hi everyone it's Global scholarships and
0:01
I'm your host as I hope you're all doing
0:03
well I hope everything is going great
0:05
and today we're going to see every
0:07
single scholarship at Yonce University
0:09
now don't get confused uh this is just
0:12
like these are five scholarships that
0:14
are offered by the university to
0:16
International students there are other
0:17
scholarships as well obviously there are
0:20
scholarships that the university offers
0:22
to domestic students there are
0:24
scholarships that are offered by
0:25
institutions government for example um
0:28
one of the most popular government
0:29
scholarships that there is um actually
0:32
kind of belongs to um South Korea
0:36
Government so basically if you want to
0:38
learn more about that you can just go to
0:40
Global scholarships.com under the
0:41
scholarship section you can just like we
0:44
have popular government scholarships
0:46
click on view all and we have 15 best
0:49
government scholarships for
0:50
international students so as you can see
0:53
we have the those here like USA Canada
0:55
Germany etc etc and then in South Korea
0:58
we have um global Korea scholarships
1:00
these are um government
1:02
scholarships so there are other
1:05
institutions as well uh so keep that in
1:07
mind but these are the ones that are
1:09
offered by the on University by the
1:11
university to International students
1:14
also if you want to get even more
1:16
information like okay um we'll see about
1:18
the scholarships but like if you're
1:20
saying how can I get information that's
1:22
not just like on a website that is like
1:25
official information how can I get more
1:27
insights um Global scholarships have
1:29
something has something that is
1:31
incredible in my opinion so if you go to
1:34
Global scholarship.com right now under
1:36
the resources section we have
1:38
scholarship stories so we have
1:40
scholarship stories by country you can
1:42
just click on view all here too and then
1:45
search by country let's say South Korea
1:49
now what scholarship success stories is
1:53
is basically Global scholarships um
1:55
reaches out and finds uh scholarship
1:58
recipients recipients of very popular
2:00
scholarships and like gets their stories
2:03
and like share those with other people
2:06
people who want to find scholarships etc
2:09
etc so you can go as you can see we have
2:11
a lot of people here and new people are
2:13
being added new recipients are being
2:15
added all the time so you can just go
2:18
and in the
2:20
country search for South Korea right so
2:23
these people are the ones hang on yeah
2:27
uh you can click on any of those any of
2:29
these people
2:30
uh for example let's say Christina Yuma
2:33
I believe um they're from they're
2:35
Filipino actually so you can like read
2:39
about their story read about their
2:41
Journey like scholarship details which
2:43
is global career scholarship um diploma
2:46
educational background how did they
2:48
prepare how did they prepare for the
2:51
University or the scholarship like what
2:53
uh they have have done differently what
2:55
advice would they give etc etc so if you
2:58
want to find Scholarships in South Korea
3:00
I think this is a great great way to get
3:02
more information directly from people
3:04
who um got the scholarship so um how do
3:08
we find what scholarships we have in
3:11
Yonce basically you go and type in Yonce
3:14
that's it that's pretty much it um we
3:16
have a page for the university for every
3:19
um university that we have in our
3:21
database we have a page and like as you
3:23
can see this is just basic information
3:26
location population number of
3:28
scholarships five scholarships we're
3:30
going to see each of them and we have
3:32
like admission information application
3:34
deadlines and tuition which is about
3:37
like
3:37
5,000 like 11
3:41
12,000 um usually that's the range in
3:44
South Korea you don't you don't get like
3:47
$30,000
3:48
$40,000 um tutions as you would in
3:52
United
3:53
States now this is for Yonce but like in
3:56
last month we've done pretty much the
3:58
same for uh Soul National University and
4:01
Korea University these are the sky
4:03
universities um so if you're interested
4:05
in those if I do know that a lot of you
4:08
are interested in studying in South
4:09
Korea so yeah these are some of the best
4:12
universities in South
4:14
Korea um so if you want to see where the
4:17
university is and what it looks like we
4:19
can do that
4:21
here so this it's basically in
4:25
Soul which is kind of an expensive place
4:28
uh usually in some South Korea if you
4:30
want to study in South Korea um tuition
4:32
fees are not extremely uh restricting
4:35
but like financially restricting but uh
4:38
living costs are quite something so yeah
4:41
this is the University it's one of the
4:43
best universities in South Korea uh it's
4:46
one of the better universities in the
4:47
world um yeah this is the University so
4:51
let's see the scholarships shall we now
4:53
you can click on scholarships to go to
4:55
the scholarship section we have five
4:57
scholarships today and one of them is
5:00
undergraduates and uh four of them are
5:02
for graduates one graduate students so
5:06
um the first one is undergraduate
5:07
International College admission
5:09
scholarship you can just click on this
5:11
one to go to the page for that
5:13
scholarship as you can see it's for
5:15
Bachelors spe no specific nationalities
5:18
no specific subjects and this is full
5:21
tution
5:22
um we're going to see that in a in more
5:25
detail in a second of course now the
5:27
deadline is passed
5:29
um at this point like when I'm making
5:32
this video but like if you're watching
5:33
this after a year less than after a year
5:36
Pro like perhaps it's um the deadlines
5:39
are not passed yet so um we have like it
5:43
covers 100% of tuition fees that's what
5:46
full tution means uh we have the
5:48
coverage here we have some eligibility
5:50
criteria you have to be um academically
5:53
outstanding um we have the deadlines
5:56
here and pretty much every not pretty
5:59
much every page page we have has um
6:01
these comment section sections uh so if
6:04
you have any questions about that
6:06
specific scholarship about that
6:08
specific uh University you can just
6:10
leave your questions in the comment
6:12
section and hian Lee who is the founder
6:14
of global scholarships answers them for
6:16
you so you can click here official
6:19
scholarship page to go and see the
6:21
scholarship from the University now um
6:24
the university does not have okay for
6:26
this one they have so yeah this is the
6:30
one newly admitted International
6:32
students to UIC full tuition for four
6:35
years International students applying
6:37
for UIC will be automatically considered
6:39
as scholarship candidates as you can see
6:41
there are others as well um there are
6:43
also scholarships that are international
6:46
that are also for international students
6:48
um but they're not for new like they're
6:51
um they are for existing students so
6:54
like these currently enrolled currently
6:57
enrolled they have Merit based and need
7:00
based scholarships so yeah this is like
7:02
if you are um an undergraduate student
7:05
the best you can hope for is just full
7:08
tution um which unfortunately probably
7:11
will not be um the majority of your um
7:16
Financial expenses like financial burden
7:19
that you have because tuition is not
7:21
very high uh but I'm going to actually
7:24
let's see nambo to see how much it would
7:27
cost to live in South Korea uh
7:31
Soul it is kind of
7:34
expensive
7:36
um wait where am I yeah here it is
7:41
soul so it's about like um hang on let's
7:46
turn it to
7:48
USD yeah so it's about like ,00
7:52
$1,200 without rent but for a for a
7:55
university student it would be pretty
7:57
much the same with rent rent it's about
8:00
like $1,100 with rent um so yeah that
8:03
would pretty much be your main um
8:06
concern to cover and then we have um the
8:10
scholarships for graduate students so
8:13
the first one is full-time graduate
8:15
student scholarship at The Graduate
8:17
School of Medicine now for um graduate
8:21
scholarships hang on actually let's
8:24
first let's go through the basics and
8:26
this is for Masters and phds full to
8:30
it's more than full tuition for some
8:31
people actually U medic for for medicine
8:35
no specific M
8:37
nationalities um April
8:39
16 we have admission deadline and
8:42
scholarship
8:43
deadline
8:46
so full entrance fee and tuition fees
8:48
for four semesters so it covers like
8:51
that is what full tuition means but it
8:54
gives a little bit more like living
8:56
stiens to some people if uh you you got
8:59
over um
9:02
830 I think this is pronounced TW I'll
9:06
call it I will call it TW or higher uh
9:09
that's Bas it's basically like a kind of
9:12
proficiency English proficiency test
9:15
that kind of um that kind of measures
9:19
how good you are in English um in terms
9:22
of like conversational
9:24
skills uh or equivalent in other
9:26
proficiency tests they actually give you
9:28
those equivalent um scores two living
9:32
expenses will only be given to students
9:33
enrolled in the department of biomedical
9:35
science so we have some um eligibility
9:40
criteria here we'll see that um we have
9:43
the application procedure again the
9:45
comment section now if you click here
9:48
they don't have separate pages for um
9:51
these scholarships so we're going to
9:53
have to go and find them in some of
9:56
these like admissions guidelines
9:59
so I think it was this one scholarship
10:03
department of medicine at
10:06
Wu or was it in these ones one of these
10:11
ones okay let's see no here it is here
10:14
it is okay um yeah graduate full-time
10:18
graduate student scholarship Yonce
10:22
University medicine right so this is the
10:26
scholarship as you can see it's about an
10:28
to
10:29
830 or higher you get living
10:34
expense um hang on yeah so these are the
10:40
um these are the equivalents tol IBT and
10:43
ilts
10:46
equivalents yeah these are the ones
10:49
full-time International students are
10:51
required at least one okay living
10:54
expenses will be provided only to
10:55
students enroll pretty much the same and
10:59
so basically
11:01
for for first four semesters you get
11:05
full tuition and then you get about like
11:08
now um if you get living expense like
11:11
living sent even for Fifth and seven
11:15
fifth and sixth uh semester you still
11:17
get the living expense you just pay some
11:19
of the tuition fee so yeah it's pretty
11:22
much for pretty much the same for
11:25
joint um doctoral land Master but you
11:28
don't get get it for Masters
11:31
though it's just the tuition fee and the
11:33
entrance fee so yeah that's pretty much
11:36
it like you can you can get more
11:38
information about scholarship return
11:41
withal um supplementaries etc etc
11:46
um yeah application submit full-time
11:50
application to Department of research
11:52
and graduate Affairs during admissions
11:54
period um yeah that's pretty much it
11:58
this is this first scholarship for
11:59
graduates um it is good like if you are
12:03
doing your Masters planning to do your
12:05
Masters here it only covers your tuition
12:08
uh but if you are doing planning to do
12:10
your PhD here uh in Department of
12:13
biomedical science it gives you living
12:15
sement how much is that living sement
12:17
doesn't say
12:20
um but for PhD is usually it's something
12:23
that you probably would be able to live
12:25
on um usually universities uh give
12:28
something like
12:30
that and we have okay the second one
12:34
that we have for graduates is mar wanu
12:37
campus outstanding forign student
12:38
scholarship let's click on
12:41
that so this is for Masters and phds
12:45
full tuition all nationalities and all
12:47
subjects again it says full tuition but
12:49
it it gives
12:52
you dormatory fee entrance fee and 50%
12:56
tuition waiver for Masters I have d fee
12:59
is still on for Masters so if you're a
13:03
master student um you pay half the
13:05
tuition fee uh but dormatory is still
13:08
free entrance fee and full tuition waav
13:11
for PhD and St of 400,000 sreen once per
13:16
month uh for PhD if you're if you get
13:19
selected of research assistantship
13:20
scholarship so uh first of all
13:26
to Ste let's see that
13:32
400,000 about
13:34
$300 um yeah which it's it's not really
13:38
all that uh sufficient to cover your
13:41
entire living
13:42
expenses
13:44
right and we have the eligibility
13:47
criteria outstanding students who are
13:49
recommended by their academic advisers
13:51
and head of department and the deadlines
13:55
here we have the questions here can
13:58
again click here to go and see um so
14:02
this is Mir wanu
14:05
campus so I think it will be
14:11
here um under the scholarship
14:15
section AG 17 let's go there it's pretty
14:19
much the same information if I'm being
14:23
honest yeah um scholarships outstanding
14:27
foreign student scholarship for
14:31
PhD um selection process colleges will
14:34
determine number of grantees to
14:37
PhD and for Masters it's just
14:42
one again as you can see uh even Masters
14:45
get dormatory Fe a if the grantee
14:48
maintains a GPA of three point4 above
14:51
each semester scholarship is awarded for
14:53
the rest of regular
14:54
semesters um and it's the same for PhD
14:58
as well
15:01
so 400,000 Koreans per month excludes
15:05
June August January February
15:09
vacations and so yeah it's that's pretty
15:12
much
15:13
it hang
15:15
on so this is if PhD full tution waiver
15:20
including integrated degree full
15:23
entrance fee half of tuition fee for the
15:25
huh okay I see so if you if you're doing
15:28
an integrated degree if you don't know
15:30
what it is it's like you you do Master's
15:33
and PhD at the same time you don't um
15:36
write a PhD the sorry Master's the hang
15:40
on you do Masters and PhD at the same
15:42
time uh you don't to write a master's
15:45
thesis after your Master's lectures are
15:48
done you directly go to PhD lessons and
15:52
then write your PhD dissertations
15:55
dissertation as I'm doing right now I'm
15:56
actually doing an intergrated degree on
15:59
uh economic history so basically it's
16:03
pretty much them uh treating you like a
16:05
master's student for first four
16:08
semesters and then as a PhD student for
16:12
the rest of your your integrated
16:15
degree so yeah this is I think this is
16:19
the more uh a
16:21
more widespread like wider broader range
16:25
uh of scholarship so like it is for
16:27
everyone uh um so yeah this might be
16:31
more interesting for a lot of
16:32
people especially if you are selected
16:35
for research assistantship we've seen a
16:37
lot of assistantships assistantships are
16:39
basically you going to the university
16:41
and working for a certain amount of
16:43
hours 10 hours 20 hours a week or
16:46
something uh and they give you
16:48
additional benefits so yeah that was
16:51
it um now the third one for um graduates
16:55
is the Department of artificial
16:56
intelligence scholarship now this is
16:58
even harder to find uh we'll see that
17:01
it's fa ocean it's just fa ocean there's
17:03
not much to say you need to be studying
17:05
artificial
17:07
intelligence uh Master's
17:10
PhD it's the same
17:12
thing so hang on um I think it was
17:20
somewhere
17:23
sorry I think it was
17:27
here and then and go there
17:36
and there it is Department scholarship
17:39
so uh you search for artif and then the
17:43
fourth one is Department scholarship um
17:46
as you can see there are other
17:47
department scholarships as well but I
17:49
think these this is the only one for
17:50
freshman so this is why Global
17:53
scholarships decided to include this one
17:55
and not the other ones artificial
17:57
intelligence um semester freshman
18:00
semester full scholarship tuition only
18:02
accept entrance
18:04
fee I'm not sure if this
18:09
is this is full tuition as in it covers
18:13
the entirety of your tuition fees
18:16
because it's a 2024 full
18:19
semester full
18:23
scholarship like it sounds like it
18:26
covers full semester tution B like it
18:29
covers just one semester of tuition fee
18:31
I'm not
18:33
sure um I would I would call the
18:35
University or I would try to contact
18:37
them and ask about it so yeah this is
18:43
this just I mean it's a full tuition
18:44
schoolarship um it's always great if you
18:48
don't have to pay tuition fees but again
18:50
um you would still have to pay for
18:53
accommodation and other your living
18:57
expenses which is some of it at least
18:59
covered by uh the next scholarship
19:01
Global leader Fellowship
19:03
scholarship um it's full toan it's it
19:08
still says full T I'm not sure are these
19:10
uh our website is like the design has
19:13
changed recently so maybe there's like a
19:15
BG bug or something uh all nationalities
19:18
all subjects October
19:20
16th um yeah again pretty much the same
19:24
deadline it covers full entrance fees
19:26
full tuition fees and monthly steping it
19:28
is not full tution this is not full
19:30
tution uh this is full funding basically
19:34
there if you don't know there are three
19:35
types of scholarships that we have in
19:37
our database partial means it covers
19:39
less than tuition fees uh full tuition
19:42
means it covers just the tuition fees
19:44
but all of the tuition fees and uh the
19:46
full funding means it covers tuition
19:48
fees and then give you something a
19:49
little bit more uh this is full full
19:54
funding you need to be academically
19:56
outstanding holding language proof
19:58
proficiency scores at least topic level
20:01
four so topic is test of proficiency in
20:05
Korean and then we have ilts Etc tol so
20:08
you have to have both
20:11
um like this goes like this was this
20:14
pretty much the same with other
20:16
universities that we have done um like
20:19
if you want like if you can get some
20:21
scholarships with just creen proficiency
20:25
um there are a lot of universities that
20:26
offer um tuition discount based on your
20:29
topic level uh or your English
20:32
proficiency but if you want to get
20:34
really good scholarships then you will
20:36
probably need to have both uh top like
20:39
Korean proficiency and English
20:41
proficiency like this one student with
20:44
students with career or research
20:45
experience relevant to their study field
20:48
so this is M for masters in and phds uh
20:51
we have the application process here we
20:53
made a video about this one and um we
20:57
have some question questions here as you
20:59
can see all every single one of them are
21:02
answered um and then you can click
21:05
here now this is global
21:10
leader I think it's
21:12
[Music]
21:16
here or hang
21:18
on scholarship application Department of
21:23
Medicine actually let's yeah here it is
21:27
23 let's let's go to page 23 I think
21:30
it's
21:34
there yeah there it is global leader
21:38
Fellowship
21:41
so yes outstanding National blah blah
21:45
blah graduate school scholarships for
21:48
scholarship for international students
21:49
here we have Global leader scholarship
21:51
outstanding new this is the new one I
21:54
believe I think these other ones
21:56
outstanding international student
21:59
these are for people who are already in
22:01
the University not freshmen outstanding
22:04
International students recommended by
22:06
college school minimum GPA to remain is
22:09
the same uh 3.4 out of
22:15
4.3 and then you get full entrance
22:18
tuition fee steepened uh Masters in PhD
22:23
up to fourth fourth semester integrate
22:25
degree up to sixth semester so
22:29
so in this one even if even if you do
22:31
even if you have Masters like you're
22:34
doing Masters or you're doing any
22:36
integrated degree um you get full full
22:41
tuition fee and stened uh pretty much
22:43
the whole time so this one is the best
22:47
one of
22:48
course
22:50
um there is nothing really about the
22:54
living
22:55
stipend um
22:58
it's a for some scholarships they are
23:02
very specific about the number like the
23:05
amount of lyc typend for some of them
23:07
it's just living stepen living expense
23:10
I'm not sure I wouldn't be very um
23:15
optimistic about it being able to cover
23:17
your um entire expenses because as I
23:21
said um soul is kind of expensive you'll
23:24
need about like $1,200 every month uh to
23:27
cover your groceries etc etc etc uh so
23:31
yeah these ones are like yeah as you can
23:35
see there are 26 comments in this like
23:38
for yon universities page so if you have
23:41
any question and every s okay it's 30 13
23:45
questions and 13 answers as you can see
23:48
every single one of them are answered so
23:50
if you have any questions about this
23:51
University if I had any questions I
23:54
would put my questions in here so yeah
23:59
um and that's it we have six sorry five
24:02
scholarships one for
24:04
undergraduate uh it's kind of okay it's
24:06
a good scholarship but like when you if
24:09
you want to get really comprehensive
24:11
scholarships there are more of those for
24:14
uh like graduate students of course
24:17
there's the fact that um undergraduate
24:19
education is four years so they have to
24:21
give you that schoolarship for four
24:23
years but if you're doing your Masters
24:25
uh it's just two years so they can give
24:28
kind of more to master students so yeah
24:31
and well that's pretty much it for this
24:33
video I hope you found it informative we
24:36
