Call of Duty is under fire yet again, but it might not be for something that you were expecting
0:03
This time it's all around their marketing and what seems to be a blatant lie in the way they told the story of a recent artist who is now going to be playing the game, helping promote the game, that being Tinashe
0:14
If you guys don't know, a very well-known artist. I am sure at one point she did stream and does enjoy Call of Duty slash Warzone
0:20
But it was the story that was told as a part of their marketing campaign that people instantly were thinking, this sounds a little fishy
0:28
This sounds heavily scripted. And for me, it was all like just the keywords, all the Warzone and Call of Duty keywords that she was using throughout this
0:36
where people were questioning if what she was saying was even true or if it was all Call of Duty marketing
0:43
I was tapping heads one after the other. First team, second team, third team
0:49
I was completely silent. Dead silent, I was focused. I was playing with my girlfriend and streaming
0:57
for a small group of fans. And all I see in the chat is airport, airport
1:03
So we landed at the airport. It was total chaos. And then bam I got hit Sniper in the airport tower They thought it was over but they thought wrong I win my gulag I drop back in and I see it That tower So I landed right on it
1:20
So I take the first shot. Crack. Second shot. Down. Third shot. Team white
1:27
So you had people like Courage in the responses. You had Swag in the responses. T-Dog, all these people in responses and many, many more
1:34
And it wasn't until actual footage was found of this supposed stream and of her gameplay that people really, really started it
1:42
I mean, before that, people were doubting. But then, thanks to Hunter, the gameplay of one of her streams was then shown
1:48
And people realized, oh, Call of Duty does... I mean, I'm assuming here, but it seems like they lied
1:55
It seems like they handed Tinashe a script. She read it and got the bag, which, by the way, great for her
2:00
That's awesome. But this is more so a diss towards Call of Duty. with all the things you have going on right now
2:05
you're going to be focused more on this paid shield lying technique of promotion
2:11
as opposed to what people are saying is focusing on your game and fixing that instead
2:16
I got the bars You know what I got bars for days I also play with these hoes they already know get in the car and go
2:31
so after seeing that people were like it is highly unlikely you picked up a sniper and let alone got
2:47
one kill or wiped four four squads is what she said so it just seems like it didn't it didn't
2:55
happen which I don't know if that's a stretch maybe it is to some of you guys but it just doesn't seem
3:00
like it ever really happened and this whole time what I was thinking about is vice versa you've had
3:05
call of duty have other artists out there who were very bad at the game and it somehow worked in their
3:10
favor because it was so comical that it somehow worked do you guys remember little john everyone
3:15
and their mom including skump was reacting to how bad this guy was because they had him on stage
3:20
playing the game and i don't even know if he could see the game was pretty incredible but all right
3:24
hey map number two game number two we're gonna hop on in right now it's going to be some desert
3:31
siege action look at the wind maven it just moving around well this this one I been excited to see I haven personally played Call of Duty Esports for a really long time
3:43
but now, to my understanding, it's like kind of one point instead of it topping. When it comes to the return of Verdansk and Warzone in a point
3:50
where it seems to be a very important point in Call of Duty, and of course, as we slowly approach what is going to be the beginning marketing
3:56
of this next Call of Duty title, very important times for what the future of Warzone will be
4:01
and what the future of Call of Duty will be, although I'm sure they have plenty planned to draw us all back in
4:06
And so at such an important time to be doing something like this and not expected to be called out by the community who is more ytical now
4:13
than they probably ever have been because of all the issues with the game, it just seemed like an interesting choice that did receive a lot of backlash
4:20
And again, no fault to Tinashe. You get that bag, all right? You take that Call of Duty money because not many people get it
4:26
especially streamers and creators who actually play the game and people thought maybe they should be highlighted in these videos
4:32
more so than all the celebrities being brought in, but that's a whole different topic
4:36
So what do you guys think about this? Call the backlash to start your morning, and hopefully a nice little drink as well
4:41
and I'll see you back here bright and early, hopefully tomorrow morning with some more gaming news
4:45
Till next time, though, as per usual, take care of yourselves. We'll see you soon
