okay I think we're live hi everyone it's Global Scholarships and I'm your host AZ i hope you're all doing well i hope
0:11
everything is going great uh sorry today we are a little bit late uh some technical issues with my internet uh so
0:18
if you do not know we are uh we do live streams on YouTube every Friday another Friday another live stream and as always
0:25
I'm here joined by our expert Aemon hi Aean how are you how are things going with you uh hi ass i'm doing well thank
0:33
you how are you how have you been i'm doing fine thank you very much so guys
0:38
um I think yeah hi there uh happy happy to see see you here i hope you're doing
0:45
well uh I I I've seen a couple of uh comments about like when
0:51
the Yeah it's been a very long time last week uh I couldn't make it for make it
0:57
to the live stream so yeah I'm doing very well thank you very much um except there are some issues in Turkey um other
1:03
than that I'm personally doing fine i hope you're doing fine too uh Utar I've seen a couple of comments that you've
1:10
made uh questions about some scholarships and some universities if you have any other scholarship any other
1:16
scholarship questions uh I think that's why you're here you're very welcome to our live stream everyone if you're new
1:22
here we are Global Scholarships uh as you can see we have a YouTube channel uh we have a Tik Tok account we have uh
1:29
most importantly we have a website global scholarships basically we're a platform that shares a lot of a ton of
1:35
information about scholarships about studying abroad about universities around globe uh this is our website we
1:42
have like tons of guides about different countries different scholarships different programs how to study abroad
1:49
how to study in a specific country what is the cost of studying in a specific country uh um and and we do have a
1:57
search tool basically this is a search tool to find scholarships uh for
2:02
international students i'm going to show you how to use that and actually we're going to use that today to find
2:09
scholarships like what scholarships do we have in um picking university in China we're going to see every single
2:15
scholarship that we have in our database for that university uh both for undergraduates and graduates and some of
2:21
them are external scholarships some of them are by the university so yeah this is our search tool we're going to see
2:26
that in a second but we also have other very cool stuff for example we have
2:32
external scholarship like global scholarships.com scholarship we're going to talk about that too um we have
2:38
scholarship stories basically these are stories of u students international
2:44
students who has earned received some very prominent very popular scholarships
2:50
around the globe and global scholarships reach out like reaches out to them and
2:55
has like has them tell their story uh you can just click on any one of them to read
3:01
uh like their journey their scholarship details their educational background how did they prepare what would they do
3:08
differently uh what advice they could give you and you can click here by the
3:14
way to see like to filter them for different countries uh for different
3:19
degrees uh for funding funding basically means like we have partial scholarships
3:26
we have full tuition scholarships and we have full funding scholarships partial means uh that the scholarship covers
3:33
less than the tuition fees full tuition means it covers the entirety of tuition
3:38
fees but that's it and full funding means it covers the tuition fees and then gives you something a little bit
3:43
more like maybe accommodation maybe uh health insurance but usually a stipent
3:49
um like a monthly allowance or something like that one of the best thank you very much uh thank you uh if you have any
3:57
questions or any of course any constructive feedback or criticism we are always open to that too so yeah for
4:04
example um if you want you can uh filter for any country let's say
4:09
China and uh you're going to see like these people uh they've earned some
4:14
scholarships in China for example uh master scholarship uh these are fully
4:20
funded all of these their nationalities blah blah blah you can read about uh
4:25
their like I think this is one this is one of the places that you'll get the best insight about that scholarships for
4:32
example let's Take Canada right um Canada has some of the most uh sought
4:38
after scholarships in the world for example um let's click on any one of
4:45
these international students for example when you're Canada graduate scholarship like their what is the scholarship how
4:52
they get that scholarship i think this is like this gives you really good insight hi sir uh I am grateful for this
5:00
channel as I was able to apply for Ireland that's great great to hear roia which scholarship did you apply to uh
5:08
and Utkar says sir I applied to for Kyoto University of Science for undergraduate program but I got rejected
5:15
so what should be the reason that they rejected me sir um first of all it's a
5:21
very very competitive university and like I think
5:27
probably the like the most the likeliest reason would be that they have uh other
5:33
candidates maybe they with better um credentials but for example if you can
5:39
give us some information about your application your credentials uh that might be uh then maybe we can help you a
5:45
little better i mean I'm going to ask Aean of course uh but like I'm pretty
5:51
sure his main point would be like maybe you can get more information about your application or Ammon do you have any uh
5:58
direct insight about this like what could be uh the reason that they've rejected
6:07
i mean yeah we can't we can't really know why it's a an applicant by
6:13
applicant situation uh we can't speculate on why a university didn't accept a certain
6:21
application so it just uh depends on uh your application as you said
6:29
uh so okay Rokia asks sir I applied and received offer from a university but I
6:35
have applied for government of Ireland scholarship but the university list will be announced in June i am confused
6:42
should I pay the deposit fee [Music]
6:48
um could you specify a little bit more Rokia like what university and what
6:53
scholarship like did you applied uh for example I don't think we have um
6:59
government of Ireland scholarship in our scholarship database like government
7:04
scholarship database is yeah now um Ammon do you know
7:10
anything about Ireland government scholarship i think we have it uh just the general
7:17
search
7:23
oh I see this one um postgraduate scholarship but is this the one you're
7:29
talking
7:34
about yeah maybe if you can give uh we have it the government of Ireland scholarship it has
7:41
closed uh I think this is um postgraduate one is there a
7:48
undergraduate hang on let me search for
7:54
Ireland um let's say government it doesn't doesn't come
8:02
up should I pay the deposit fee mentioned in my offer letter uh Aan can
8:08
you give any information any insight or advice for
8:13
that [Music]
8:21
um yeah I'm not sure so you you'll have to ask
8:29
um so I'm not sure if you got the scholarship and if the scholarship is
8:34
announced after you got your offer letter um then you should probably ask if
8:41
you'll be reimbursed later for the deposit but I don't think that's how it
8:46
works i think you supposed to
8:55
um get your offer but you're not supposed to pay because you applied to the university i mean sorry the
9:02
scholarship uh generally speaking scholarships ask for
9:08
uh proof that you were admitted at a number of universities
9:14
uh as part of their conditions and so you're you're supposed
9:20
to uh be able to given the option of paying at the same time as getting the
9:26
scholarship so if you don't get the scholarship you pay uh your fee deposit
9:32
but if you don't get it uh then or sorry or if you get it then the scholarship
9:37
will uh cover that take care of the the fees
9:42
yeah okay thank you very much if you can specify your situation a little bit
9:48
better uh like with more information okay maybe we can help you a little better so Sodic says um first I'm going
9:56
to come to your question um so Sodic says uh can you please talk
10:02
about Max scholarship and do you help students apply for scholarships or do you just give information so uh we've
10:09
talked a lot about Max scholarship sodic uh we we have like guides on our website
10:15
uh you can go to scholarship section and like in the popular government scholarships uh you can just click on
10:24
next here to read our guide we also have you can also go to our website uh type
10:30
in Japan or or what you could also do just type in next i guess I think that works
10:37
yeah you can read that guide like uh this will give you a lot of a lot of information we also do have videos on
10:45
our YouTube channel we even made I think a an application tutorial but I believe
10:50
that was for u graduates program uh other than that if
10:55
you have any specific questions about MA mixed u you can ask us in the chat and
11:01
we'll do our best to answer them for you um other than that yeah we do not well
11:06
we give information we share information our uh real aim main goal is that but we
11:14
also used to have like a consultancy service it is actually still active uh
11:20
but since that we have uh like we have enough people who had signed up for that
11:25
and we don't want to like uh we don't want too many people to sign up uh so
11:30
like so that we can give them a better um we can give them a better service so
11:36
the like applications are not open right now and really there's no way to know
11:41
when it will again be open we I mean we do have a consulting service but it is not open for application right now okay
11:49
so hi there Kuriku it's great to see you here today now Utkar back to your
11:55
question so you said uh 10th 87% and
12:03
75.2 and applied for both scholarship as well as undergraduate program i think
12:09
maybe academic was the reason I still have three more university way to go i
12:14
applied to Nagoya University Rashmika University in
12:20
Washington University don't know i think I will not get selected here also I got
12:25
rejected from Kyoto i think that means Kod University uh I still applied have
12:31
three more university okay I see romea yeah I I I get that and was university i
12:36
don't think so it will be directed from Ky University of advanced science okay I see so your question was was it the
12:45
academics so uh for that's for 10th grade I believe
12:51
87 and 75.2 two for both scholarship as well as
12:57
undergraduate program aman what do you think about this um academics do you think it might be the
13:03
reason or maybe might be a better idea to look for it somewhere else
13:11
i think looking at their website they have so many more criteria that you need
13:17
to fulfill than just academic uh records
13:23
um you I don't think they have mentioned their uh English proficiency test
13:28
results uh whether they had the letters of recommendation mhm
13:37
um there's also uh an essay that you need to write or
13:45
two two of them depending on where you're what what faculty you're applying
13:50
for so these are all things that are taken into consideration so it's not
13:55
just uh your results in high school or 12th
14:02
year um yeah I'm not sure if you have had all of these
14:09
uh submitted and if you fulfilled all these criteria but even if you did like
14:15
we don't know what you had in your essay and
14:23
Uh yeah the they go through the essays and they are in determinator factor as
14:34
well all right so yeah if you have any I mean genuinely there there are very few
14:40
things that we can do to answer your question about like why you
14:46
got rejected that always happens there are like a lot of uh people uh who are
14:51
applying to universities like there and nurses in Japan are usually quite
14:57
competitive hana asks please I'm from Ghana can
15:03
apply can apply what I think we're going to have to hear the rest of that question uh we can before we can answer
15:11
Hannah uh but you're welcome to the live stream so yeah guys if you have any
15:16
questions just type them in the chat uh other than that today we're going to see
15:22
uh again as I said no hang on before that I showcasing our website right so
15:29
we've seen our scholarship stories we also have admission and scholarship results that might be something that you
15:35
would be interested in I think sorry it's also a great tool basically these are some of the
15:42
results that uh global scholarships gathered uh from different universities admission results
15:48
basically like uh this is an admission this is an admission this is an admission and these are the universities
15:55
these are the details of those admissions and whether they got accepted or not for example uh an admission from
16:02
Turkey uh with 1520 SAT with um unknown
16:08
expected family contribution 4.0 GPA and applying for a fully funded scholarship
16:14
in University of Richmond and they got accepted as you can see we have thousands of results here you can just
16:21
um filter them here let's say if you're interested in Harvard uh you'll see just
16:28
Harvard University results and that may give you an idea about like what types
16:33
of scholarships they uh are more likely to accept uh yeah I'm afraid most of
16:41
them are from United States so unfortunately there is no admission result in here for uh
16:49
KAC K uh I'm writing and research paper as well as journals to make my academic
16:55
profile strong do you think uh 12 past student can write these things
17:04
um I don't think I got that question exactly uh by do you think a 12 past
17:13
student can write these things uh what do you mean like do you mean whether
17:20
they would affect your application if so Aean do you have any idea
17:28
i don't think undergraduate students or like people applying for undergraduate degrees are
17:34
uh judged on this basis this is generally for graduate students when it
17:40
comes to research papers publications uh all of these are uh things that are
17:47
considered for graduate admission uh so for
17:53
undergraduate students I don't think you have enough background
17:58
to uh about research in general to to have anything of substance that can help
18:05
you with any kind of application so I think you should focus on uh much more
18:11
uh important things uh that go into undergraduate admission
18:18
uh probably just sit for uh standardized exams if you think that your results are
18:26
uh not uh on par with what universities are uh looking for um yeah so that's the
18:34
way to go about it instead of uh doing research that's for later
18:40
okay thank you very much um Hana we are looking into different scholarships there is no specific scholarship that we
18:47
are talking about right now but we're going to see a lot of scholarships today so first I think Sadik said "What
18:56
are the chances and requirements for mixed i heard mixed can be super complicated competitive and it requires
19:03
high academic background but I'm only an average student." So so yeah again I
19:09
would like you I would like to refer you to our actually let me share the link with you you can get a lot of
19:16
information from here like these are the eligibility criteria uh you might see
19:21
these are like the requirements for you to be able to apply and there are
19:26
different ways of applying to uh mixed and we kind of go through that like
19:33
every step and what like what are the differences in our YouTube video as well so basically you can just like apply
19:39
through the through the embassy uh apply through the university so I'm going to
19:45
share this link with you and also for example you can see these people these are the scholarship recipients basically
19:52
these are the people uh that we found that got this scholarship uh for example
19:58
in like PhD in material science from India in akida university and so yeah
20:06
you can read about them and to see their stories which will give you an idea um
20:13
if you have any other specific questions like I mean we have a lot of information on our both our website and our uh
20:20
YouTube videos as well uh but other than that so like you can see the requirements here and I do believe like
20:29
different embassies different universities can have different requirements like very specific requirements requirements as well so
20:35
yeah you can look into those and I think here in this page you can click here and
20:42
this will take you to our like page of embassies and you can go to like your
20:49
country's embassy for example let's say you're from India let's say embassy of
20:54
Japan embassy of Japan in India and pretty much in every website that you'll
20:59
see there is a like here there will be something about education something about scholarship you Click on that uh
21:07
and probably that will get you to um their page for this scholarship right
21:15
Japanese government scholarship for example uh you can read these like undergraduate you can click here and get
21:21
more information qualifications conditions for example for India it's like 80% blah blah blah so that's where
21:29
you can find more information um Abhei says hello as hi Hi great to see you
21:35
again great to see you here as well i want to apply in fall of 2026 what recommendations would you s suggest for
21:42
graduate program in AI basically what all should I focus to grab a scholarship
21:48
at a good university i think uh we can give you better uh advice if you like if
21:55
you specify your goals a little bit for example if there is a specific country that you want to study in um or like
22:03
actually yeah I guess graduate program maybe your like uh GPA maybe your credentials a little bit but uh Aean do
22:10
you have any like general advice you could give uh for someone who will apply
22:16
in fall of 2026 uh for prograduate program in AI
22:25
i mean you there's no general advice when it comes to uh getting the
22:33
scholarship in general because most of them are given on a merit
22:38
basis so uh your credentials are very important uh when it comes to securing
22:45
scholarships of course um you need to start preparation like
22:52
right now that's that's uh one of the most important things is just starting early and giving yourself the time to
23:00
think about your essays to make sure that you have everything ready by the
23:06
time uh you need to apply um that's one of the most important things just giving
23:12
yourself time going through uh several drafts of everything uh you need to make
23:20
sure that uh whatever you have in your essay aligns with uh the objectives of
23:28
the scholarships you're applying for and I think the best advice I can give you is just
23:35
apply for as many as you can and that would increase your chances of getting a
23:40
scholarship eventually so you can't expect to get every scholarship you apply for but the more scholarships you
23:49
apply for the more chances you're giving yourself of getting one
23:55
okay thank you we have two very specific questions sir what countries
24:00
says are good to study masters in telecommunication engineering i surely
24:07
do not know very specifically for telecommunication engineering um for
24:14
like in general engineering obviously like Asian universities are really great
24:19
um so I would like there are very good universities all around the world obviously uh but like I think for a
24:26
student in budget one thing that like one place uh that is really overlooked
24:32
when it comes to like studying science studying engineering is I believe China
24:38
or Taiwan who like have some really good uh universities for example we're going
24:44
to see picking university today they have some like top ranking universities in science
24:49
but is also both very affordable and they have a lot of uh scholarships as
24:55
well there are a lot of scholarship opportunities in China as well uh so not not specifically for telecommunication
25:02
engineering but in general I think one like hidden gem about uh for studying
25:08
engineering might be um China or Taiwan china has some like better like what
25:15
would you say like top globally top ranking universities as well uh but Taiwan also has very good universities
25:21
and a lot of scholarships aean do you have any specific uh advice for this
25:26
question studying masters in telecommunication engineering
25:32
uh it's hard to really recommend universities or countries for specific
25:38
subjects uh because probably most universities we
25:44
would suggest would be good enough it all depends on uh the person themselves
25:49
and their goals and whether for example they want to learn a new language or to
25:57
just study in English uh so these are
26:02
things that uh one needs to take into consideration
26:07
when uh applying for uh studying abroad because
26:14
we can for example recommend France where education is education is cheap
26:22
uh but you need to learn French before so it's hard to get English to all
26:28
programs Uh that's why it's really hard to recommend uh countries to study a
26:36
specific subject um in in general I think most of
26:43
the big countries are uh suitable for
26:49
studying any graduate degree including telecommunication engineering uh be it
26:55
the US or the UK or Canada or Australia um Germany uh all of these countries
27:03
that we talk about every single week are really good enough so it just depends on
27:08
vetting individual universities uh by just doing research and you will
27:16
eventually find a university that is suitable for you um that's the best way
27:22
to go about it all right thanks so we have another incredibly specific
27:28
question uh how is University of Michigan and Arbor for MS in HC i I will
27:36
immediately defer to Aean because I have no idea amen what do you think
27:42
well I have no idea myself i really can't say anything
27:49
but I guess uh just as you said like I think uh like best way to do go would be
27:55
like vetting the university specifically for the program and looking into it uh maybe you
28:02
can look into like university rankings uh they do have
28:08
like in terms of subject etc i think one like if you're so specific about your
28:15
like graduate study uh like subject program and the university I think a
28:20
good way like good thing to do would be uh just like looking at the you know
28:26
like the professors and like what they are uh studying what kind of uh p like
28:31
what kind of scientific work they publish uh what kind of uh what would
28:38
you say you know like in general you could look into uh professors or like teachers
28:44
a little bit more uh if like you're going for graduate um studies because
28:51
there like it is less about the university in general like universities
28:56
uh general quality and more about the specific uh professors and yeah if if
29:02
you have the opportunity to study with a great professor even if the university
29:08
is not that great it can it will make your whole uh graduate education like
29:14
completely different so yeah okay i don't see any other uh
29:20
questions today all right uh so what we're going to do is today we're going
29:26
to see all every single scholarship in picking university okay the day before
29:31
that bit of a question why does Aean s not come in front of camera uh he
29:37
prefers it this way and I do not question it all right
29:45
so now uh again today we're going to see pecking university so basically you can
29:51
go to globalcolarships.com and type in university uh and see like see our page
29:58
we have a lot of information here uh about the university there are four scholarships um not not quite but we're
30:07
going to see those we're going to see what I mean it's in Beijing obviously about 46,000 students you can get more
30:14
information about um like admission process here you can click on any one of
30:19
these links to go to the university's page about admission uh with video we have one admission result
30:27
uh from one person from USA uh with 1590 SAT a 3.75 GPA uh with no scholarship
30:37
and they got accepted ranking and all is great but being international student going under Trump administration is it
30:43
good to go for it considering job market
30:50
um yeah this is a really difficult question i don't think
30:56
uh I think in terms of job market you should consider more long-term but when
31:04
it comes to uh education itself I think uh it might be a better idea to consider
31:10
short term as well because like job market you like the the policies of
31:17
countries can change uh you can like if you get your basically you can get your
31:23
uh degree and go and try your luck with different countries with under different
31:29
managements and under different with different policies uh so I think you
31:34
like I think it would be a better idea to look at that in a more like long term
31:40
uh but yeah if you want to study go and study there like for next four years at
31:46
least uh you're going to be doing that under Trump ad administration so I'm not
31:52
sure i cannot say that i think in the long like for your career I think more
31:59
long-term approach might be a better idea but your education Yeah uh I'm not
32:05
sure ammon do you have any ideas
32:13
um yeah i mean it's probably not great
32:18
right now in the US just given how
32:24
uh things are going right now um but I would say that any president in
32:32
the United States will run for what four years and I think by the time you finish
32:38
your degree there will be a new administration so I wouldn't really worry about the job market
32:45
uh if you're considering pursuing a job after uh graduating
32:53
so it it will be a long uh time away but at the same time I don't think they're
33:00
granting as many student visas right now to study in the US so I think getting
33:08
uh your visa or just going to the US is uh
33:15
probably slightly more challenging than it was a few years back yes and that's something to consider uh I don't know if
33:23
a lot of people are interested in going through uh the hassle of applying and
33:31
with their chances uh being at an all-time low so I would probably consider other countries at the
33:38
moment uh yeah I I saw projections just the moment Trump was elected of
33:46
uh being way less international students in the US uh in comparison to all
33:52
previous years so there were very very uh alarming projections when it comes to
33:58
that so probably uh consider uh other
34:05
destinations where you have better chances of being admitted to universities and then being a granted a
34:11
student visa all right uh Udgar says "Sir do you
34:16
know how to make your SO SOP unique because I literally getting frustrated
34:22
as my SOP is not becoming unique from the SOP which I found on Google even
34:28
though I write it myself what do you think like what do you what you could say could you say in
34:34
general hi
34:41
oh so was that to me sorry yeah yeah yeah
34:47
um yeah I think the first mistake you have made is looking for one online i
34:54
think you just should have started uh on your own uh your statement of
35:01
purpose is is just something that should be unique to you and just having the
35:08
influence uh of having seen one or just another
35:13
person's work would definitely uh influence yours and you'll always
35:23
have it in the back of your mind so I would probably just start from scratch
35:28
and uh have have just have your own uh in
35:34
your own words and uh just focus on telling your own story
35:43
just highlighting your unique abilities your unique skills what makes you a good
35:50
candidate for any university or any scholarship things that uh would only
35:58
apply to you and not anything generic that uh probably they read in every
36:05
application so that's how you should go about it i don't think you should uh see
36:11
other people's statements of purposes or statements of purpose uh because they
36:17
will eventually influence yours and then that would make it as you say or as you
36:24
said not unique so it would just be another copy of another person's uh
36:30
statement of purpose so car I see your new question as well
36:35
uh so what aiming means is that yeah you already make it on your own but like
36:41
there is whenever you see someone someone else's or like something on the internet
36:47
it will influence you um and I I don't think it is like I think looking at it
36:55
as like it's not better than what I found on Google is really good uh way to
37:02
approach it it should be unique it should be yours so like it shouldn't be
37:08
better than someone like better than something else that you have found on the internet but should be different
37:14
should be unique to yourself new counselor is getting my type of SOP every year so to be unique in front of a
37:21
mirror see uh so yeah I I think
37:27
maybe I think maybe a better way to do that would be not kind of com compared
37:33
to something else like something that you found from somebody else because like then then like unavoidably
37:42
unavoidably it will be like like that even if you are making it different it
37:48
will be based bas on someone else's SOP so I think maybe you should like you should do your best to completely try
37:55
and wipe it off from your mind and do your own thing right yeah i mean because
38:02
it there clearly is an influence in yours um so yeah I think you shouldn't
38:09
look at it as like which one is better but look at it uh like does this really
38:16
express me as a person and my purpose um that might be a better idea okay so
38:23
says according to what I'm seeing on the website for max I need language proficiency test but with which one um
38:32
want to apply for APU for next year spring I want to add
38:37
bikes um yeah there I I believe there are like
38:43
um lists and you could choose any one of those tests like the for each one of
38:49
them they have a score uh threshold uh like minimum score and any one of them
38:56
will do like both ILT or uh TULE will do
39:01
like if you if you've seen the English proficiency requirement uh one of them will do it doesn't have to like one
39:09
specific uh one of those so yeah okay uh back to picking
39:16
university now um we have deadline information here we have tuition information
39:22
here okay stand one change there yeah uh it should be I mean there
39:29
is no certain way there is no shortcut to being unique and well also there's the fact
39:37
that yeah uh I mean if you're applying for an undergraduate program uh well you
39:44
are someone who is younger than like 18 years old and like you shouldn't like
39:50
there won't be a lot of people who has done who have done very like incredible
39:55
things who have done like insanely unique or something i think it just like you should focus on how to best express
40:05
yourself as a person because that's what also matters like not just like what
40:10
what a unique this person is but also how well they express themselves as a
40:16
person like how well you manifest yourself as a person all right so
40:22
tuitions uh so China is usually much much much affordable for uh
40:28
international students compared to other places like United States uh Japan South
40:34
Korea and obviously Australia they're way more expensive with their uh tuition
40:40
fees so for example this university for bachelors it's about like 30,000 Chinese
40:46
one which is about Chinese yuan uh which is about $4,000 and they have a lot of
40:53
scholarships that cover uh tuition fees too by the way Pecking University if you
40:59
do not know is like it's I think it's the second best university in China and it's like in I think it was at some
41:05
point at the top 10 globally uh but now I think it's like 12 12 13th or
41:12
something like that so like it's a very very very high ranking university uh worldwide so like being able to study
41:23
uh in such a good university for like just $4,000 $5,000 is like is a great
41:31
opportunity and so if you want to get more information you can look at our page here uh we can just go and see like
41:39
what it looks like where it is i mean of course it's in Beijing uh so this is the
41:45
university this is where it is this is uh what it looks like again it's a great
41:51
university and Chinese universities or in general Chinese education is becoming
41:56
like more uh popular around the world especially after like the latest news
42:02
about like AI deeps etc etc etc so like some of these universities are genuinely
42:09
one of the like the best universities uh in the world for uh studying like
42:15
science studying engineering studying software etc etc um computer engineering
42:22
so yeah computer science so this is the university another thing that you might
42:27
be interested in is how much it costs to stay there and study as a student so
42:34
okay we have to pay about $4,000 um every year for tuition but
42:40
like what else so basically they do have an estimation uh so this is like their
42:47
tuition blah blah blah and like um accommodation housing living costs so
42:54
you can look into these as well uh you have to kind like obviously have to add
42:59
these up but um it shouldn't be more than like um
43:05
let's say about like yeah this is for year let's say 1,500
43:12
uh yeah yeah yeah it shouldn't be more than 3,000 4,000 even 5,000 let's
43:18
say so yeah it is about like $500 $600 $700 Beijing is a little bit more
43:25
expensive than other places in China since it's so central so all of
43:32
these scholarships as you can see I mean usually you don't see this many full funding or uh full tuition scholarships
43:42
these are not all full funding but they're up to full funding i mean I think I was doing a I was making a video
43:49
about University of Melbourne recently and pretty much all the scholarships they have are just partial scholarships
43:55
so yeah this is usually universities in China offer comprehensive scholarships that are for like all
44:02
degrees okay i want to study English linguistics in Japan do you have recommendations for universities I can
44:09
apply to in Japan uh and another the KKK brand says can I apply for max
44:16
scholarship for bachelor in any computer field if my background is medical i'm
44:22
doing web development from next skill and I've done OMC course also okay these
44:28
are very specific questions okay first of all Aean uh do you have any
44:34
recommendation for someone who wants to study English linguistics in Japan
44:42
uh honestly no i it's pretty unheard of to
44:53
uh pursue English language programs in or at Asian universities
45:01
although they do offer these programs
45:06
um yeah so linguistics is
45:12
uh a quite quite a popular uh choice uh for people who want to pursue a degree
45:21
in English that is probably offered at most
45:26
universities in Japan um but I wouldn't be able to recommend a specific
45:34
university in Japan or elsewhere for that matter uh it's it's really hard to gauge how
45:43
good uh a program is especially in a humanities
45:50
uh field um it all so those will always
45:56
boil down to how good the teachers are rather than how good the program is
46:02
because probably our curricula everywhere are really good at this point
46:07
uh when it comes to language teaching
46:13
um which means that it all just boils down to the the teachers themselves and
46:21
that would require uh real research on the part of anyone
46:26
who wants to apply so you would have to get in touch with alumni from uh these
46:32
universities you plan on uh applying to and they would be able to tell you
46:39
whether it would be a good idea to go for that specific uh program at that
46:45
specific university so it's really hard to recommend the university when it comes to such subjects
46:52
all right so um KK says can I apply okay this is the this is also another very
46:59
specific question can I apply for max scholarship for bachelor in any computer field if my background is medical i'm
47:07
doing web development from next skill and have done OMC course
47:13
also [Music] um okay do you know if there is any
47:20
restrictions on mix i think there are like there are restrictions for age
47:26
obviously uh but do you know if there are any I mean they have a background in medical
47:35
but they're they want to apply for bachelor's programs in Japan and apply for
47:43
maxed do you have any information on that I I cannot really remember if there were any restrictions like it should be
47:49
your first bachelor's degree or something like that to remember
47:56
i don't think there are any restrictions when it comes to
48:02
uh pursuing a degree while having a different background mhm
48:11
um I think for the most part
48:17
uh there there are eligibility criteria as far as
48:22
certain grades uh for specific subjects yeah uh so for
48:29
example I think we had a question last week about someone who said that
48:34
uh they require a grade in math but all they studied was uh chemistry at Yeah in
48:42
high school and they couldn't do that but if you have everything they require
48:47
regardless of your background I think you can apply for
48:52
uh the scholarship i don't see anything uh here about any kind of restrictions
49:00
except for age and that's it so being a citizen of an eligible country and then
49:08
your age dependent on what degree you're going yeah so what you could do is hang
49:15
on
49:21
um not things so let me share this link with you you can use this page to uh
49:29
click here on eligibility page and click on like go to whatever like what country
49:37
you are from there like Japanese embassy there for example if you're from uh
49:43
Canada you can click here and usually it's pretty much the same like all
49:48
embassy pages because they're made by the same country basically so here for example it's education and scholarships
49:56
you can click here and then you can get information about I think this
50:01
there's there it is right uh research in Japan learning yeah okay no sorry here
50:10
next so yeah from your country's uh embassy page
50:17
you can get information about like very specific requirements and um disclosure
50:23
covers full tuition application yeah you can again
50:30
uh you know like I think you get what I mean for example requirement outline of eligibility as you can see there there's
50:36
age but if you're applying for another just another bachelor's degree then it
50:42
should shouldn't really matter um I have applied for tuition
50:48
grant at NTU Singapore does it its total fees
50:54
uh covers living expenses or accommodation uh on campus and food
51:01
[Music] so I think by NTEU you mean
51:07
nanyang we don't have I don't see any tuition grant here uh they do have a
51:14
full funding scholarship if you mean this uh nan global scholarship if you
51:20
applied for this yeah this covers quite a lot of things uh but it's if it's just another
51:27
like if it's just a tuition grant uh maybe you've applied for a tuition grant from uh external scholarship uh usually
51:35
tuition grants do not cover your living expenses uh if I'm wrong about like your
51:41
question being about NTEU correct me on this uh but I think like if it's it is
51:47
this one uh yeah it covers uh tuition fees it covers a living allowance um I'm
51:54
not sure if this would cover your living uh expenses in Singapore singapore is
52:00
quite expensive of course uh and then like accommodation blah blah blah it covers all of these but it is not called
52:07
tuition grants i'm not sure if that's what you're asking about okay Jess says scholarship list in your country Turkey
52:14
um do I need to get admitted first in Turkish University for applying the
52:20
fully funded scholarship program it will be easy for me to get admission there if I can secure a spot in scholarship first
52:28
so um if you're asking for specific university scholarships
52:36
uh I think for that you have to apply like you have to uh contact the specific
52:41
university that you are interested in and then ask them uh if you're asking about Turkey scholarship Turkey boot or
52:49
Turkey scholarships uh what you can do is to go to our website scholarships
52:55
view all there should be Turkey Turkey scholarships and I do believe for this
53:02
you do not apply directly to the university but you apply to the
53:07
scholarship and then they also place you in a uh university we also have made a
53:14
video about this one let me share the link with you there it is uh so yeah you can get
53:20
more information um something that I always um emphasize is uh be very of these
53:28
numbers uh these numbers change quite a lot they have to change because there is
53:34
a there's a really big inflation problem in Turkey of course so yeah like I would
53:41
advise you to go in and look for the updated numbers uh they are more
53:46
regularly updated in native language pages so like if you can go to the
53:51
Turkish page and then see the numbers there um yeah but if you're asking for a
53:58
specific university's uh scholarship in Turkey uh there is
54:03
no I I do not have any any general information about the university scholarships in Turkey we also do not
54:09
have in our any in our database you would like to like you would have to go by the university according to the
54:16
specific university anas asks is there any scholarships in US yes of course
54:22
there are a lot of scholarships uh so you could go to our website uh hit
54:28
enter and like we have filters here and type in United States to see all the
54:35
scholarships that we have as you can see like in our database we have about 4,500
54:41
scholarships and about 1,700 of those are uh from United States
54:47
other than that you can of course degree like filter by degree for bachelor's masters funding type scholarship type um
54:57
deadline subjects nationalities blah blah blah so yeah there are a lot of scholarships it is just global
55:03
scholarships.com if you just go to our website um and I think that's it
55:10
um oh Aman I didn't ask you like was there anything you wanted to
55:16
add to anything I've said about like a couple of last couple of questions for example NTU
55:26
Singapore um yeah yeah so I think for that one not enough uh details as to
55:33
what scholarship they applied for although I could see a lot more scholarships on their website than we
55:40
have i think they have recently added those and we have to add them um while for the Turkish scholarship and
55:48
universities I think you would know way more than I do anyway
55:54
okay thanks so um hang on let me see if if there is something
56:01
called tuition grant i said these are the ones I
56:06
believe no new nan global talent the deans
56:15
award there there are okay there are a lot of items here i'm just going to
56:21
search for tuition grant there is no scholarship that is
56:27
specifically named tuition grant um your present award deans award merit
56:36
scholarship so uh let me share the link this link with you if you have like if
56:42
you know the spec like the name of the specific scholarship you are uh talking about you can just look at them here and
56:48
in the benefits award they will give you an idea all right back to
56:56
packing so we have four scholarships
57:01
um by which I mean we have uh one scholarship from the university for both
57:06
undergraduate and graduate univers uh students and then we have three external
57:13
scholarships two of them are government scholarships and one is
57:19
globalcolarships.com $3,000 scholarship for international students so basically university
57:26
scholarship is um in China we have these scholarships Chinese universities offer
57:32
that they are for all degrees and they have uh multiple tiers basically um
57:40
like some some of them are like there are three tiers right if you get the first tier it's just like tuition fees
57:48
uh if you get the second tier it's tuition fees plus they give you perhaps accommodation
57:54
And if you get the third tier which is the highest tier uh you get tuition you
57:59
get accommodation and you get a living statement maybe health insurance something like that and they are
58:05
available for all degrees so yeah uh this is one of those there are two tiers
58:12
in this basically partial scholarship uh covers 100% of tuition fees so do not
58:21
mistake this with partial funding scholarships uh this is the university's
58:26
partial scholarship but it covers 100% of the tuition fees which is again about
58:32
3,400 thou $4,000 every year and then if you get
58:37
the full scholarship you get your tuition covered you get a living statement you get accommodation expenses
58:44
and you get a comprehensive medical insurance so again very comprehensive
58:49
scholarship covers pretty much everything and it is available for all
58:55
subjects all nationalities all all degrees basically you can apply to everyone if you are
59:01
admitted to this university you can apply for the scholarship so it is full
59:07
funding we have the eligibility criteria here you have to be of good health that's something that is quite important
59:13
to Chinese universities non nonreian of other scholarships another thing that Chinese
59:20
universities usually look for not possessing a professional degree not enlisted in a joint degree program or an
59:28
English taught program so yeah you have to be studying a Chinese
59:34
program usually uh Chinese universities do have like different scholarship
59:40
opportunities for Chinese programs and like English programs uh if they are offering those we have the deadlines
59:47
here we have made a video about this one you can click here and watch that you can leave your questions in our comment
59:53
section uh and then your questions will be answered by Yan Lee who is the founder of global scholarships uh or you
1:00:00
can click here and go to the website of the university what about the Korean
1:00:05
scholarships what about them we have a lot of information about Korean scholarships uh you can go to if
1:00:13
you're looking if you're asking for uh Korean government scholarships you can
1:00:19
uh under the scholarship section go to view all and then see
1:00:25
the Korea global scholarships basically they are uh government scholarships you can get information from here we've made
1:00:32
a video we've made made videos about that and we've also made um tutorials
1:00:38
application tutorials so yeah this is uh the University scholarship we have the criteria and eligibility
1:00:45
here duration of scholarship which is a normal duration of your program uh value
1:00:51
again partial scholarship covers tuition full scholarship covers pretty much everything when to apply and yeah that's
1:00:58
pretty much it how to apply blah blah blah and this is basically the first and the second scholarship this is for both
1:01:06
uh undergraduate and graduate students as I said Chinese universities usually have this one scholarship that is for
1:01:14
everyone pretty much ser says "If the scholarship is for students who are
1:01:19
forced to leave their country as a result of the war such as Syria do we have to provide proof of asylum or can
1:01:27
apply if we still in their country?" Uh I think that kind of
1:01:34
depends um do you know anything about this one
1:01:48
so they're asking about scholarships in general not not this specific one right
1:01:56
uh they say if this scholarship is for students who are forced to leave their country as a result of the war such as
1:02:03
Syria do we have to provide proof of asylum or can we apply if we still in
1:02:09
their country Syria i'm not I'm not perfectly sure what they mean by that
1:02:17
um so if you are in Syria then you
1:02:23
probably can apply uh for the scholarship as long as the university
1:02:30
uh classifies you as students in countries
1:02:36
uh facing any kind of displacement uh so it just comes down to the
1:02:43
university's policy and what they consider to be uh extenuating
1:02:51
circumstances um I it's a country by country thing and
1:02:56
university by university thing but for universities that consider uh Syria to
1:03:02
be uh a war country or a country being
1:03:09
uh at war then yes uh you can apply while being in Syria
1:03:16
okay thanks so another viewer asks K Arts and Yoni
1:03:22
University i want to get a 100% scholarship to one of them i'm 15 what
1:03:27
do I need to work on besides grades and language and what do I do what's an
1:03:32
early bird how does it work my friend i'll graduate after 2 years i'm Egyptian
1:03:38
so yeah we don't really talk all that much all that often about like what a
1:03:44
person very early in their education usually people who are like 15 years old
1:03:50
like very early in uh high school uh they don't look they don't come and ask a lot
1:03:57
of questions in our live streams i I think it's great that you are interested in uh so early uh so Aiman what advice
1:04:05
would you give to someone who they are 15 they want to get a get like good
1:04:12
scholarships in Korea um and like what can they work on besides grades and
1:04:19
language i mean 100% i wouldn't say even besides
1:04:26
language it's the it's the language for South Korea um I think
1:04:32
you improve your chances drastically by having a topic level of
1:04:39
like five or six and if you have that and then apply for the global Korea
1:04:45
scholarship and not only will you be exempted from the first preparatory year
1:04:52
but also you will get extra uh uh allowance so an extra allowance
1:04:59
and it would definitely improve your chances so it would put you on the top
1:05:06
list of the applicants just because you know the language you're already showing commitment to
1:05:13
uh learning the culture and language of South Korea and that is an important
1:05:20
part of the scholarship so uh the scholarship will enable you to study at
1:05:26
any of the universities you have mentioned you just apply through the university track and just by having the
1:05:34
language you're already uh in the top 1% of the applicants so I think for the
1:05:39
next three years just learn try to learn Korean and by learn it I think I mean
1:05:47
uh be as proficient as possible and aim for uh
1:05:54
a native level uh of Korean and and you'll be probably guaranteed a
1:06:01
scholarship if nothing changes in the next 3 years but you'd probably be
1:06:07
guaranteed a scholarship so yeah if you do not know topic is uh
1:06:13
test of proficiency in Korean so I've shared two links with you the first one is for our country guide uh in South
1:06:20
Korea basically it's a collection of guides that we have for this country
1:06:26
there are a lot of guides here from like education pros and cons uh choosing
1:06:32
university we also made a lot of videos on South Korea as well you can look into those too and yeah what Ammon said is
1:06:40
also I really highly advise you to uh watch our video like tutorial
1:06:46
application tutorial for um global hang on Korean government
1:06:52
scholarship okay just let me show you so this is this is their uh global Korea
1:06:58
scholarships this is their government scholarship um I think you like as Aean
1:07:04
said this is a great scholarship and the way you apply to this scholarship really really matters as well so like if you
1:07:12
for example if you choose your choose the universities you're going to apply
1:07:17
um carelessly it will really really reduce your chances of getting the scholarship so if you are interested in
1:07:24
this uh like I think getting a better idea about the scholarship will really
1:07:29
help you uh I think for like for a lot of people uh going through the right
1:07:36
application track applying for the right universities because they have two different types of universities uh like
1:07:42
your chances like they have different quotas for different types of universities from for universities from
1:07:49
different countries as well so look at those two they are very important uh so
1:07:55
like if you apply through the right track for the right universities
1:08:01
uh and with a high level of like high level of Korean proficiency your chances
1:08:07
will be much much much higher so yeah as Aean said having a good proficiency in
1:08:14
Korean is essential I believe and also like take a really good look at global
1:08:22
Korean scholarships also another advice that I was searching for like cost of
1:08:28
living in South Korea for students uh one thing that people people keep uh
1:08:33
bringing up is uh like how much things can like food can get expensive if you
1:08:40
don't eat or like cook or eat Korean food because then you have to buy
1:08:45
everything like um you have to buy a lot of things that are not really all that available
1:08:52
everywhere like if you want to try to cook Egyptian food for example it's not like the ingredients blah blah blah it's
1:08:59
not they're not very um a available so they are a bit more expensive so I think
1:09:05
one thing that you might be like you might do is try to get acclimated to uh
1:09:11
Korean food so yeah Japan scholarship in general do you mean Japan government
1:09:19
scholarships uh I think I've sent that one didn't I or if you're looking for uh
1:09:25
scholarships like that we have in our database from Japan uh can
1:09:31
just Oh how did I fail that okay let's do this if this is what you're asking
1:09:39
for uh you know what let me share the max
1:09:45
next max next i think I did but
1:09:51
still okay if you're looking for general like all the scholarships in Japan you can just go to global scholarships and
1:09:59
type in Japan and do this basically Jack says "I have heard that Hungary government
1:10:05
provide two different government funded scholarships one of them is Hungary Stendium and another one is Hungary
1:10:12
government scholarships for international students is that true?" Uh hang on do we have Yeah the first one is
1:10:19
true i'm not sure if there's a second one uh and they're both
1:10:25
separated yeah yeah um the person like I'm pretty sure um hungry like
1:10:33
hungry i'm not sure if that's the name aean could you help me with this
1:10:39
um there's only one that it's the same one it's just
1:10:44
uh the name in uh Magar i think that's the language uh in Hungary uh yeah but
1:10:54
the second one is just the the translation it's like the Turkish uh scholarship where the name is slightly
1:11:01
different because sometimes the the Turkish name is is used yeah so I think
1:11:08
it's this one dependium hungarum
1:11:17
um yeah you can look into this we don't have a page for this specific
1:11:23
scholarship uh but you can get more information from here let's click on
1:11:29
about and so yeah tuition free education a monthly
1:11:35
stipent which is not extremely high uh €110 accommodation I guess i mean
1:11:43
obviously uh Hungary would be more affordable than a lot of other places in Europe so this is for bachelor's masters
1:11:50
and this is for doctoral yeah so uh this this one
1:11:58
there's one scholarship um fully funded scholarship for ba
1:12:05
bachelors um please fully funded so okay you can
1:12:11
see fully funded scholarships for bachelors through here go to globalcolarship.com hit enter right and
1:12:21
then choose full funding here and based on your degree if you're
1:12:28
looking for bachelor ones you can just go to here also another question as well
1:12:33
pretty much the same please share the scholarship that I can apply to go to September 2025 in physiootherapy the
1:12:41
therapy masters program so you can I'm going to share this link with you you can uh edit
1:12:50
filters the way it suits you uh you can
1:12:55
of course like you can choose the subject uh but usually subjects they do not
1:13:01
matter all that much for a lot of scholarships uh if the university offers that program you can apply through that
1:13:08
program uh yeah physical the therapy is
1:13:14
here um but a lot of these as you can see are all subjects so it means basically all
1:13:22
subjects that university offers and then you can of course choose uh currently
1:13:27
open from here um yeah that's pretty much all the
1:13:33
questions okay so we've seen the university scholarship here and we have external
1:13:39
scholarships as well uh the first one is Beijing government so we have two government scholarships here actually
1:13:45
not for Hungary but for this university we have one for BA from Beijing
1:13:50
government and the other is from Chinese government so Beijing government scholarship is offered by Beijing
1:13:57
government it's for all degrees all programs uh these universities basically
1:14:03
Chinese universities that are in Beijing of course it is full tuition is given by
1:14:09
the government scholarship amount as you can see is pretty much the same as the tuition fees so it covers tuition fees
1:14:17
and again these numbers are uh if you remember about the normal tuition fees
1:14:22
of these programs again eligibility criteria is pretty much the same non-chinese in good
1:14:30
health doctoral degree program like their age restriction uh 40 for doctoral 35 for masters and 30
1:14:40
for undergraduates language proficiency requirement cannot hold a Chinese government scholarship concurrently
1:14:47
pretty much the same for different scholarships as well uh you can click here to see the eligibility page and
1:14:54
then we have application requirements these are the forms and documents and you basically apply to an eligible
1:15:02
uh university the application procedures and required documents for Beijing
1:15:08
government scholarships may vary depending on your degree program nationality and other factors so yeah uh
1:15:15
so this is a scholarship that is a government scholarship but you apply to the university and your like a lot of
1:15:22
things kind of depend on the university basically you can click here to go and see their official page i think these
1:15:28
are the same pages yeah it's going to take a little while
1:15:33
to
1:15:42
upload okay uh let me see the question do I I do have an acceptance from Ithaca
1:15:48
College in on 50% tition fee waver but the other expenses make it still
1:15:53
expensive option to me uh what would do you recommend is it good idea to take the opportunity so it really really
1:16:00
depend on your financial situation um there are
1:16:06
like hang on let me see if we have anything about uh
1:16:14
Etha so I I want to see the tuitions so this is a small college in uh United
1:16:23
States there are three scholarships tuition fees are kind of
1:16:29
closer to higher end and if you get like 50% I believe you're offered uh this one
1:16:38
perhaps um no not not this one yeah I think probably this though uh
1:16:46
so yeah it is still very high and if you can get a Okay so here here's the thing
1:16:54
you would have to pay about like $25,000 every year for tuition and then
1:17:00
you would have to pay uh like your living expenses there too living
1:17:05
expenses in United States are not extremely high kind of depends on your
1:17:11
location but when you add like 50% of the tuition fee to that it will get very
1:17:18
expensive i I don't think I can say anything about whether it's a good idea for you to take it because it really
1:17:25
depends on your financial situation but for that amount of money like for way
1:17:32
more in a way more affordable way than that you can study in a lot of places a lot of other places like Europe uh like
1:17:39
in Asia perhaps like except for some very expensive places in Japan and
1:17:45
um China so I'm not sure if it's a really good idea but again I cannot comp
1:17:52
I cannot confidently say anything about that since it kind of depends on your financial situation uh Aean do you have
1:17:59
anything you want to say maybe you know something about the university or you have a general idea about the situation
1:18:08
i think you're right so basically that 50% would
1:18:13
uh cover way more than tuition in or way more than half the tuition in the other
1:18:21
countries so it would probably be worth it to invest that elsewhere
1:18:29
uh as far as your education is concerned of course um it wouldn't make sense
1:18:35
[Music] to to do it if you can't afford it and
1:18:42
even if you can I think uh it makes sense to go elsewhere
1:18:49
um unless like you are dead set on studying in United States like if you're
1:18:55
saying like doesn't matter uh maybe I I can even I can if I can barely afford it
1:19:00
I want to study in United States even then there are other places like maybe you can get better scholarships from
1:19:07
another university but uh if you don't have any kind of like determination for
1:19:14
studying in United States for example like let's look at picking university Beijing university um like it half of
1:19:22
that university's um tuition fee is more than what would it would cost you for
1:19:29
this university tuition living expenses accommodation pretty much everything even that would be probably half of the
1:19:36
half of the tuition fee you would pay in Ithaca so yeah sorry go ahead M
1:19:42
oh yeah so I was just going to make the point that since the university or the
1:19:48
college is uh in New York life or
1:19:54
uh just the expenses uh as far as just living in general
1:20:01
would be high and it wouldn't stop at half of the tuition fees there would be
1:20:08
a lot of fees involved yes uh from accommodation to just general living
1:20:14
expenses and that's why uh going to another country would make
1:20:19
way more sense and it would cost much less all right so um which country do you
1:20:26
think be best for commerce i think it kind of depends on your situation if you
1:20:32
can give us a little bit more information about yourself what do you want to do what do you want to uh like
1:20:39
is it bachelors is it uh graduate is it masters i don't think we we can like we
1:20:46
can say any specific we can name any specific country for commerce are you going to inform us who want to study in
1:20:53
Japan about other scholarships later in the future
1:20:59
um I'm I'm not I I'm not sure if I get this get that question yeah we're going
1:21:05
to make like we keep making videos about uh studying in Japan
1:21:11
um we do have videos every every Monday we share
1:21:18
um currently open scholarships videos on our YouTube channel uh that's one of our
1:21:25
more uh popular videos like video series and usually if there is a scholarship in
1:21:31
Japan that we haven't um mentioned in like last couple of weeks I try to
1:21:37
include them uh but by the way why do I not talk about this more often uh so if
1:21:45
you go to globalcolarships.com um we have in about us section we have a
1:21:52
newsletter sign up basically we have a newsletter that uh like that is sent to
1:21:58
your email uh about like news about latest like latest news about um
1:22:05
available scholarships scholarship that are open for application right now blah blah blah so yeah and also you get more
1:22:12
tailored information uh that is specifically for you for maybe your nationality maybe your subjects or
1:22:20
something uh you can go to here globalscolarships.com about us newsletter sign up and you can just
1:22:27
subscribe here it's free [Music]
1:22:32
um teaching assistant position you have an offer of teaching assistant position
1:22:41
um wait so hang on let me
1:22:47
see now
1:22:54
hm so is it this
1:22:59
one so assistantships in United States usually pay like tuition and then they
1:23:07
give you stipens as well uh do you have any specific information about that
1:23:13
teaching assistantships because I don't think teaching assistantships will give you just 50%
1:23:21
tuition fee discount i want to study abroad but not
1:23:26
financially well I want to pursue my bachelor's i like marketing and business
1:23:32
so does your website may show the application form for the university which does not have an application fee
1:23:38
or have waiverss um Udgar I'm going to tell you uh you
1:23:47
can go to our YouTube channel all right uh and type in like search for
1:23:53
application fee basically we have or free application we have two videos that
1:23:59
we made for free application universities one is for United States and the other is for uh
1:24:07
South Korea and under the videos like you can watch the videos and you can also find under the videos links for our
1:24:15
guides in United States there are a lot of universities that are like free free
1:24:22
application or there are some universities that will that might give you uh tuition uh application fee
1:24:30
wavers so you can find those uh there i mean we have just one like two uh guides
1:24:36
and you can see those from um your newsletter are also available or
1:24:44
LinkedIn uh or is only in your website so now uh you hang on you apply like you
1:24:52
subscribe to our newsletter through our website but newsletters come to your
1:24:58
email don't have to go to LinkedIn or anywhere else
1:25:04
i've heard you have to be good at a sport and do volunteer work and improve
1:25:09
your skills of course and recommendation letters uh I'm the person who asked yeah yeah i
1:25:17
uh I remember you i don't get this
1:25:23
question Marielle um I don't you have to get recommendation letters that is a
1:25:31
must like that is a requirement of uh of the scholarship
1:25:37
if I remember correctly it was one recommendation letter from uh like maybe
1:25:43
a a a former supervisor or a teacher you don't have to have done volunteering
1:25:49
work that's not a specific requirement or you have to be good at sports uh I think like there might be if if you you
1:25:56
you basically give them information about your volunteering work that you have done before um or like if you have
1:26:03
an award you can like sports or medal or something like that you will give them your information and they might consider
1:26:10
that but you don't have to have those to be able to apply to this scholarship but recommendation letters you have to have
1:26:17
um Rabia says 50% of teaching assistantships typically covering hardly my tuition fee
1:26:25
I see is it this one so I think are you talking about this
1:26:31
on so hang on let me see the actual scholarship page from the
1:26:38
university we by the way uh I I thought you were talking about
1:26:46
bachelors if you're if you're talking about like graduate assistantships or like if you're graduate programs um
1:26:53
there might be a lot of other opportunities that you could find also
1:27:00
hm hang on how do you get how did you get the teaching assistantship because
1:27:05
to be able to apply to teaching assistantships you have to have applied and be admitted to the university as a
1:27:12
graduate student um okay country or is that not
1:27:18
necessary sorry sorry hang on that was another question no masters um Aean what do you think about this uh so they have
1:27:25
a teaching assistantship stipent which gives you a stipent and covers some of
1:27:32
your uh tuition but also I I don't know uh like
1:27:40
didn't you have to like be admitted to the university to be able to apply for
1:27:45
teaching assistantships or any assistantships basically or by the way do you also want
1:27:52
to change your answer about their situation since like they're apparently
1:27:59
talking about masters
1:28:04
um yeah I mean it would be the same but I think once you get admitted uh you're
1:28:11
sometimes offered the teaching assistantship and they are admitted with a scholarship and I think in their
1:28:18
offered letter they were also uh given the option of taking the teaching
1:28:24
assistantship uh position um yeah so while I think it
1:28:31
covers so as they said most of their tuition
1:28:36
[Music] um I would probably say at this point it
1:28:43
would be worth it since uh there's a work position plus a 50% of
1:28:50
the uh of the tuition so they they would only need to
1:28:57
uh cover their living expenses which would be pretty expensive given that
1:29:02
it's New York uh but if you can afford it I would say go for it uh this is uh
1:29:10
pretty much as good as it gets um since you're applying for a
1:29:16
graduate degree so it's not even an undergraduate degree as we thought it at the beginning
1:29:23
and um it would be much much worth it than
1:29:30
we initially thought when it was only 50% a 50% scholarship as an
1:29:35
undergraduate uh student that wouldn't have been worth it but as a graduate student you are offered 50% plus
1:29:44
uh a teaching position uh if you can afford the rest uh I think it it's worth
1:29:51
it if not try probably going for external funding there are external
1:29:56
scholarships uh that uh you can apply for including
1:30:02
uh our uh scholarship the global scholarship $3,000 scholarship
1:30:11
and I'm sure that there are so many out there that you can apply for
1:30:17
all right thank you um by the way Utkosh I've shared just now shared the link it
1:30:23
is to our guide like this is our general guide for global universities with no
1:30:28
application fees you can look at that as well um
1:30:35
okay so all right marielle Marielle says country oh
1:30:42
wait okay country or is that not necessary
1:30:48
um you said being good at the language like topic five or something already
1:30:53
secures your spot i know no uh we didn't say that we did not say being good at
1:31:02
language like topic five or something like that secures your spot for 100%
1:31:08
scholarship that that is not something we said right aon can you also confirm that we did not
1:31:16
absolutely say that i mean I mean yeah what I said is that it improves your
1:31:21
chances puts you in the top 1% of applicants it's not 100% guarantee but
1:31:30
it's as good as it gets also I'm sorry go ahead i think what uh
1:31:37
they're trying to ask is that uh in addition to language and uh academics
1:31:45
how important are extracurriculars which are quite
1:31:52
important probably for certain scholarships it just depends it's
1:31:57
uh a scholarship by scholarship kind of thing uh there are scholarships that are really really
1:32:04
um adamant on leadership skills on your
1:32:09
contribution to your community your involvement in general uh and these are
1:32:16
scholarships whose um objectives and goals are aligned with
1:32:22
that and there are scholarships that are mainly about uh academics mainly about
1:32:28
cultural exchange rather than uh you as a person as a leader although they take
1:32:36
that into account but there is not as much emphasis as other scholarships and
1:32:43
uh I think the global Korea scholarship is more about merit is more about uh
1:32:49
being interested in the Korean culture than it is about uh your
1:32:55
extracurriculars i didn't see any part of the scholarship that really
1:33:02
uh is looking for that i think the only
1:33:08
uh portion where this would matter is your essay and in your essay probably
1:33:14
any extracurriculars you have been involved in would uh need to revolve
1:33:21
around the program you're applying to so it just adds to your competence rather
1:33:28
than your general involvement in a community uh or just how you are as a
1:33:35
leader in general um okay thank you thank you very much
1:33:42
so Kushbo yeah you are the one who talked for uh scholarships for theater
1:33:49
so I shared the link with you and this is our search tool uh search tools results for theater uh keep in mind that
1:33:56
this is uh like it first gives you scholarships that uh specifically
1:34:02
mention theater mentions theater uh but then it is uh it will give you spec it
1:34:08
will give you scholarships for all subjects that means all subjects uh in
1:34:14
that university so like if the university offers theater most scholarships don't care about the
1:34:19
subjects if as if it's a subject that is offered by the university you can apply to the scholarship with that subject so
1:34:25
yeah look into these but these are like specific ones for example this is uh in
1:34:31
United States Vanguard University of Southern California theater it's partial funding you can look into those so
1:34:38
Mariel yeah um yeah as Aean said so one thing that
1:34:43
is I believe there are a lot of topic scholarships in uh Korea and unlike
1:34:49
global like government scholarships I think they are guaranteed basically they're like
1:34:56
they're called topic scholarships topic scholarships and for example they give you if you have a topic level of uh two
1:35:04
let's say they give you a 40% um tuition reduction
1:35:09
Right hang on actually let me see if I can find one of those so um so yeah for example this one
1:35:19
graduate topic scholarships right yeah as you can see this one so
1:35:25
basically these are kind of guaranteed I believe uh so if you have that specific topic level you will most certainly get
1:35:32
that uh reduction like tuition discount right amen am I like correct me if I'm
1:35:38
wrong with this one i know you're right
1:35:43
i'm sorry i said you're right right yeah uh so maybe like I wouldn't want you to
1:35:51
confuse this one with those but I do believe as Aean said like if you have very high uh level have have a very high
1:36:00
level of uh proficiency in Korean it will I think it's it's a great thing to
1:36:05
invest in because like unlike just trying your best to win a
1:36:12
scholarship an investment to a language will help you like it will ne never go away it will just be there and it will
1:36:20
be it will make it easier for you to get other scholarships if you cannot get the government scholarship it will give get
1:36:26
you um like tuition discounts yeah yeah i get it i I I just
1:36:31
didn't want you to confuse that with those ones also obviously it will make it much much easier for you if you're
1:36:38
looking for like if you're going to go and look for maybe part-time jobs etc so yeah I think uh Aan is right in saying
1:36:46
like the best thing to do is just like uh study like trying to study the
1:36:52
language learn the language and do some more of that same thing like study the language and then keep studying the
1:36:59
language so yeah um yeah Beijing government scholarship
1:37:05
the page is finally uh loaded it's pretty much the same information actually uh like gives you categories of
1:37:12
applicants uh criteria and eligibility again pretty much the same things I said
1:37:17
um yeah it is quite straightforward it gives you um tution fee like 100% tition fee
1:37:26
reduction uh if you get this I mean if you're going one thing to keep in mind
1:37:32
is that like usually uh Beijing is more expensive than other
1:37:38
places in China so like your living costs may be a bit higher than you would
1:37:44
get in other cities and so yeah this covers your tuition fees but you would
1:37:50
have to keep in mind that like in Beijing your living costs will also be higher than other places in China of
1:37:57
course it will be way more affordable than a lot of other places in other countries so um we have another Chinese
1:38:06
government scholarship here uh this is given by the Chinese government not Beijing government this is up to full
1:38:12
tuition so up to full funding uh so this is for bachelor's masters and PhD it is
1:38:18
partial funding but it can cover up to full t full funding I believe um so it
1:38:25
kind of deadlines varies by institution these are the ones these are the universities that are eligible for this
1:38:32
scholarship boy a lot of universities in there okay so yeah basically it covers tuition fees it
1:38:39
covers accommodation fees it covers uh a certain level of stipent um for
1:38:45
undergraduates masters and PhD students and your medical insurance uh the lower side of this might not be enough to
1:38:53
cover your living expenses hang on it does because it also covers accommodations as well so yeah it
1:39:01
covers tuition fees it covers accommodation fees it covers um a living
1:39:06
stipent and this is the same pretty much the same eligibility criteria an international student in
1:39:13
good health pass the HSK basically this is the Chinese proficiency test sorry age uh meet this
1:39:23
specific university's eligibility criteria of course and these are the requirements application requirements
1:39:28
like application forms can copy transcripts blah blah blah and the
1:39:34
application procedure is to contact the designated university contact an authorized application receiving agency
1:39:40
or complete and submit the application form for Chinese government scholarship
1:39:45
so yeah deadlines again as I said again I cannot stress this enough uh our
1:39:51
comment sections are in my opinion the best place to find uh answers for your
1:39:58
specific questions uh you can leave them here and Hani who is the founder of global scholarships he answers every
1:40:05
single question i don't know how he finds time to do that but he answer answers every single question so leave
1:40:12
them here we have the comment section for every page we have like university pages scholarship pages blah blah blah
1:40:19
and then you can click here to go and see the official scholarship page from the uh
1:40:25
government so basically these are different uh programs to get the same government
1:40:32
scholarship uh you can look into at this i think this is the one that we've seen so basically you go and apply to the
1:40:39
university and it's pretty much the same information here um scholarship
1:40:45
coverage aean what do you why do you think this is um categorized as a partial funding
1:40:54
scholarship because it covers tuition fees i don't like there is no uh maybe
1:40:59
you will get one or other it looks like a full funding
1:41:06
scholarship we have application pro process here application documents here
1:41:11
you can read these in uh detail and also you can contact uh by here based on your
1:41:21
location so yeah this is the Chinese government scholarship uh Ammon
1:41:29
yeah sorry no I was check I was checking it okay yeah you're right it's just
1:41:36
Yeah it's the default the default uh tab when choosing the scholarship category
1:41:42
is always have partial scholarships i see that's why sometimes this happens
1:41:48
yeah these are kind of recently edit yeah yeah uh it's updating so it should be
1:41:56
updated see for now it's partial okay uh there
1:42:05
there's Sorry go ahead is it partial it should say if you refresh it it should
1:42:11
say full funding um yeah now it's it's turned default
1:42:17
funding yes yeah okay there's also uh one more external scholarship uh this is
1:42:24
the last one um globalcolarships.com $3,000 scholarships for international
1:42:30
students this is given by globalcolarships.com this is given by basically our platform uh so yeah this
1:42:38
you can get more information from here i'm going to share the link with you uh since this is basically our scholarship
1:42:45
uh like eligibility criteria is here scholarship details is here what we look
1:42:51
for blah blah like you would it would be better if you could go and basically as
1:42:57
you can see there are like hund like 50 questions and 50 answers here you can get more information directly and more
1:43:05
uh reliably from our page so yeah these are the external scholarships that we we
1:43:11
have had for this university as you can see peaking university um not that many
1:43:16
scholarships but all the scholarships are very um very comprehensive and very generous
1:43:22
scholarships china has some great scholarships uh it is kind of overlooked ammon uh what would you want
1:43:30
to say to you know conclude the whole um all the scholarships in picking
1:43:36
university section um so Beckin University
1:43:43
is as you mentioned at the beginning one of the best universities in the world i
1:43:49
think by QS world ranking it's 14th uh right now which is a very very high
1:43:57
ranking and uh given the AI and how
1:44:03
rapidly it's developing and uh with how deepsek
1:44:10
uh just came out of nowhere to put Chinese universities
1:44:16
um out there i think uh studying in China is now one of the best options
1:44:23
that international students uh could go for not only because
1:44:29
uh universities are affordable life is also affordable and uh universities like
1:44:36
Beckin although very very selective they offer a lot of generous
1:44:43
scholarships uh be it uh funded scholarships by the
1:44:50
university itself or by the Chinese government um I like that the
1:44:57
scholarships are always multi-tiered giving students uh equal chances of getting scholarships
1:45:05
but also giving them uh a fair compensation uh depending on their
1:45:12
academic achievements uh just a full tuition scholarship would
1:45:17
be really really good enough uh given that you'd only
1:45:23
be covering a fraction of what would what you would be uh doing for another
1:45:30
country so uh studying in China
1:45:36
is probably now on par with
1:45:42
studying anywhere else and uh add a much much
1:45:54
uh value uh to quality of education
1:46:00
uh as you can Yeah so I I would definitely consider uh study in China if
1:46:07
I were to do it all over again uh study an undergraduate degree or a master's
1:46:12
degree it would be one of the top choices for me
1:46:18
okay thanks um so Dior asks "If you don't have an ILTS
1:46:27
certificate but your school grades are excellent are there universities that can win grand prizes?" So I'm assuming
1:46:35
that you are talking about United like American universities
1:46:42
so um I don't think there are any
1:46:47
universities in the United States that uh accepts students without any um
1:46:54
English proficiency proof but like if you're specifically asking for ILts of course there are
1:47:00
other uh uh language proficiency tests as well one thing that like that is kind
1:47:07
of different to ILts that some there are some universities that offer that accept
1:47:12
um Dolingo English test so that those might be something that something that
1:47:17
you might be those are something that you might be interested in if you are asking
1:47:23
for country like universities outside of United States of course that changes
1:47:29
pretty much everything um because obviously there are uh universities that
1:47:35
will accept other languages than uh United English so yeah
1:47:42
um Mariel says "If you're not an English speaker I don't think you can get scholarship at an English-sp speakaking
1:47:49
country." Yeah uh if you don't have this unless your program is not in English
1:47:54
but I have no information of any program in
1:48:00
an English-sp speakaking country that you can apply to uh without any English
1:48:07
proficiency um Ammon do you know anything about like anything like that
1:48:14
um yeah so while scholarships themselves don't have such requirements being
1:48:22
admitted at the university is uh the issue so all universities would
1:48:28
have a certain score that you need to meet in order to be admitted of course there are a few exceptions uh students
1:48:35
who are considered to be from countries where English is uh a native language so
1:48:42
even though it's not the main language but if it's an official language uh they are considered to be native speakers
1:48:48
like for example students from Nigeria are often exempted from the ILS exam
1:48:54
because uh English is a second and official language in the country and people start learning it at a young age
1:49:02
so they are considered to be native speakers uh you can also provide true if uh your
1:49:11
previous education was completely in English before so if you uh studied in
1:49:16
high school like fully in English or an undergraduate degree fully in English
1:49:22
you can get a certificate from uh your uh institution to submit it and that
1:49:28
would count as uh proof of proficiency other than that
1:49:34
there's no way around sitting for the English proficiency exams be it eyelets TOEFL
1:49:42
uh or Dualingo or any equivalent for that matter uh if you're going for an
1:49:49
English program uh for non-English top programs of course uh the requirements
1:49:55
depend on what language uh the program is taught in
1:50:01
okay thank you um so yeah Kushbo it's pretty much the same with theater you
1:50:07
you ask for theater it's pretty much the same for um fashion designer if the
1:50:13
university offers the program usually you can apply to their scholarships with that program uh so Nippon Mishkra says
1:50:20
"I'm from India in class 12 this year i want to do bachelors in Japan please help me." So uh we're gonna kind of
1:50:27
we're about to end um help um you're very welcome so we are
1:50:34
about to end the live stream nippon but we have first of all let me share this
1:50:39
link with you this uh is the this is our like country guide for Japan basically
1:50:46

1:50:51
like higher education pros and cons uh best English universities best
1:50:56
universities in Japan high employee rates best programs to study how to apply to universities documents and
1:51:04
tests blah blah blah language proficiency financing like how to study

1:51:15
videos as well on our YouTube channel go and watch those uh like how to study in
1:51:20
Japan for free um I think we we we made a lot like medical schools in Japan uh
1:51:27
we have made a lot of uh tutorials on how to apply to universities in Japan uh
1:51:33
I'm pretty sure we made a video about finding scholarships uh in Japan through
1:51:39
our website like how to find scholarships in Japan i think that was the title so there are a lot of stuff
1:51:46
like we're about to end the live stream here uh but there are there's a lot of stuff that on our page uh here in the
1:51:54
link that I've given you also on our YouTube channel just like go to our videos and search for Japan basically
1:52:01
that will give you a lot of information a lot of videos about studying in Japan and then if you have any specific

1:52:20
them down and next Friday you can come and ask your specific questions your
1:52:26
question is a little bit way vague like it's a broad subject
1:52:32
uh so if you have any specific things uh that might be better like we might be better help you better able to help you
1:52:39
uh hi Joel It's great to see you here but we're about to end the live stream so everyone again we do this every
