How to Delete Suggested For You on YouTube (2024)

Hey there, if you want to delete your suggested stuff here into YouTube you are in the right place

So first of all guys what I want to show you here is my youtube.com dashboard

And here into my dashboard is going to be appearing a lot of, let's say for example

videos suggested for me. If I don't want to see videos that were suggested for me, there's only two things that I can

do in. And one of those is to try to do something with my privacy

Now one of the best ways that we can just delete our suggestion is just click into the

search bar, and here is going to be appearing all our videos that we just, let's say for

example that we just searched for and we just go into the X button so we can delete those

And if I don't have anything that I just recently watched, what's going to appear here is that

all the themes, all the stuff that so far has been like trending today

So for example Silent Hill, Konami is cool, Silent Hill Black Adam and Shakira and all

that right. Now what I want to do here is you want to focus here into your account, I want to go

into the settings section and in here I want to go into my privacy

Now as you can see here I have some stuff in Spanish, but actually I have two things

that you want to enable that. In here there's just to keep all your stuff, all your listed, all your subscription as

private and I'm going to enable that. And here you have the ads and Facebook

Now actually speaking about the configuration of the Google ads, you might see all your

ads depending on what kind of content you are seeing here. So in order to try to redeem that, you want to go into your Google account because Google

operates almost everything, Gmail, YouTube, everything right. So here into your YouTube account you want to go into your data and privacy which is

actually in here. After you clicked into your account you want to go into manage your Google account and

once you are in here you see your data and privacy options. So I'm going to scroll down, we have your data and privacy options, things you've done

and places you've been, the history settings, the location history, the YouTube history

You guys want to delete all of this web and app activity

If I click on this I can go into turn off, so nothing is going to be, my activity is

not going to be saved. If I don't have any information into my account, Google is not going to be suggesting me personalized stuff

So I just need to go into YouTube history and go into turn off

So if I go back into my deleted activity older than 36 months, I can go and select let's

say for example just 3 months right and I can go into next

Search confirm preference to auto delete activity older than 3 months, go into confirmed

So now that we have our preference saved, now our activity older than 3 months is going

to be permanently deleted and we are not going to be having like personal suggested stuff

But I should tell you guys if you go back into YouTube and now YouTube has nothing personalized

to show you, what's going to show you is all the trending stuff that so far has been looking

here into YouTube. Now if I go into a private window, I'm going to open YouTube.com as if I have no account

as if this was the first time I just entered in here into YouTube MX on Latin America

So in here it's going to be showing me the most common stuff that everybody in my country

is seeing. Like let's say for the trending here, for example I have seen some playlists of music

house music, hip hop music, this guy, shorts, right. So depending on what kind of where you are located, it's going to appear here your trending stuff
