Johnny Marr - The Age Of Everything | X-Posure Album Playback

People say 'I wish he'd sound like he did in The Smiths'... then say, 'Oh, that sounds a bit like The Smiths..." You can't win." The former Smiths legend talks to John Kennedy about his fifth solo studio album. Marr explains why he chose a concise ten-song format, how he road-tested most of the material live before entering the studio and how the audience's response allowed him to refine the arrangements. Johnny also explains that he never listens to his own tracks while he's running, his current influences and how he self-edits around sounding "like The Smiths," and his "secret weapons".
