Panasonic launched the Toughbook 56, a modular, rugged laptop for demanding field use, underscoring performance, connectivity, and security.
The Panasonic Toughbook 56 targets edge computing and real-time processing with Intel Core Ultra Series 2 chips and an optional AMD Radeon PRO W7500M. It includes a 14-inch WUXGA display, Wi‑Fi 7, 5G/4G LTE dual SIM, and up to three 10Gbps Ethernet ports.
Refinements add a taller 16:10 panel, louder speakers, improved cooling, a reinforced power port, and AI noise reduction for harsh environments.
Security features span FIPS-encrypted drives, TOUGHBOOKGuard, Total Defense, and Battery Charging Guard, addressing government, defense, and enterprise requirements.
Modular expansion covers storage, RAM, and battery, with compatibility for Toughbook 54/55 docks. Availability is expected in May 2026 at a price of $3,325.
