In Lent, Christians think more about Jesus. Jesus says we are called to take up our cross and follow him

This doesn't mean that we are to bear with things harmful in our lives

like an abusive relationship or staying in a job that is really not healthy

But when Jesus says, take up your cross and follow me, he is saying to the Christian, let me lead your life, surrender your plan and follow mine

Jesus called his first disciples away from lives as fishermen into a life fishing for people

A person might feel called into ministry or called to set up a community cafe

When feeling called, it is about surrendering our way And trusting that Jesus knows better than us the plan for our life

Remember though, calls need testing because the enemy calls too We might speak to a Christian priest to check out a sense of call
