How to Create an Etsy Shop From Scratch Step by Step Guide

Hello guys, welcome to Techspress, I'm Stephen. I'm going to be showing you how to come in

Etsy's seller, I'm going to be showing you how to get started totally from scratch, so

you don't have to worry about the actual process. So it's actually really, but really, really

simple going to make this really broad and easy for you to get started even in day number

one. So let's get started. The very first thing you want to do is to go into Etsy.com

fast forward slash sell as you can see already in here. And then what you want to do is to

locate the button that says get started. This one is going to be taking us into the sign

in. So you can either register or sign in with your Etsy account that you currently

have. So if I just click into the x mark and I scroll up and down, you'll be seeing the

different tools and the fees that's going to be costing us when we wanted to list a

product. So here's take in mind that if you wanted to list your first item is going to

be taking you 20 cents for the transaction fee. So that means that if you're to make

your first item listing inside here, it will be taking you 20 cents. So this is the only

paid transaction that we need to pay at all. Then later on, we don't have to do absolutely

anything. Now the powerful tools we have different tools here, we have the support and education

so you can check it out the actual Etsy shop so you can start selling today if you have

like more concerns about how to get started and all that you can just go directly into

the tools it can be offering us for us for the sellers into Etsy. But in my case, I'm

going to hit into get started. I'm going to type with a custom email. And then I want

to start by creating an actual account. So I'm going to click this part and we're getting

to register. And then later on, as almost anybody here, you just need to actually verify

your email. Now here's you can see it says welcome to get started with you bring up to

your life. Let's do this. So what I want to do now guys, it's to actually just start to

set it up. So I wanted to see the main tools that can help me to get started. So I don't

feel like what we are a pro where we are brand new. So in my case, let's go for I'm

just starting to sell for the first time ever. And hit into next, this one is going to be

helping us to track the tools that we actually need to get started here into Etsy. Now let's

say that we actually don't know what to sell. So I'm going to go for skip this questions

or let's say choose as many topics as you want to get resources. Let's say that I wanted

to know how to what to sell, I want to sell online, I want to know everything about getting

discovered in the search bar, I want to know how to pricing items, I want to know how to

marketing my new audiences. And I think we're good to go. Hit now into next. And now now

time for the fun part, start your shop. So just like that, what we want to do is start

customizing our actual store. So we can start selling inside Etsy. So here's really important

that just use the actual country where you're currently living. Otherwise, it's going to

be a little bit hard for you to gather the actual people they're going to be selling

with. In my case, I'm going to be choosing my shop language, which is English, the shop

country, let's go and look out for the United States. And the shop currency, let's go for

United States dollar. And I'm going to hit into saved on continue here to name your shop

Let's go and look out for humans. There we go. So now let's go into save and continue

since this one is available for our store. Then later on, it's gonna be asking for creating

a listing. So you don't have to worry about this part. Because what we can do is to just

start totally from scratch. And then later on, we can save this as a draft. So you don't

have to be intimidated by just get started like totally from today. So what I want to

do now is to if I go into add a photo, I was going to add something like to easy, I'm

going to add the actual logo of my store, which is actually this one. And let's say

that I am selling let's go here into title, let's go for digital art. He made it I made

it myself, what is it a finished product and made to the order. So I'm going to just fail

this like really, really fast. So we can move on into the next step. Now it's really important

that we choose how we are going to actually get paid. So I'm going to hit into do this

later. Because we don't want to mess around here, we want to start by how we're going

to get paid, right. So this is a really important part, we can get started in day number one

So here into tax purposes, what type of seller are you? Let's say that we're individual

select a country of your residence, you wanted to choose in my case, United States, you want

to choose your first last name, you have your date, but really important that you choose

your social security number. Otherwise, you're not going to be able to receive money from

Etsy. There we are, we have to, of course apply to the taxpayer addresses, all of these

elements need to be failed. And where is your bank located? Let's go once again to the United

States. And here we have to connect our bank information. Now, this is really, really

really important in order to get started. So just in case you don't have any bank account

you can try to contact the actual Etsy and try to figure out what are the other elements

that can be helping you to get started here into Etsy. But I'm pretty sure that you might

need an actual bank account in order to get started. So we can set up a billing, and we

can set up the actual Shopify security and all that. So lastly, guys, what is going to

be next to do is just to add the actual shop security, we just need to verify that sometimes

we're going to be taking you a charge of 20 cents just to make sure that your actual account

is totally legit. And you are not like making double accounts and all that. But once you

have successfully done that, I'm going to be showing you an actual store that we have

just created, which is actually looking like this. So if I go now into my setting sections

I'm going to go into about your shop. And this one is going to be taking us into all

the elements that we have just added automatically, manually, actually. So this is the next part

where you actually wanted to get started with your shop, we wanted to, let's say, add

the human part of my actual shop. So now that my actual shop starts to work, I wanted to

first of all, instead of listing, I wanted to fill as much information as I can about

my actual store. So if I focus into the sales channel, it says here Etsy. So I'm going to

hit into edit pod. And this one is going to be taking me into a free website that was

created with Etsy. So here I can add my own listing, I can add a feature area with highlighted

listings, I can add the different admirers, I have all the sales, since I was going to

get started, I can add a video so people can be knowing what it is actually about how to

add five photos with captions are a story headline. So we wanted to add as much information

as you can so people can be like understand that this is an actual human store for you

make made by human for humans, right? We are not a robot, we are not making some artificial

intelligence stuff, we're selling actual real authentic stuff. So this is the part where

I wanted to locate the edit section of almost every single section of my store. So if you

don't know how to add your logo, how to add your banner from the Etsy, I can totally suggest

you to use Canva. Because for once, this is totally for free. And number two, these has

templates that we can use totally for free. And we don't have to spend a lot of time here into Canva. So I think it's gonna be really, really a lifesaver, just in case you don't

know how to make some graphic design content. I mean, it's going to be really, really easy

What you need to take care of is with your actual own logo, brand logo, and everything's

gonna be like, done automatically. For example, here into Canva, I'm going to type Etsy. And

I have Etsy banner here, I type the Etsy banner. And I have lots of templates that I can use

totally for free. So once again, totally depends on you and how do you want to get

used to this. So for example, let's say that I wanted to look out for something like this

And I customize this actual clothing store. And then I just put up in here, it's gonna

be really, really, really easy. Once you have successfully done all of that element, I'm

going to be not going to be focusing a lot into the actual creation of your store. But

into how to get started with the actual listing, you're going to be seeing that we don't have

any active items yet. So if you create your very first listing, I can totally suggest

you to save that as a draft. So later on, you can take a look into how it's going to

be looking. And then if you like the actual process of your listing, later on, you can

be ready to pay for the 20 cents of each product. And of course, it's going to be taking that

monthly so you want to just make sure that you're actually in the right place. If you

select your listing, this one is active. And then later on, you go with an active once

again, and you wanted to active that once again, you need to pay the actual fee once

again. So you wanted to just take in mind that this is how it's going to be looking

my actual product. This is a print on demand t shirt that I had just created myself. But

this is how it's going to be looking at the preview of my actual product. So if I liked

it, if I think this one is really worthy for me to get started with, I just need to hit

into publishing, then we're good, we're actually good to go. So as you can see the primary

color, all of the actual element variants, the sizes, the quantity, everything is going

to be added automatically. That's the reason why I do love to have some print on demand

we have so much more stuff to do this just like a broad way of how you can get started

info, everything to you can get started right away to sell here into Etsy. With that being
