Gear in Review: My Favorite Gear I Tested This Year!

Hey everyone and welcome back to the channel

Today is a special video because it is nearing the end of the year

and that gets me thinking about all the awesome gear that I got throughout the year

So today we're going to be talking about the six pieces of gear that I have been using throughout this year

that I liked the best so that you can be able to take a look and see if it's something that works for your life

As you probably know, I like gear that I use on a daily basis and that I use all the time

So each of these things is something that can get used every single day

which makes it an awesome value for really whatever price that they have them for

So stay tuned for the six pieces of gear that I use the most. So first up is the Ridge Wallet. The Ridge Wallet has incredibly impressed me

This was actually not sent out to me by the manufacturer. It was actually a gift to me last Christmas

So I have now been using this for almost 12 months on a daily basis, and I am just incredibly impressed

I used to use a bunch of different types of wallets, including those buy folds at fold over

I was using front pocket wallets and all that kind of stuff until I got this Ridge wallet

And I had just been using it for a year now, and I'm just incredibly impressed. It is held up extremely well

Of course, it has its wear and tear of being able to be used. It goes into my pocket with my keys, which is my keyboard pivot 2.0 review up here

I've just been really impressed at how well it is held up. The elastic band that I have, which I prefer over the pocket clip, but that's just a personal preference

The elastic has been holding up and been keeping my cash extremely well held in here

I really do like that. And then the elastic for keeping the cards

and has been holding up really well. I keep way more cards in it than I have here

I actually have the Koonigan gun box cards in here right now. However, I normally have about probably eight to ten cards in here

And the elastic still holds less cards super, super easily. No problem

It doesn't come out. It doesn't have any issues. I've been really impressed by the usability of it

All you do is you just push in there and you can easily access your cards. What I do is I keep a both, the two cards that I use

the most one on this side and the other on this side so that all you have to do is just press it and you can pull it out Super easy to use It did take some getting used to a couple weeks probably for me to get used to using this wallet and just getting used to like how to get the cards out how to lay it out and that kind of stuff The one thing I wasn super impressed with is I actually didn get the cavity tray as well

and I haven't found a good use for that yet. So my recommendation would be to figure out exactly what you would want to use that for before purchasing it

because I found that I just didn't use it all that much, and I just used the base wallet

So this is actually the one in white. However, there's a huge array of colors and features and all that kind of stuff that you can have for this wallet

Number two is actually Decker's X Lab. So I actually just did a review on this that came out last week

I didn't know about it until this year. And I've just been crazy impressed

This is actually my fourth pair of Decker's X Lab. I'm currently wearing another pair right now

And they have been my daily driver for basically since the beginning of May

I have been using their shoes all throughout the summer. Even the fur-lined ones, they stayed cool in the summer

stayed warm in the winter. I walked here in the snow in my Degger's X lab right now

These are being currently used as my slippers at home, and I have just been super and super impressed

so it's less about the specific shoe and more of their brand in general

I've just been super impressed by all their products, and they've just been very warm

They've been really high quality, and honestly, they're really good deal for the price. So I do recommend checking them out

link down the description. So that brings me to number three, and that is these arcade belts

I have actually, again, not how to review out on the site or on the channel yet, but you should be seeing one soon

These arcade belts are incredible belts. They are an elastic style belt with a plastic clasp, and all you do is you basically just put them in there

and then you have two buttons to be able to unclasp. It is super, super easy. I was using a mission belt before this, which kind of has a similar idea

I was super impressed by that belt, and this one actually replaced it. I have been using this belt constantly. Like this is the only belt I use anymore just because it is so

easy and so problem free. I have no problems. It's just so much better than those belts out there that have

the holes It stays in really good condition I been using this I think probably about six months now and it looks brand new so I have no issues with this belt I thought I wasn going to like it I actually seen a pair of these in the store

Not overly impressed with, I thought it looked cheap. However, once I got it in hand, honestly, these are just fantastic

I've been really impressed by it. I don't think they're cheap to the plastic

It sure is plastic, but it is really high quality and holds up very well

I have literally no damage to this product, but to whoever have been used daily for the past, I think it was six months

So, these arcade belts are fantastic. This one in particular is no longer on their website

However, I'm going to link to their website because there are a ton of other belts just like this one that I think you should check out

So that brings us to number four, and that of course is a security product

We have a ton of content out there around security products. And this year, my favorite is the Kunig 1.0

The Kunig 1.0 used to be known as the Gunn Box 2.0. However, they rebranded over to Kunig

and called this the 1.0. This is an RFID keypad, and fingerprint safe with a fantastic interior

I actually just did a review on this one a couple weeks ago, and I've been really impressed

So I was familiar with Gun Box for the past five years or so. I tested out their original product

This is a fully new and improved product that I actually have way less issues with

And honestly, this is one of the best gun safes for pistols that you can possibly get

It also works really, really well for valuables, electronics, and all that kind of stuff

So I just really do recommend this one. I do like it. And this is my favorite pistol safe on the market

this year. So number five of the six favorite products of this year is IBEX wool air hoodie

of which I'm going to go ahead and get into that right now. So here you go. So I really

really like this ibex wool air hoodie. So this is my go-to coat that I use every single day

It is actually a merino wool interior coat that is actually very, very warm, but also very, very

thin. It works well as a mid-layer that I actually wear underneath a four-low coat that I also

aware But this is kind of my go for around town for driving all that kind of stuff because it just not bulky It easy to put on It fits really really well and I been super impressed by it It is a little bit expensive at almost However being wearing a wool interior and just the fit and finish and just quality of it is well worth that price um i really really do like this one and i recommend it for anyone that wants a coat

that's really really thin easy to drive in easy to walk around easy to just kind of stuff into bags

i'll put a video up here because you can actually stuff this right into its own pocket and it's basically

a self-enclose you can throw it into bags through it into your vehicle or anything like that with no

problem whatsoever so with that said let me get back out of this coat and we'll go on to my final and number

six product that I recommend from this year. So number six, and this one has actually been on my desk all along

and that is the Yeti Rambler. I really, really like this mug

I've actually been using this one now for a couple of years, and I highly recommend it for anyone that's looking for a great to go coffee mug

Everything about it just works really, really well. It fits in the cup holders

It's mag slider lid works really, really well. It may not be leakproof

However, it is great for just kind of a daily use. you're not going to throw this into your bag

But having that mag slider lid is fantastic. It keeps temperature hot

It works really well. I actually am physically using this right now. I have coffee in this coffee mug

And I just really, really like them. I like their style. The build quality is

I've been using this for years, and it looks like it barely has any wear on it. And it just works really, really well

I highly recommend it is one of my favorite coffee mugs. It is my go-to-go coffee mug
