8 Best Episodes Of Andor

Hello my fellow Rebels, we're here to talk about Andor, and Andor is hands down one of the best

things to come out of the Star Wars universe. Set as a prequel to Rogue One, we get more of the

backstory of the Rebel Alliance and of course Cassian Andor. So I asked the WhatCulture community

to vote for their favourite episode. I'm CJ, this is WhatCulture, and here are your top 8 Andor

episodes voted by you. Number 8 is Season 1, Episode 3, Reckoning. This episode was directed

by Toby Haynes and written by Tony Gilroy. The events of this episode focus on the planet

Ferex, where it reaches a climax as the Primo Authority forces, led by Deputy Inspector Cyril

Kahn, track Cassian Andor to Ferex. Cassian meets with Luthien, who reveals his true identity

and persuades a reluctant Cassian to join his anti-imperial operation. The confrontation with

the Primo forces provides cover for Cassian and Luthien to escape Ferex. Flashbacks also give us

more of a detailed story of a young Cassian being adopted by Marva and Clem on Qunari

In 7th place, it's Make It Stop. Season 2, Episode 10, Make It Stop is directed by Alonzo

Ruzopaliseus and written by Tom Bizzle. It's a tense pivotal episode that completely focuses

on Luthun and Clea and does not feature Cassian Andor at all. We take a deep dive into the harsh

realities of Luthun's commitment to the rebellion, beginning with his Imperial informant Lonnie

reveals the existence of the Death Star, but is promptly murdered by Lufen to protect the secret

Lufen rushes to destroy evidence at his antique shop, but is cornered by Deidre

who has finally identified him as Axis. Lufen attempts suicide to avoid capture and torture

but is saved by Miro and hospitalised on life support. The remainder of the episode focuses on Clea

whose backstory is revealed through flashbacks showing Lufen rescuing her from a massacred homeworld

highlighting their shared ruthless devotion to the cause. Ultimately, Clea infiltrates the hospital

and believing Lufen's survival possesses the single greatest threat to the Rebellion Network

she tearfully disconnects his life support and kills him honouring his intended sacrifice and securing the secret of the Death Star once more

In 6th place we have Narkina 5. Season 1 Episode 8 Narkina 5 was directed by Toby Haynes and written by Bo Willem In the previous episode Andor was captured and has been sentenced to six years in the brutal Imperial prison factory on Norkina 5

He's assigned the work the floor unit where he meets Kino Loy, played by the one and only Andy Serkis

Here, Ando learns how to survive in the prison with no hope of escape

However, on Carousant, Deidre's investigation in the Alderhani heist and the mysterious Axis

gain significant traction within the ISB. ending with Bix being captured and taken to be tortured

And Mon Mothma faces financial threats that force her to seek risky sources of funding

and Lufen meets the infamous extremist leader Saul Guerrero who we were introduced to in the film Rogue One

And at number 5, the episode Who Are You. Season 2, episode 8, Who Are You, is directed by Janice Metz and written by Dan Gilroy

Who Are You? is a brutal, emotionally charged episode which is entirely focused on the Gorman massacre, a horrific turning point in the rebellion

Now, this all begins when Deirdre finally puts her plan into motion and suppresses a massive anti-imperial protest in Palmo Plaza, resulting in the deaths of hundreds of the Gorman civilians

Now, Cassian, who has been sent to assassinate Deirdre, is forced to forget his mission and engage in the ensuing chaos

Cyril at this point has just realised he was nothing more than an imperial pawn to do Deirdre's work

And having spotted Andor in the distance, who he's been tracking since season one, finally confronts him

A brutal and bloody fight begins which does not end well for Cyril as he is killed by one of the Gorman protesters

tragically ending his obsessive quest to find and kill Andor. Cassian, however, manages to escape

and the episode ends with the emergency broadcast exposing the Empire's merciless attack to the wider galaxy

Now, as much as I loved Cyril as a character, I do think his death was quite a good one

especially with Andor saying, who are you after all of this time

do it for him for grogu and in fourth place jedda kaiba urso season two episode 12 Jedi Kaiba Erso was directed by Alonso Ruspolisius and written by Tom Bissell

The final ever episode of Andor directly sets up Rogue One, beginning with Cassian and the newly reactivated K2 rescuing Clea

Clea has been in hiding on Coruscant with the details of the impending Death Star

After a daring escape and return to the rebellion over Nyavan to deliver this important information

Cassian is disheartened to find a sceptical rebel high command. Cassian passionately defends Lufen's sacrifice

eventually convincing Bail Organa of the threat's gravity and what it could mean for the rebel alliance in the rest of the galaxy

While the episode resolves several Imperial arcs, including showing Major Partagaz's suicide and Deidre's imprisonment

the central focus remains on Cassian, who is ultimately authorised by Organa to pursue the corroborating contact

The series concludes with Cassian and K2 departing Yavin, taking us directly to the start of Rogue One

And even though we know the fate of Cassian, we are given some hope when seeing Bix, now with Child, who we can assume is Cassian's, safe and hopefully living a happy life due to Cassian's sacrifice

And at number three, we have Nobody's Listening. Season one, episode nine, Nobody's Listening, is directed by Toby Haynes and written by Bo Willem

We start with poor Bix, who is being captured but remains defied as Deirdre continues her torture

However, after placing headphones on Bix, we hear horrific screams of her torture, causing her to break almost immediately

Cyril has started to openly stalk Deirdre, who is not impressed and he finds her outside ISB headquarters

but she sternly dismisses him and tells him to stop. Cassian, however, continues to try and convince Kino Loy and other prisoners to plan an escape

Kino is having none of it and is dedicated to compliance in the hope of legitimate release

Cassian, getting frustrated by this, yells out nobody's listening, telling us that the Empire doesn't care about them

It's not until the climax of the episode where Olaf dies that the truth is finally revealed

and that nobody is listening and nobody escapes unless you die. And at number 2 we have Welcome to the Rebellion

Season 2, Episode 9, Welcome to the Rebellion is directed by Janice Metz and written by Dan Gilroy

This episode centres on Senamon Mothma making a final defining move against the Empire following the atrocities of the Gorman massacre Despite receiving an extradition plan from Bail Organa

Mon is approached by Luthun, who reveals that both her aide and Organa's team are compromised

by Imperial spies, highlighting the deep distrust and danger that's within the rebellion. Mon Mothma

delivers a powerful televised speech in the Senate publicly condemning Emperor Palpatine

and the unprovoked genocide on Gorman, forcing the Empire to cut her off

As Imperial forces move to arrest her, Cassian, working under Lufen, meets Mon for the first time in the Senate

and successfully coordinates her dramatic, frantic escape from Coruscant, effectively beginning her transition from political senator

to the public face of the Rebel Alliance. Now, before we get to the top episode voted by you

And at number one, it's One Way Out. Season one, episode 10, One Way Out is directed by Toby Haynes and the writer is Bo Willem

Mon Mothma faces pressure to securing funding for the rebellion, meeting with Davo for a morally compromising deal

which involves an arranged marriage for her daughter to help secure the rebellion's future

Lufin meets his imperial informant, Lonnie, and makes the difficult, cold-blooded decision to sacrifice one rebel cell

to protect his crucial imperial asset Lonnie. And going to Andor, the prisoners of Narkeen 5

knowing the truth that there's no way out, and motivated by Cassian and Kino Loy

execute a massive coordinated prison break, Kino delivers a powerful, inspiring speech over the intercon

causing a massive prison break, which I think is possibly one of the best scenes in the entire series

But as the prisoners finally see the light of day, we see Kino reluctant to join Cassian

as we find out he can't swim and will not jump in the water to escape

leaving us to wonder what his fate is trapped in the Imperial prison. Cassium swims to safety and continues his escape from the Empire

and we end the episode. An episode full of sacrifices to help the greater good

and one of the best episodes of Andor ever made. So there you go
