HOW TO VERIFY YOUR IDENTITY ON UPWORK (Step by Step) - Easy Tutorial

So, welcome everybody into this new video, let's take a look how we can verify ourselves

here into upwork.com. If you don't have an account, you can go always into the sign up section, join as a client

or as a freelancer. So in this case, I want to join as a freelancer looking for work

I want to apply as a freelancer ad. If you want to, you can continue with your Apple account or with your Google account

if you want to. In my case, I want to use my Google account and then what I want to do is to put here

my passcode and after that, it's going to be redirecting me back into Upwork

It's going to be asking me where am I currently based. So in my case, I'm going to put Mexico because I'm currently based here in Latin America

If you want to receive emails with tips on how to find talent that fits your needs, you

can enable that section. In my case, I'm not going to do that

I just need to enable here the Terms of Service of the application and I'm going to create

my account. Once I have my account here, it says your account has been successfully created, redirecting

you into Upwork. Now we can go and try to verify our information, our data here in order of having access here

for working here into Upwork.com. So as you can see, it says answer a few questions and start building your profile here

Apply for open roles and list services for clients to buy and get paid safely and know

we're there to help. So now what you guys want to do is to select the option and just get started here

A few quick sessions here. This is new to me. In my case, I'm going to put that to make money on the side

So you can upload your resume. You can fill out. So let's say for example, here I am currently working this role and just need to save here

You can add your education if you want to. You can go into the languages as well

In my case, I'm going to put this as native or lingual here and now we're going to share

our skills here. So now the last thing you want to do is to write something about yourself

Choose your area of work here. So now that we just set our account here, if you want to put here on a specific hourly

rate, you can do that as well. You can upload a photo here if you want to and put here your information about your where

you're currently based. Then just go into check your profile and what you guys want to do is to submit here your

profile so we can we can start working here. We can go live

I'm going to go into submit my profile here. It's going to take just a few seconds guys

Now what you guys want to do is to go into view my profile here and as you can see, it

says add your verified certifications, show clients you know your stuff by syncing your

currently digital best here. So one of the very great ways that we can certify that we are the person who are saying

here into our Upwork account is to go and import from Ketley.com

So we're going to be redirecting into Ketley. So if you want to start and creating your new account, let's say you want to start here

with my Gmail here. What you can do is to try to fill as much as the higher note here into completing your account

So what I want to do is to link a few accounts. So I have now 60% complete here of my account

I want to do that as much as I can. I mean, we are aiming for the 100% of our account

So we can have more credibility here into the account and we will be much likely to

be whether recruited or hired. So in this case, I want to use a new passcode

If you want to, I want to use a security question. If you want to, once again, in this case, I'm not going to do that

If you want to enable the two-step verification so you can have a few more points for your

account, you can do that as well. So now what I want to do is to check here into complete your profile here

So as you can see, there are a bunch of things that we can do in order for gaining more percentage

of the completed account. So for example, here, I want to put, I don't know, maybe a few education in here

So I want to fill the information that's right here about my institute and all that

Now, once I clicked into save here, I'm going to click in here

Now, once again, I'm going to see that there's a bunch of completed here, recognition skills

and knowledge. And for example, here, I want to add something more here

I want to reload the page. And as you can see, now I have a 70% completed here

So the more higher you have the percentage of your account, more your account might be

verified and your identity would totally be already verified. So in this case, I'm going to go into portfolio

So I can add a few things here. I want to go back into my profile here

So I want to take a look here of my percentage here. As you can see, it's 75%

So for example, if I enable the security question, I want to enable this

For example, I want to use a new code here. So I strongly suggest you guys to try to fill your information about your education

and your employment history. So you can be most likely to complete your profile really, really easy and faster

So if I go into the employment history, I can add a bunch of things here as a freelancer

for example, here, maybe a company from Mexico. So you don't have to put a lot of the period time

The important part is that everybody needs to know what kind of stuff you were into

So if I put a lot of things about content creation and video editor and all that, let's

say for example, this is already saved. I want to reload the page once again

And as you can see here, I have 85% already completed. So the most likely you have after you

So the most you have completed your account, it will be much easier to find work for yourselves guys

So if I go into the find work, it's going to be redirecting me into the part which says

find your jobs faster on your new homepage. Now as you can see, it says freelancers with complete quality profiles are 4.5 times more

likely to get hired by clients. And that's the thing that I wanted to tell you guys from the beginning, you need to have

a hundred completed verification process in your account. So you were the most likely to get hired by clients here

And you're going to get much more credibility guys, if you have the hundred percent already created

So I strongly suggest you guys to go into the employment, the education section

And if you have some certifications and you want to share that with the Upwork persons

guys, you can do that as well. And you can see here all your, and you can see right here, how you've been hanging here

into the Upwork. So there you have it guys, as you can see, it's not that hard
