What's Next For Geoff? Seeing The World!

I love talking and learning about the world

but up until now, I've been doing it from the comfort of this space

Well, that's about to change. But before we get to that, let's talk a little bit about 2024

This has been an incredible year for the channel. In fact, just about two weeks ago, I crossed a huge milestone

100 million total views. When I started this channel back in 2022

I honestly didn't think I would ever hit 1 million views, let alone 100 million views

And I was able to do this because of you. Admittedly, I went a little wild this year with population geography videos

It doesn't hurt that I genuinely find the subject fascinating. Where we live and don't live is a unique story that every state and country has

And to that point, you all love. those videos Of my top 10 videos for 2024 nine were based on this concept That said I can recognize that it probably been a bit much so those videos won be nearly as commonplace in 2025 In fact I already slowed down considerably on making that type of content

I'll probably still create one every once in a while, though. Instead, 2025 will be a broadening of horizons for the channel and for myself

Throughout 2025, I'll be diving deeper into geography and places like I've never done before

To kick things off, I'll be exploring Central America, and why Costa Rica has been so successful, while others have struggled

I'll talk about the potential impacts on international borders that a new Trump administration will have

and I'll be looking at the unique geographic problems that Amtrak has with creating a national train network in the United States

That's all just in the first few weeks. And just like in 2024, a new video will launch on the channel every single Tuesday

Nothing is changing in this way, but there will be one change

This. Starting in January, I'll be traveling the world, and I want you to join me on this journey

Since 2023 I been blessed to have a job that lets me learn about the world to my heart content But now it time to actually experience that world And I be publishing weekly videos of my journey over on a brand new channel Geolex

While everything I do on this channel revolves around education and understanding of how the

world works, Geolex will be more about the experience of the world

Together with my partner Alexa, we'll be wandering the world and creating content about each place we visit

Every video we create will be about something specific, and there'll be a story attached to that video

These won't be your ordinary travel recommendation videos. There's plenty of that content out there already

Instead, we'll be doing unique things, exploring unique places, and talking about those places and our experiences in them

I'll still be talking about geography in those videos, but I'll also be doing

also be experiencing the geography in person Think of it sort of like a mix of travel vlog and geography education That what I aiming for But also we going to try different things and carve our own path to see what kind of content we like making And over the last four months I already started If you follow me over on social media you likely have noticed that I been doing a bit

of travel lately. This was all in the name of creating videos, learning videography, and

honestly learning how to shape a story in person. It's been a tough skill to learn and we're

still learning. Every video we've made so far has been an incredible learning experience and I

expect that will continue to be the case. So here's my final pitch. Come join me on this journey
