All right guys, so welcome to a product review on the Ridge Carbon Fiber Rings
0:05
Now you can see I am wearing them right here. This is the carbon fiber version and then over here I have the silicone ring
0:13
This is the 3K carbon fiber so that means it has that weave to it instead of it being forged
0:18
carbon and these are the 6 millimeter width rings right here. So in this review, I'm going to tell you everything that I like about these rings, that I don't
0:27
like about the rings and exactly who these rings are for. And I do want to say these were gifted
0:32
to me by the brand, but, you know, all opinions are my own, and I have absolutely no problem
0:37
saying the things that are not so great about them. So let's get right into it. So in testing
0:42
I have been wearing these rings for a couple months now. So I have done quite a bit with them
0:46
I wear them all over the place and have used them a ton. I wear the silicone ring on my right
0:52
hand unless I need to do something like work on my car, which then I just swap it over to my left hand
0:58
And I put this to the side so that I don't damage or anything like that. But I've been wearing
1:02
these for months now and been testing them out like you would. Any normal ring, I use them when
1:06
I'm driving, use them when I'm working, use them when I'm working on cars, all that kind of stuff
1:10
And so I've tested them pretty thoroughly. I'm pretty happy with how long I've used them and feel
1:15
like I have a good idea of what you guys need to know about them. So let's go ahead and get into
1:20
what I do like about them. So the first thing comes to you. down to their comfort. I really like how comfortable these rings are. So the inside is curved
1:28
really well. There's nothing jagged. And I have no problems with comfort. Both rings, actually
1:33
The silicone ring, which you are, is pretty well known for, you know, kind of causing sweat and that kind of stuff
1:39
They have ridges on the inside ha ridge wallet And it kind of wicks away the moisture so I don really run into that But the thing that I think really helps out with the comfort is not necessarily because the ridge ring but it because they six millimeter width rings Now I always had thicker rings and these thinner rings are incredibly comfortable
1:58
You feel like you have a lot more kind of adjustment in your hand. You can kind of, you know, do a fist and that kind of stuff without really noticing them
2:04
whereas thicker rings, you run into that a lot more. And I found these to be incredibly comfortable, more comfortable than most rings I've ever worn
2:11
The number two thing that I like about these rings is their carbon. So this is their 3K carbon
2:17
So that basically means that each one of those little blocks, if you can kind of see it, there you go
2:21
it has 3,000 fibers in each one of those little blocks there
2:26
So that's what makes it a 3K carbon fiber ring. I really like carbon
2:30
I'm really into cars and have been for a very long time. And I just, I don't know, I just really like carbon fiber
2:37
And I think these ones look really nice. I recommend the 3K carbon mainly because they do have the forged carbon
2:43
I'm used to that in this extra wallet over here and I ran into where carbon fiber when it has a
2:48
bit of wear kind of looks like fingerprints and I was a little bit worried about that with this
2:52
ring so I got the 3K carbon version and it just it looks really nice
2:57
If you just kind of glance at it looks like a black ring but if you look a little bit closer
3:01
you start to see kind of the intricacies in that carbon fiber and I like the way they look
3:06
Now, of course, the silicone version over here that comes in the kit is just, you know, kind of your standard silicone ring, and it looks pretty decent as well
3:14
Most people wouldn't notice you're wearing it instead of the 3K carbon version
3:17
The number four thing I like about these rings actually has less to do with the rings and more about Ridge's policy around these rings
3:23
So they have a fantastic warranty. So they have a lifetime warranty on them, which is pretty impressive on its own
3:31
However not only do they warranty on you know like damage and that kind of stuff of stuff that just outside of normal wear and tear they actually replace it twice if you say grow out of it or you need a different size ring or that kind of stuff they replace it twice
3:46
But not only that, but even if you lose these rings, they will replace the ring for you, which is a pretty cool warranty because, I mean, even though these are pretty expensive rings
3:56
they're not exactly expensive when you compare them to other ones, but you can replace it up to two times
4:01
for either loss or just growing out of them, which does happen quite a bit for quite a few people
4:06
that adjust weight pretty regularly. Now we get to the things that I don't like about these
4:11
rings. And the number one thing is I wish the silicone ring came in half sizes. So I normally
4:16
wear a 10 and a half ring. However, the silicone ring can only come in 10 or 11, but they
4:22
go with the size below the ring you purchase. So if I got a 10 and a half on this ring, this ring would
4:29
come in a 10 size, which I know that the silicone ring, if it was a 10, would not
4:33
fit my finger, would be uncomfortable. So I ended up having to get an 11, which is a half size bigger, to make sure that this
4:39
came in an 11 size. And that kind of annoys me a little bit. But I will say they actually fit really well
4:44
I think because it is so lightweight, I don't really ever have it coming off without me
4:48
noticing it. So it hasn't been too big of a deal being a half size larger than I would prefer, but it is something
4:54
that I wish, you know, was not the case. I actually kind of wish the silicon ring came in a half size larger if you got a half size on this one
5:01
And then the number two thing that I didn't like is I actually did get some damage
5:05
So you can see, let's see if I can get it to focus there
5:09
So you can see right here, I did get some pretty good scratches
5:12
And that is because I forgot to take this off when I was working on my car replacing the brakes and rotors
5:18
And I got some damage on the ring which I was kind of surprised by because I wasn exactly like a really hard damage or anything like that but it is a bit of a bummer Because you did get damage on it It is carbon fiber but I you know the thing about it is it has a clear coating over
5:33
top of it. So you're not really dealing with the carbon fiber here. You're using whatever coating they have on the outside here. And that little coating got some damage, and that is a bit
5:42
of a bummer. However, again, I mean, if I wanted to replace them, I could replace them because they
5:46
have a fantastic warranty. And that is about it. I mean, they are really. I mean, they are rings, they're comfortable, they're great, I really like them. And so this has been an amazing
5:52
set that I really enjoy wearing. But who should be buying this? Now, these rings are not cheap. They're
5:59
north of $200 for the set, but when you think about it, most rings, like wedding bands and that
6:05
kind of stuff, can be in that range or even higher. So if you think about it, it actually is a pretty
6:09
decent deal. And for a free pool, that do work out, but want a normal kind of hard ring, but, you know
6:14
work out or work on cars and that kind of stuff, I do like that it comes with a silicone ring, and it
6:19
does a good job swapping between. And if you're somebody that's into carbon fiber, this is a
6:23
fantastic set for you. But who is it not for? I mean, it's for somebody that's not willing to
6:29
spend $250 on a wedding band set. I always recommend to people to not spend more money than they need
6:36
And if that's not in your budget, don't extend yourself. Just don't buy it. But if you can spend
6:42
$250 or whatever price they have if it's on sale at that point in time, I would go for it
6:47
I think it's a pretty cool product and I've been impressed with it and I really like them
6:51
And in case you didn't know, I do have links to this ring down in the description and the top comment
