So do we now have undeniable proof that Britain's capital is enforcing a regime of two-tier justice
0:05
Well, we've been talking about this for the last few years, and for many people it's become unavoidable
0:11
What I want to talk about now, though, is a Christian Street preacher who was shut down by London's transport police outside King's Cross Station
0:19
Now, she has exclusively spoken to GB News, claiming that Christians are being heavily persecuted in this country
0:26
and that police are not doing this to other religious speakers. Shocking, indeed, if true
0:33
Well, are we living in this two-tier approach by the authorities that we hear so much about
0:39
I'm delighted to say I am joined now in the studio by that street preacher herself, Monique Bailey
0:45
Monique, can you tell us a bit about what you experienced and what happened for the viewers who might not be familiar with this story
0:54
Now, I've watched it closely myself, but perhaps you could tell them exactly what happened. Yeah, sure
0:58
So I went to King's Cross on Thursday with my team, Mad for Jesus Ministries
1:04
Afro-Jesus Ministries. Mad for Jesus. Mad for Jesus Ministries. Yeah, on the top
1:11
It's on your T-shirt even. Mad for Jesus, OK. Yes, so we went out on Thursday
1:15
and we basically put our amp there just before the barrier. So there's like barriers just in front of the station
1:24
We put our amp there. Then security came and they said you can be there This is private property but you can be before the barriers So we went before the barriers closer to the station So I started worshipping I normally sing first and then I preach
1:40
Then I gave it to my mother. Now that's when the police came and she was like, what are you doing
1:46
Do you have a permit here? And we were like, oh, we didn't know. The security told us we could be here
1:52
I'm not totally sure of all the laws and all this stuff to do with street preaching
1:56
So I didn't have that knowledge at the time. So she was like, you can't be here
2:01
So we said, well, security said we could be here. So after we discussed that with her, we were like, OK, fine
2:07
We packed up our stuff. Fine. We don't want to go against the law. Right. So she just started saying comments now, which was odd
2:14
So that's when you see the clip that I've put up where she was like, this is wrong
2:18
I don't agree with it. I'm just paraphrasing. So this is the police officer
2:24
The police officer, yeah. Saying she doesn't agree with moving you on? Yes, yes, basically
2:28
And she doesn't agree with the gospel, basically. She was like, I don't agree with it
2:35
This is all wrong. And it was just for me, it was like, what's going on with the police these days
2:40
Because you're meant to help us and serve us, but instead you're..
2:44
And where is that clip? Where can people watch that clip? It's on my Instagram. Right, OK
2:49
And that's Monique Bailey, is it? It's Monbi underscore 1997. OK, so the police officer basically was letting it be known that their political views were not aligned with yours
2:59
which raises the question of well we don really care what the police thinks politically But what about this suggestion that you were treated more harshly than other followers of other religions
3:13
Yeah, sure. I believe that just because personally, I believe Jesus is the way of the truth and the life
3:19
And, you know, I've seen it and I believe many people have seen that there has been more persecution on Christians more than any other religion
3:29
And we've seen it day in, day out with Harmony that sang as well
3:34
And she was persecuted. So it goes to show that something's quite odd in the UK right now with the police coming against Christians and what we are there to preach about
3:44
And it's the good news. The gospel is good news. Absolutely. I'm also, by the way, personally struck by the lack of attention that is given within the Western media to the persecution of Christians across large parts of Africa
3:57
Now, were that perhaps another group, we might hear a lot more about that
4:01
I'm just going to read to you a statement from the British Transport Police who said this
4:06
We are aware of a video posted on social media showing an interaction involving an officer outside Kings Cross Railway Station
4:15
Officers were on patrol at the station when they came across a group preaching on private land with a loud speaker
4:21
which requires permission from network rail. and as such, they asked them to leave
4:28
What's your response to that? It is true that the police did tell us that you need a permit So that is truth But it the way it was handled She was very agitated with us very hostile
4:44
How she came across to us, it was as if she didn't like us
4:49
if I'm being honest. And we're just here to spread the love of Christ
4:53
and the truth of the gospel. And, you know, it was just astonishing
4:58
I just couldn't believe how a police person could come against us like that
5:02
Like, we were abiding by the rules. And by the way, I didn't actually put the full clip on just to, in a way, save her, because it actually got worse
5:11
OK. Moni, can I just quickly ask, if you take a step back and look at Britain, you know, as a Christian
5:16
you see the demonstrations that we've had since October 7th. Some would say pro-Hamas, anti-Israel demonstrations, pretty overt displays of anti-Semitism
5:26
We've had the Lucy Connolly case. We've had, I would argue, clear evidence of a two-tier approach
5:34
within our judicial legal system. Do you think that we are actually now entering a society
5:41
where some groups, some religions are treated much more harshly than others
5:47
Do you think, for example, if you had been a Muslim preacher
5:51
in King's Cross Station, the reaction would have been the same? Yeah, I don't think it would be the same
5:57
I do know, yeah, of course, every religion gets something thrown at them
6:01
But I do think, of course, Christianity is the most persecuted. And I do think we will see it more
6:08
OK, well
