so online programs and online degrees
0:02
are something uh that like we have
0:05
information on AS Global schoolers ships
0:09
um as you can see like we have our
0:11
guides
0:13
um let me show you so
0:17
like basically this is what we're going
0:19
to talk about
0:21
today um but the thing is like I'm not I
0:24
do not create like a lot of content on
0:27
this because I'm not really sure whether
0:29
you are very interested in uh like
0:31
online degrees like and online
0:33
bachelor's programs Etc so I'm trying to
0:35
see like whether our audience is um
0:38
interested like if you're interested
0:39
I'll do a lot more uh create a lot more
0:42
content on this subject so basically um
0:47
Aman would you like to start off with
0:49
like uh maybe giving us a little bit
0:51
information um about in general like
0:54
online degrees pros and cons like for
0:57
example what's the difference between an
0:58
online uh
1:00
like like an online degree and an online
1:03
course um like or your personal
1:07
thoughts um yeah so as far as online
1:12
degrees are concerned in general
1:15
provided that you're pursuing them at an
1:18
accredited
1:20
University um or a traditional
1:23
University that offers online degrees
1:25
you'll receive the same degree as
1:28
everyone so basically people who
1:30
attended the university and people who
1:32
uh had the online courses will receive
1:35
the exact same degree yours won't say
1:37
was online it will just say bachelor's
1:40
degree so that's that's a big uh Plus
1:43
for people who probably can't afford to
1:47
travel to another country uh people who
1:49
have jobs in their home countries and
1:53
don't really want to leave uh it's a
1:56
great option so you basically get the
1:58
exact same education the exact same
2:00
degree and uh without having to go there
2:04
uh many students are mainly interested
2:09
in the degree itself rather than the
2:11
experience or the university experience
2:13
they would get yeah um going abroad and
2:17
it's a personal choice and I think it it
2:19
works for a lot of people who just
2:23
either don't have the means or their
2:26
situation doesn't allow them to travel
2:28
to another country
2:30
um when you apply for jobs you have the
2:35
exact same chances as anyone who had
2:38
attended that University in person so
2:42
online degrees in general are are good
2:45
they're more often than not
2:47
cheaper and the only thing you're
2:50
missing out on is just being in that
2:53
country and just being with people in a
2:56
classroom other than that it's basically
2:59
Co
3:00
Co times where people are studying at
3:02
home and uh you're getting that degree
3:06
yeah so this is in general about online
3:09
degrees um the thing is not many
3:13
countries offer uh online degrees or not
3:17
many universities uh do I think most of
3:20
them are in the United States maybe
3:22
parts of Europe and the UK but just from
3:26
general research I did um a university
3:29
in Asia don't do as many uh online
3:33
degrees especially Japan and uh South
3:37
Korea um they did online degrees in
3:42
during Co times but uh the moment the
3:47
the the restrictions were were lifted on
3:50
being outside uh they resumed offline
3:54
degrees exclusively I think we've
3:56
answered all the questions at this point
3:59
um now back to um online bachelor's
4:02
degrees in USA we're going to see a
4:04
couple of these um now in United States
4:07
some of these can be still very
4:09
expensive um like it could for example
4:13
in some of these universities uh like
4:16
let's see University of Florida online
4:18
program
4:20
right so University of Florida has a lot
4:23
of programs for um online
4:26
education uh like all of these are
4:29
available
4:30
um and then you have like tuition fees
4:32
how to apply the questions you can see
4:35
here you can click here to go and see
4:36
the tuition fees which again um for
4:40
example like first of all there's a huge
4:42
difference between uh how much like
4:45
domestic domestic students pay for
4:47
tuition and how much uh non-domestic
4:50
ones pay which is odd considering you
4:54
know um it's an online course um so yeah
4:57
it can it can get very expens expensive
5:00
uh when you have but when you need to
5:02
get like
5:03
120 um credits
5:06
so for example we can just out of state
5:10
uh for example if we
5:12
say yeah that can get a very high very
5:18
high very fast um like at some point I
5:21
believe in some for some universities in
5:23
United States even online degrees um can
5:27
like tuition fees can go up to a point
5:28
where a it would be more affordable to
5:32
go to a European country and stay there
5:34
for 4 years and study uh like a normal
5:39
program non-online program in person
5:42
like uh some of these tuition fees are
5:44
like $220,000 30 like even up to
5:47
$30,000 um for online programs but there
5:51
is one thing uh and aan I would like to
5:55
ask for your opinion like what do you
5:57
know about this one this this is
5:58
something that I came across
6:00
while kind of doing research on this
6:02
subject um I've heard there are quite a
6:05
number of universities that accept uh
6:07
like third- party credits for example
6:10
maybe you got a you got an information
6:12
you got sorry you got a a course you got
6:15
um education on some uh institution
6:18
maybe you um you've got like some of the
6:21
courses in your country in your
6:24
University and some you have some
6:26
credits you can use those credits to um
6:29
like
6:30
go and say okay I've got these credits
6:32
for these lecture these courses uh so I
6:35
don't have to have them uh and then like
6:38
you can finish your like you can get
6:40
your online bachelor's degree from this
6:43
University or like universities that
6:44
accept other like third party credits uh
6:47
way way cheaper and way F faster uh like
6:52
maybe less less than two years and like
6:55
maybe less than $5,000 uh dollar for
6:58
some American ities um like based on how
7:01
much credit you already have um for
7:03
example do you have any information on
7:08
that um yeah it is possible um provided
7:13
that your first University is accredited
7:17
you can transfer credit and just finish
7:22
your uh remaining credits online is is
7:26
definitely something that a lot of
7:28
people do especially especially people
7:30
who have stopped studying for a few
7:33
years and they just won their degree and
7:36
they need a few credits um some
7:38
universities accept that others don't it
7:41
just uh it's a a person by person or
7:44
situation situational thing but it is
7:48
definitely an option so one thing to
7:51
note about accreditation is that if you
7:55
want to pursue an online degree you need
7:57
to make sure that the university you're
7:59
at sending is accredited or otherwise
8:01
your degree will mean
8:03
nothing uh it is generally advised to go
8:07
for universities that are traditional
8:09
and that offer online degrees rather
8:12
than universities that are 100% online
8:17
MH although some of those are way more
8:20
affordable and are accredited so you
8:23
just have to do your due diligence
8:24
before enrolling in any degree because
8:27
right now if you just look for online
8:30
bachelor's degree and there are a lot of
8:33
ads there are a lot of universities that
8:36
are that don't have any
8:38
accreditation and they're just offering
8:40
the degrees when it they really don't
8:43
mean anything so you just have to be
8:45
careful of that yeah okay thank you very
8:48
much again guys U like even online
8:52
bachelor's degrees can get really really
8:55
um expensive in terms of tuition fees
8:58
obviously in terms of tuition fees um
9:01
like if you're maybe really decided on
9:06
just like having a bachelor's degree
9:07
from from an American University that
9:10
might be a good idea uh but again it
9:12
will be very expensive unless you do
9:15
some uh like work um before maybe going
9:19
like again having some credit and then
9:21
transferring those uh for example we
9:24
have as as a second University we have
9:26
University of Illinois at Urban
9:27
champagne uh we can go and see this I'm
9:31
going to I'm going to leave the link
9:33
here uh in the description or uh hang on
9:38
or the comment section now a lot of
9:40
universities don't offer that many
9:43
programs um for online degrees and like
9:47
there are a lot of online courses that
9:49
some universities offer but um not that
9:52
many degrees for example as you can see
9:54
we have a lot of degrees a lot of
9:56
programs uh bachelor's programs in uh
10:00
University of Florida not so many in
10:02
Illinois so you can look into these you
10:05
can click here and you'll see like
10:07
online courses here and online programs
10:10
here and not that many are like um
10:14
available for online Bachelors so other
10:17
than that um we have University of South
10:20
Carolina again a lot of these
10:22
universities you'll find that are like
10:25
universities that give non-online
10:27
degrees as well those are the the ones
10:29
that apparently uh we selected for our
10:34
um list there are other universities of
10:36
course um that you might want to look
10:39
into so for example here University of
10:41
South Carolina we have Bachelor Bachelor
10:43
of Science in integrated Information
10:46
Technology um can get more information
10:49
usually tuition fees tuition fees are
10:52
not uh they don't put those in
10:56
very in places very easy to find
11:00
um for example where's this
11:05
um I I remember finding this one but
11:08
it's very very somewhere very um
11:11
difficult to find so yeah you can uh I'm
11:14
going to leave the link for this one in
11:16
the description and you can look at
11:18
other universities as well we have
11:20
University of Central
11:23
Florida again like usually these are
11:25
very like normal traditional
11:27
universities um if you want to go there
11:30
and study in this University and get a
11:31
bachelor's degree you'll have to pay
11:33
like tens of thousands of dollars every
11:35
year for tuition fee and then also have
11:37
to live there admittedly they're not
11:40
very like they're not places that are
11:42
very um expensive usually we have uh
11:46
online bachelor's programs uh psychology
11:49
anthropology criminal justice like for
11:51
example psychology I believe might be
11:53
very um interesting for a lot of
11:56
people again like this is about $180 for
12:01
in state for out of state it's about
12:03
like 800 like 700 800 so yeah it can get
12:07
very
12:08
expensive as I said there are um
12:12
shortcuts so and then the last one is
12:15
Purdue
12:16
University which you can just also I
12:19
think click here and go to see like
12:22
their normal Tu fees are about like
12:25
$30,000 uh 20 if you want to do Masters
12:29
so we have online programs of study
12:34
tuition fees and payments
12:36
here again like the usually a lot of
12:39
universities have a lot of other types
12:41
of courses uh but not that many uh
12:44
actual Bachelor degrees
