we have
11:37
right any page that we have in our website uh you can leave your questions
11:42
in the comment section and Hani who is the founder of global scholarships as you can see answers every single
11:50
question here. Uh basically there are no questions that I have ever seen here
11:56
going unanswered and you don't even have to create an account or anything like that. You can just type your question
12:02
here blah blah blah and then post comment and he answers. I'm not sure how he finds time. Anyway, so back to the
12:09
scholarship nationalities uh eligible subjects uh full funding. I talked about that full
12:15
funding means it gives you um tuition coverage and then gives you something more. We have deadline here
12:24
for example. Usually it is uh a little bit more clearer than this like the coverage like the one university gives
12:30
you. For example, Micole McBain scholarship in McKill University, right?
12:36
As you can see, normally it's like this tuition fees, a monthly living stipend of 2,300, a one-time relocation grant,
12:44
and $5,000 for recipients not pursing a summer academic term to pursue
12:50
meaningful activities. Uh, usually like this is kind of uh the information we
12:55
can get. Some universities for example the scholarship we're going to see today uh in Germany it it is also pretty much
13:02
the same uh they don't really give you an exact number so we cannot give you an
13:08
exact number uh but usually scholarships are like this basically it covers this this and this so we have the coverage
13:15
here we have the criteria um again for a lot of universities it
13:21
just you have to be admitted to that university and you can apply We have the application procedure uh we
13:28
have the deadlines and again if you have any questions you can leave them here.
13:33
So yeah this is how our search tool works. Again there's a slight hiccup uh
13:39
temporary issue on the deadline filter. Other than that it's a great tool. Like
13:44
I've been making uh I guess like five six videos every week for like the last
13:51
year and I'm not an expert in this matter. Uh Aean is the expert. Uh Han is
13:57
the expert there like Aean is here with me and basically I can just use this uh
14:04
website use this search tool to find scholarships to make content on. So,
14:09
it's a very very uh easy to use and completely free tool. Uh so, if you're
14:15
interested in finding scholarships, I highly doubt it. I highly advise it. Um
14:21
other than that, there's one more thing, let me show you. We have something called scholarship stories. Basically
14:28
these are stories that we got from people who have earned really good scholarships like Australia award
14:34
scholarship fullbrite maxed um Arasmus Mundus Cheving global career scholarship
14:40
DAD uh yeah so if you can click here you'll see we have a lot of stories here
14:47
and you can filter for a specific country uh for example as you can see we have like 22 in Australia six in Austria
14:56
um etc we have a lot Actually, I didn't know we have this many stories. Um, so
15:03
basically, you can click on any one of these people and you can read about their story. Uh, that is like we've
15:10
reached out to them and had have had them uh tell their stories about
15:15
scholarship, how they got the scholarship, like their details, what was their educational background before
15:20
they got that scholarship, how they prepare, uh like what test did they take? But I think like the one of the
15:28
most important part uh important things are uh like how did you prepare to apply
15:34
but also uh what do you think made your application stand out and like what advice would you give? So uh the these
15:42
are really important if you want to get a popular scholarship like for example
15:48
there are some scholarships that are not extremely popular but also really still really good. uh but also there are some
15:55
scholarships like for example government scholarships that are uh very popular hundreds and thousands of people are
16:02
applying every year. So if you want to get those scholarships uh you have to I
16:08
mean clearly you have to stand out make your application stand out. So I think
16:13
getting insights from people who had earned those scholarships I think is extremely important for those like big
16:20
uh name scholarships. Okay. Okay. Kirk says, "Hello sir, University of Hong Kong for Indians HQ fullright
16:27
scholarship HKU fullright scholarship and enter scholarship. What is the
16:33
difference between police?" So I think I know what scholarships you mean. Um
16:41
so these are basically kind of the only uh scholarships that are open right now. Hang on.
16:49
City. Yeah. Right. So we have two scholarships that
16:56
are open right now in this university. Um
17:05
so are you full scholarship and entrance scholarship? So this is the entrance
17:10
scholarship. Uh I think yeah the other one is full uh
17:17
foundation scholarship. Do you mean kuriku the difference between a foundation scholarship and an entrance
17:23
scholarship or enter scholarship and enter scholarship for students with Indian board examinations? Because you
17:29
mentioned um yeah scholarship for Indians. So let's
17:35
see these scholarships. Uh this is full tion entrance is full tion. The foundation scholarship is um full
17:42
funding. Basically, this is uh like one of the best scholarships that is open right now. Uh because there are not that
17:49
many full funding scholarships that are open for application at this moment. Uh
17:55
we made a video about this like a like a month ago and I do want to spread more
18:02
awareness about this scholarship but I don't want also don't want to make a video like every other week about the
18:08
same stuff. So this is a full funding scholarship. Uh this is for bachelors. Uh August 22
18:16
is the deadline and it covers pretty much everything like uh tuition fees, accommodation fees, a living statement,
18:22
an enrichment scholarship, all of that which is why it's full funding and just
18:28
you have to have outstanding grades. Um you can click here to get more information. Uh we've made a video about
18:35
that like this scholarship earlier. Let's see if we can get information.
18:45
So, yeah, I remember now. Um, the university gives you information in
18:52
a kind of like a little odd way, but I think it's really useful. So instead of
18:57
just like giving you like listing all the scholarships, you choose uh you're a non-local student and as qualification
19:04
let's say international qualification and then let's say faculty of um
19:10
engineering perhaps and then click on view all programs. So uh they show you
19:18
launch four-year full-time bachelor of medicine and bachelor's surgery track
19:23
for degree holders. Okay. So,
19:29
wait, hang on. What just happened? Oh, no. Okay.
19:35
All right. Sorry. These are the ones like they have about 24 uh scholarships that that we might be eligible for.
19:41
Sorry, 14 right now. Uh you can click on any one of these to get more information. All right. Scholarship they
19:48
mentioned this year only.
19:54
Uh hang on let me see uh foundation one I think
20:05
or
20:13
so this is the one uh that is full right full full funding HQ HQ foundation
20:20
scholarship um covers tuition accommodation legal allowances, enrichment scholarship.
20:27
Um, they have also entrance scholarship basically pretty much the same except it
20:32
covers tuition fees and like you have a little different of a criteria.
20:40
I don't I'm not sure I understood uh what you mean. They mentioned this year only Aemon uh but do you understand it?
20:48
question.
20:54
No, I mean does the website itself say that it's only this year because I don't see it
21:03
cheap. And which one says that?
21:09
Um they say the full ride one but uh this one
21:15
certainly does not say that CBSE
21:21
[Music] uh I think this one
21:27
undergraduate programs who demonstrate exceptional performance in the uh education examinations along with okay
21:33
will be eligible for a scholarship optimum uh living application candidates will Surely nominated for selection
21:40
companies consideration on a rolling basis I don't think uh can you give us more
21:47
information about where you get like where you've seen that uh Kuraku hi
21:52
there James hey as I'm getting full tuition scholarship at University of Grenoval that's great that's great Alps
21:59
means I'll be charged same as French students uh that is really good to hear I'm having uh problems with proof of
22:06
funds can you help advice Nice. Uh, what specific part of proof of funds? Uh, are
22:13
you having a problem? I mean, I'm going to I'm going to turn to Aean right now, but I think he also would ask uh like a
22:21
bit more detail. Aean h, do you want to say anything? Um, I think they just have an issue with
22:28
the Yeah. So, for the visa, you need €7,500,
22:33
I believe, as proof of funds for uh to study in France.
22:40
Um, but I think generally you just I mean, do
22:47
you have like sponsors as well? Do you have an issue with that or do you have that covered? because they generally ask
22:53
for um two people like to to be uh sponsors
23:01
slash uh as a guarantee. So, one of them has
23:06
to be in your country and the other has to be in France. That's how it usually works. But I'm not where I'm not sure
23:13
where you're from. Maybe it applies to some countries but not others. Um
23:20
but generally
23:26
yeah so you you would need both. You would need uh people to uh well they I think
23:36
uh in French they're called gon but I'm not sure what the word in English translates to. Um
23:46
um basically they need to to guarantee that uh in case you can't afford your
23:52
stay, they they would be in charge of it. Um and you need 7,500. Yeah. So, I
24:00
don't think there is a way around the sponsor part, but for the
24:07
uh for the money, I'm not sure if you have the ability to borrow that or
24:15
uh you could look for scholarships um that are external. Uh I don't think
24:23
that there are scholarships offered by uh the French universities themselves
24:29
because well the education is uh quite cheap. I think that the 7,500 is
24:37
just for your living and I don't see many universities in France offering any scholarships for
24:44
uh your living costs. So I would try to look for
24:50
external scholarships um offered
24:56
for or to study in France that that's where I would start. Uh I think you can find for uh
25:04
bachelors. I think there are many uh scholarships that are offered to
25:11
bachelors, masters or PhD. So that wouldn't be the issue. But the issue is
25:16
that I think from the moment you're accepted, you're given a certain or a
25:22
limited period of time to um get your visa and to show that you
25:30
have the money. So that that's the issue. I'm not sure if you can get it within that limited limited time. Um
25:37
because I have seen some students who who got who got into universities and
25:44
they had like 15 days um
25:49
for everything. So I'm not sure how much time you have but it could be very very
25:54
a small window to look for scholarships.
26:01
Okay. Thank you. Uh I have ample amount of time right now like a month. So
26:06
please advise um I think like uh can you give any advice
26:13
about how to go about finding a sponsorship or finding a scholarship?
26:21
Amen. Uh they have said they have like a month or something.
26:27
Yeah. Okay. Well, that's what I'm saying is that even a month is not usually enough to find scholarships because
26:33
scholarships have deadlines and then you have to wait for the deadline and then you'll have to wait for the time of
26:39
processing the applications and usually that takes a lot of time. So, it's
26:45
usually you need uh to plan that ahead of time uh before applying to
26:51
universities. Uh and that's what I was getting. I'm not sure if you can find scholarships
26:58
that would be within this time frame. Even if the deadline is tomorrow,
27:04
uh the results of the scholarships would be announced uh like in about two months later. So
27:13
that that's the issue here is that it's it's time. Yeah. So I'm I'm not sure how you can
27:22
really go around this issue. Okay. Thank you. Uh Kush Borathy says uh
27:30
any scholarship opportunities for a 12 pass student um in commerce field. So
27:37
what you can do is you can just like go and use our search tool for uh bachelors
27:44
basically. Um I think you are asking for advice right not um
27:52
not like scholarship for 12th degree.
27:58
Uh so 12th grade sorry uh so yeah these are
28:04
for bachelors basically as you can see we have a lot um the when it comes to
28:09
the field commerce field uh you can choose subject here um if you want for
28:15
example this one but keep in mind that like uh you'll have about 2,300
28:20
scholarships and the first uh couple one uh well actually a lot uh are the ones
28:27
that specifically typically mentions commerce. So, sorry.
28:33
Uh but at some point you'll see like all subjects that this means uh all subjects that offer that um program uh sorry all
28:42
subjects that is offered by the university. For example, if you want to
28:48
get uh let's say let's say free tuition in technical
28:53
university of Berlin, right? Um you can click on here and see about the uh scholarship. Uh but you also need to
29:00
make sure that the university offers that program uh so you can apply to this
29:06
uh to this scholarship. I'm going to share the link with you.
29:13
Uh and if you're looking for scholar scholarships that you can uh apply right now. Unfortunately, our currently open
29:20
filter uh has some issues. Uh but I think it'll be fixed soon. Uh you can
29:26
also filter for uh like deadline too. James Bond says I can defer if there is
29:32
any scholarship then please let me know. Um
29:38
I guess okay. I'm not sure that's kind of like that's Amone's
29:44
uh part and I think uh he doesn't have a lot to add on that subject. Aan, do you
29:51
have anything to add? Um yeah, I'm not sure
29:57
what scholarships you can pursue. This is the the research part that you have to do really.
30:03
um you'll have to look for scholarships that are offered in France to
30:09
international students and just go from there. Um right, most
30:17
of the big scholarships that are for masters when it comes to this like the
30:23
ones offered in France that I know of. So, usually the only way is to actually
30:31
have the funds uh once you're accepted. Uh so,
30:40
I'm not sure how to go about it if you don't have the funds. I have never uh
30:48
met students who apply to universities in France but couldn't uh afford the
30:55
7,500 uh euros that they require for the visa.
31:00
So yeah, I really am not sure, but you'll have to just uh research
31:06
scholarships uh external scholarships that cover um living costs and that are
31:13
offered in France for bachelor students. Okay, thank you. Amen. Uh so Zen Sargo
31:24
says, "Hi, I'm from an African country and wondering about um medical
31:29
scholarships in South Korea." So let me share the link with you. Uh you can just see what scholarships that we have here.
31:37
Uh basically again the first ones these are the ones that like um
31:43
mentioned the uh medicine specifically but then we have all subjects here like
31:49
scholarships that uh says all subjects uh and like you have to look up whether
31:55
that university specifically has a medicine program. So yeah. Um do you
32:02
have anything specific to say about um like scholarships for like med medicine
32:09
medical school in South Korea? Uh Aean like maybe there's something that is
32:15
peculiar to that subject and the country or maybe you have a like an insight that
32:20
you want to share. Um not that I know of really. So my
32:27
assumption is that um whatever apply to other scholarships
32:32
would apply to scholarship that are offered to medical students. Um I'm not sure though about the
32:40
language of instruction when it comes to the medical field in South Korea whether it's going to be English or
32:47
uh it would be mandatory in Korean. So that part I really am not sure about but
32:55
you'll have to look into that before um applying to any uh medical degree or
33:02
courses or scholarships um because that would be really important unless you can speak Korean or
33:09
maybe you're open to learning it uh before applying then that's another matter.
33:16
Okay. Thank you very much. So sorry, did you have something else to say?
33:22
Uh no. Okay. Uh so Ham Pen Penguin uh
33:27
tell me uh when high school or after results uh
33:33
they do have their own deadlines. So it kind of depends
33:38
uh like you can look up the deadlines from the page that I've given you. Tell
33:44
me the details of Stanford University scholarship for bachelors. Now Stanford has one scholarship uh that is for
33:51
bachelors that is given to that's given by the university. Obviously there are other scholarships as well. Uh but this
33:58
one is financial aid and financial aid is basically kind of uh like kind of
34:04
like an umbrella name for uh financial like like scholarships that are given by
34:10
a lot of American universities. Basically these are kind of these kind of depend on your
34:17
uh monetary needs like financial needs. uh what happens is you give them
34:23
information about your family specific like financial situation like uh like
34:30
tax information how much they earn etc etc and then the university American universities they do uh estimate your
34:38
family's contribution right and they say okay for to be able to study in Stanford
34:44
you will need about let's say I don't know $60,000 uh a year and we estimate from the
34:50
information you give us that your family can contribute let's say 30 and if you
34:56
get this scholarship um basically the university says okay
35:02
your family uh contributes 30 and we'll cover the rest of it sometimes it
35:07
doesn't like it's not 100% uh so you would have to look it up
35:13
specifically for example let's click on here and see again by the way if you
35:19
have any questions, you can just leave them here. How much do I need by 12th grade um for Stanford University? I
35:27
don't think there are sorry, I don't think there are very Oh,
35:33
do you mean the requirements to be able to apply to the uh university? I think
35:38
because I don't think the scholar scholarships have uh
35:45
separate requirements. So for that you would know need to go to Stanford's website and look for like application
35:53
application requirements. Hang on I think actually we can do that. Let's go to Stanford University page that we
35:59
have. Bachelor international students admission page.
36:05
Uh my eligible for financial aid for example you can look it up here.
36:10
Uh first year applicants requirements and deadlines. So I'm going to give this
36:16
to you. So these are the required application components.
36:22
So uh you can look up the requirements. Amen. Uh I don't think there are
36:28
separate uh requirements for uh financial aid uh other than the
36:35
requirements that you need to get to the university. Right? Am I uh right on
36:41
this? I mean to be able to apply to financial aid.
36:47
Okay. Just at that moment uh the meeting has ended. Zoom call ended. Not
36:56
sure why. Let's try to restart the uh zoom call.
37:06
So uh also there are um need blind and
37:11
need aware universities as well when it comes to uh financial
37:16
uh
37:22
um right sorry wait uh
37:30
basically need blind means that if you apply to the university and tell them they that you have you need financial
37:37
aid. If they're need blind, they don't care about the fact that you need financial aid when deciding to whether
37:45
uh let you in or not. Uh so like if they're need blind, the fact that you
37:50
need financial aid will not kind of hurt your chances of getting in the university, but if they're need it can
37:58
do that. Uh hi Ammon, can you hear me? Uh yeah, can you hear me? I can hear
38:03
you. Can you hear me? Uh um yeah. So yeah, I can hear you. I I
38:10
was saying that financial aid, financial aid is needbased, which means that it's
38:15
not very based, meaning that your require your grades are uh no issue
38:21
provided that you meet the minimum requirements of to attend the the university. And those also vary
38:29
depending on the program you're applying to. So many schools within the same university have different requirements.
38:36
Yeah. It's it's not as simple as telling someone that you need a GPA of 3.9 to
38:42
get into Stanford. Um it's not that. So it just depends on the subject you're
38:48
applying to and then you can know what GPA or high school GPA you need to apply
38:54
to the university. Okay. Thank you very much. Uh they're asking for kaist basically to be able to
39:01
apply to this scholarship. Uh you need to be a bachelor student or applicant in Korea. So uh I actually made a
39:08
application tutorial for this university. I think it was like one year
39:13
ago or something like that. I'm I'm going to share this link with you and you can also look up the tutorial.
39:21
Uh to be able to apply to this you just need to be a a student here. So like the
39:26
requirements are basically for uh the university there are like the university
39:31
requirements not sorry uh the scholarship requirements and again you
39:37
can just go here and click on bachelor for uh international admission page. You're very welcome and now
39:46
and okay I remember this page taking way
39:51
too long uh to load. Yeah. Uh, a lot of the things that are
39:57
in that tutorial should be still um,
40:02
yeah, uh, still the current uh, requirements. So, yeah, you can look it up. Uh, today guys, we're going to talk
40:10
about uh, every week I try to bring you some scholarship that is like currently
40:16
open for application. Uh, a good scholarship basically. And today we're
40:21
going to talk about this one opportunity manheim scholarship at University of Mannheim in Germany. So this is for
40:28
bachelors. It's a univers University of Manheim. Now it says partial funding but
40:34
uh we've talked about this before. A lot of German universities do not
40:39
charge any tuition fees. So usually when it is uh partial funding uh it means
40:45
kind of like it is kind of full funding because you don't have to pay any tuition fee anyway. So like you can like
40:52
the scholarship cannot cover the tition fee. It's not the issue like it's not
40:58
the situation here because you have to pay about €3,000 for this one. Uh
41:03
usually a lot of German universities don't charge any tuition fees. You just have to pay like €300 every uh semester.
41:11
Uh this university is not like that. You have to pay €3,000. But again, this is
41:16
extremely affordable compared to uh pretty much like any other country other
41:22
than uh Europe. Even in Europe, there are some universities that are more
41:27
expensive than this. Uh so yeah, this is about €3,000 every year.
41:33
And this scholarship uh also will give you a lot to cover your uh living costs.
41:39
So basically to be able to study in this university you'll need about 800900
41:46
uh basically that's how much they estimate. I looked it up University of Manheim says you'll need like €8 to €900
41:55
and you'll have to pay about €300 every month for tuition. So it'll be about
42:01
like €1,200 or something like that. And this scholarship covers um at least some of
42:08
that. Uh additional funding. It doesn't say much. Uh this is funding for one
42:16
year. It says one year, but I'm pretty sure I remember it being
42:21
uh like you can you can apply every year. So hang on. Let me see. Application
42:28
online application. Um
42:35
yeah uh foundation grants scholarships for a maximum funding period of one year. If you have not yet finished your
42:42
studies once the funding period is over you can reapply. Basically it's a one-ear scholarship but you can apply
42:48
every year like for four years. And this is a scholarship basically uh let's say
42:54
if even if it covers like €400 a month, right? Then you'll need just €800 a
43:01
month to be able to go and study there. Uh, obviously German universities also have kind of like blocked count thing uh
43:07
that you'll need to have like a certain amount like €12,000 in a uh in an
43:14
account uh to be able to go there and make like the government wants to make sure that you can cover at least one
43:21
year uh worth of like your living costs. So yeah, I mean it it doesn't look like
43:28
much this scholarship, but I think it's kind of like a hidden gem in the sense that uh it will cover like more than
43:35
just your tution fees and you'll be able to go and study there. It might cover pretty much everything by the way like
43:43
because it says uh here let me see
43:51
hang on who sponsors age limit. What is the maximum funding amount granted by
43:56
the opportunity manheim scholarship? There is no fixed maximum funding amount. Please indicate the amount of
44:01
money that you will absolutely need each month. You can give a detailed list of your income and expenses in the online
44:07
application. the difference between income and expenses will help you to estimate the desired amount of funding.
44:13
So, it kind of depends on you. Uh but it has the potential to cover a lot of your
44:19
uh financial needs. I know a lot of you guys are interested in studying in Germany and Germany unfortunately does
44:27
not have a a lot of scholarships because the education is already free in a lot of uh
44:35
universities. So this is one of the scholarships that exist uh here open for
44:40
application until July 15. Uh again it's it's a bit complicated
44:47
but when you add the tuition fees uh the scholarship really is kind of better
44:53
than a full tuition uh you would have in like United States, United Kingdom or
44:59
Canada or something like that. So yeah, I think this is a good opportunity to get uh like opportunity and high uh of
45:06
course there is uh like you need to be able to demonstrate your financial your
45:11
need for financial assistance as well like the university this is called opportunity manheim because university
45:17
wants to make sure that this goes to um a student that may otherwise not have
45:24
the opportunity to go and study there. So yeah, I think it's a good scholarship and we don't have that many scholarships
45:31
open right now. We don't have that many scholarships in Germany period. So yeah. Um Aean, do you want to add anything
45:38
about this scholarship?
45:48
Um if you're talking Evan, I cannot hear you right now.
46:02
I think there's an issue with Zoom. Uh, but I still cannot hear you.
46:11
You don't seem to be muted. Uh, maybe there's something wrong with
46:18
the audio settings.
46:30
So this is the university guys
46:40
and that's pretty much it. It's kind of uh uh hang on let me see um hello there
46:46
is an application pro yeah I can hear it now. Oh okay okay okay.
46:51
Um, yeah, my my headphones were not plugged all the way and I just figured that out. I think they got unplugged.
46:59
Um, yeah. So as I was saying uh well you
47:05
mentioned that at the beginning but uh since universities are uh basically free
47:13
in Germany. Um we have scholarships listed at partial funding but what they
47:19
do is just uh cover what uh what is over the full tuition that
47:26
the universities already uh offer. Yeah. Um
47:32
yeah so this is basically the case uh of the one person who was asking about
47:39
scholarships in France. So if universities offered this same thing it would they would have been uh able to
47:45
just go without having to meet the criterion of having €7,500
47:52
in an account. Uh Germany has a higher uh requirement when it comes to that.
47:59
So, if you don't get a scholarship, you would need around 11,000
48:04
to 12,000 in a blocked account. Uh, from which they would give you your uh living
48:13
allowance each month. So, they would give you a portion of that. Uh, that's just a measure to make sure that you can
48:19
afford your stay in Germany. And the same goes for France to an extent, but I'm not sure if the requirement is that
48:27
the the account is blocked when it comes to France. I know students that just get
48:33
the money in then get it out and then they have this uh piece of paper that uh
48:40
they give in their student visa uh file
48:46
that just proves that they took the money out. But I don't think that the
48:52
requirement is a blocked account like in Germany. Um, yeah. So, that's basically
49:00
the requirement to study in Germany. So, you either get a scholarship or you need €11,000
49:06
in a blocked account. Um, the semesterers are just uh quite cheap. So
49:11
you have to pay a semester fee of about200300 euros uh which is not much uh
49:19
considering the quality of education considering that it's uh one of the most developed
49:25
countries in the world and just in comparison to other countries where tuition fees are
49:32
uh no lower than 10,000 maybe 15,000
49:39
uh euros per year. So it is a pretty good deal. Uh if you want to study uh in
49:46
Europe, I think Germany is a top destination. Um
49:52
yeah, so I I think that's that's basically it. We talk about German
49:58
universities every other week maybe. um we haven't recently but there was a
50:04
time where we discussed in length uh the the German system and why the education
50:12
is free and uh why they're friendly towards international students and it
50:19
remains one of the most or one of the friendliest countries towards international students. So I think uh if
50:27
you're considering studying in Europe, Germany should be uh a priority.
50:35
Okay, thank you Ammon and everyone. That's pretty much it for today. Um
50:41
basically I mean this is a Q&A live stream and I don't see any new uh questions as well and we talked about
50:48
our uh the scholarships that we the scholarship that we wanted to talk about this week. Um, other than that, thank
50:54
you very much for joining in today, everyone. Ammon, thank you very much for joining in also.
51:05
Yes. Thank you for having me. Yes. Okay, everyone, we'll be here next week the
51:10
same time. Hopefully, if there's nothing wrong, nothing goes wrong and uh you can
51:15
come and ask your questions. By the way, we also now do have consultancy services. uh a lot of people were asking
51:22
about that. I guess there is the fact that uh there aren't that many open uh application periods right now. Uh so
51:29
basically we used to have consulting services uh but then kind of we stopped it uh and
51:37
now we've kind of carried it to our YouTube channel. Basically you can just become a member and I think it's to tier
51:44
two like second tier. Uh if you get that membership level uh you get access to
51:49
our discord server where you can get like more direct information about your applications, scholarship applications,
51:55
uh university applications, etc. So yeah, keep those in mind as well. We're here every Friday. If you have any
52:01
questions, you can just come and ask your questions and we'll do us do our best to answer them for you. Other than
52:06
that, uh well that's pretty much it and I guess see you next week, next Friday.
52:13
Bye.
