So let's go to G-B-N-E's reporter Dougie Beatty
0:02
Dougie is on a pedalo, if you're listening on the radio, looking fabulous in his summer threads and his sunglasses
0:09
Dougie, what's going on? Scorchio, scorchio! Yeah, usually when I report the weather
0:18
I'm standing at the side of a cliff somewhere talking about the weather
0:22
and getting absolutely soaked and battered by the wind. What a lovely day to be in London
0:26
Londoners are so lucky to have this park. I mean, I've just been sitting here for about the last 10 minutes
0:32
and taking it all in. Although I must say most of the people around here are quackers
0:39
But the sunshine is absolutely fabulous. People are out. There's runners. There's families walking in the parks
0:46
And they even have slurry tankers, small slurry tankers, out watering the grass
0:52
Obviously no slurry in it, just water. and that's how hot it is getting at this moment in time
0:57
I must say being out in the lake is a bit of a gift for me
1:01
because I seem to have a thing about elm pollen and of course the pollen is quite high today
1:06
so that is actually really causing problems for hay fever sufferers. But other than that, get out there, enjoy the sun
1:14
Londoners are so lucky. In fact, it's amazing to think the city of London is just in behind me
1:19
and I'm sitting in this park. But Patrick Christie, he told me last night
1:23
He said, oh, Dougie, most of these padallows, they're motorised. You'll be OK
1:28
What a liar. Do you know how much power it takes to pedal one of these things to get a few feet
1:34
This is not as glorious. It's going to take me half an hour getting back. Well..
