How to Make a Hotel Booking website with WordPress, simple tutorial
0:05
Hey guys, welcome back. In this video, I'll be showing you step by step how you can build your WordPress website
0:11
and how you can make it into a booking website for your hotel or any other amenity that you're offering
0:18
So let's get into it. Now, the first thing you have to do is log on to WordPress and create your account
0:24
I already have created my account, so I'm directly on my dashboard. And to build a booking website, I like to use a couple of plugins
0:32
Those plugins include Elementor and Starter templates. So let's show you guys how you can install these templates
0:40
So to get started, simply click on plugins on the bottom left and click on Add New
0:46
Once you click on Add New over here, you're going to search for Elementor on the top right in the search bar
0:53
And once you search for Elementor over here, you have this particular
0:57
plugin by Elementor and you're just going to click on install now to install this plugin
1:03
Now after that you want to search for starter templates over here
1:08
So just search for starter templates and once you search for starter templates you will find
1:12
this plugin. It's by brainstorm force. This is the one that you want to install and click on
1:18
install now. Now once you have both of these installed you can go into your installed
1:23
plugins on the left toolbar and click on activate on both of these plugins
1:27
Now once you have activated these plugins, you can get started with building your website or your booking page
1:35
So you guys can see once you activate starter templates, it actually opens up the particular pop-up of their website
1:41
where you can actually go to their dashboard and, you know, browse all the templates
1:46
You can also click on exit to dashboard if it doesn't automatically open up for you
1:50
You can go into your plugins, and once you go into your plugins
1:54
and under starter templates, you can click on see. you can click on C library and this will open up this particular page from where we are going
2:02
to take our booking template so we are looking to build a hotel booking page now to do that
2:09
i primarily want a booking template so in my starter template search bar i'll just search for
2:15
booking and now once i search for booking i can take a look at some of the templates that are
2:20
related to booking and that can help me in building my booking website so you have multiple different
2:26
types of templates and I'm just going to so this did not match any starter templates so what I'm going
2:33
to do is that in the categories over here you will see multiple different types of categories you can go
2:39
under business categories and then go into hotel and travel and then this will show you the particular
2:44
type of templates that are available for hotel and travel so you have these particular tools like this
2:51
so we have this earth template we have the planet earth we have the artist multi we also have some particular hotel templates but these are only available on the premium version So if you choose to upgrade you can choose these pre templates as well
3:07
Now, I'm going to take this template over here, which is the very basic create your website mountain template
3:15
And I'm going to click on this over here. Now, once you open up a template, it will give you a preview of the template
3:21
It has take action services and more. Now, if you take a look at this particular template, it had services, and services can be booked
3:31
so it probably means that it has a booking site within it
3:35
They also have some other templates depending on what you want in your hotel
3:40
You will also be able to see free and premium hotels. You will also be able to see free and premium plugins as well as some pre-existing sites that have all of your integrated features
3:51
So if I go on to something like a e-commerce store and I want a course marketplace or a online courses, those also have those subscription-based options
4:02
But we are just going to go on ahead into our hotel and travel templates and I'm going to continue with a basic template
4:11
So I think I'm going to use my create my website one and I'm going to click on skip and continue because I can upload my logo file directly over here to make it easier for
4:21
us to navigate. So let's say this is our logo and I'm going to click on select over here
4:26
Now after that I'm going to click on continue and I'm going to change the default color scheme
4:31
so you can pick a different color scheme if you wish to do that like this. After that you have
4:37
your basic default fonts that have been added so you can customize those as well and after
4:42
you have customized that you can click on continue over here. Now you have some advanced
4:47
options which allow you to delete previously imported sites, import customized, setting import widgets install the required plugins as well as importing the content so you're
4:57
going to click on submit and build my website and now this template as it is will be imported onto your
5:03
WordPress site and from there you can use a mentor to edit the rest of your site now keep in mind
5:10
that if you actually like a free template that does not have booking features you don't have to
5:16
you know skip through that template and choose a different template if you like a template that doesn't have any
5:21
integrated booking feature then just choose that template and I'll show you guys a
5:26
alternative way where you can integrate bookings into that template for your
5:31
hotel now once this has been completed you can click on view your website over
5:36
here to get started now I'm gonna click on exit to dashboard and once I have
5:42
opened up my website you guys can see this is our website so I can just go back
5:46
into my dashboard now and I am just going to leave our page
5:51
This is our basic dashboard and I can click on VisitSight now Now this is what my site currently looks like It has quite a few different features So the first thing I like to do is going to my basic dashboard and take a look at the plugins that were installed
6:06
So only WordPress forms were added. Now, this particular template also does not have a lot of very direct booking features
6:14
It also has services features. So I'm going to click on Edit Page and I'm going to get started with editing our pages
6:22
So this is our home page. I'm going to click on Edit with Elementor because I want to use Elementor to edit the starter templates template
6:30
And once you click on Edit with Elementor, this will open up the editing page
6:34
You will be able to see each individual section. So what I'm going to do is I'm going to add our first title text
6:41
So I've just added some basic text and then I can add more text as well
6:45
Then we have our services section where we can add our services. Now, I don't want services
6:50
So I can actually add my booking features over here and I'll show you guys how
6:55
But in this way, you can edit section by section. Let's say I don't want this call to action to be present over here
7:01
I can just click on this cross icon and this will be deleted. Then I have my add widget here
7:08
So I can add a different type of widget if I want. And then on the left, I have Elementor plugins or Elementor elements that I can add
7:16
Now, if I click on Starter Templates over here, I can actually use a starter template page or block that I can insert
7:23
So I can go into the blocks over here and enter a particular block or page directly into a pre-existing page
7:31
Now, once I've completed this, I'm going to click on update on the bottom left
7:35
And keep in mind that you do have to use Elementor to edit your starter templates
7:39
So once I've done this, I'm going to click on exit. And I want to have, you know, made some basic changes
7:45
I'm going to go back and leave to my WordPress dashboard. And now I want to build my booking page
7:51
To do that, I'm going to go into plugins over here and click on Add New
7:56
And then simply search for booking. Now, once you search for booking over here, you have multiple different types of plugins available
8:04
Now, the one that I recommend is Appointment Hour Booking. So this one is super efficient to use
8:11
You also have some other plugins as well, booking calendar included. There's also booking package, booking for appointments and events
8:18
But Appointment Hour booking is one of the most. efficient and most used ones out there so i'm just going to click on install now and once you have
8:27
installed this click on activate over here and once you have done this you can start building your
8:32
forms so this will be hotel booking form like this now after that you're going to click on booking
8:39
orders and then you can search for or you know take a look at your booking orders that you have but
8:45
this is our first form over here and what you're going to do is you can click on block times and you can
8:50
build blocked times so let say you have this the service over here or you know you offer rooms during these times like this and once you blocked out the selected dates you can click on add booking to add any pre booking like this and you can
9:07
add their email as well like so click on submit and although this does list it as a service you can
9:14
simply rename this to a particular room now you can even add a new calendar so you can click on add new
9:21
and let's say this calendar would include email appointments and within that calendar let's say i have
9:30
this section and these are the dates available and let's say service one is not going to be 60 minutes
9:37
obviously uh it's going to be 24 minutes and how many minutes are in a hour so it's 24 by 60 yeah so we have
9:46
1,440 minutes per day and that's how many minutes you want to make your service
9:51
of so we're just going to go ahead like this this is going to be around 150 minutes so
9:58
about 151,000 and around 1500 minutes like this so this would be equivalent to one day so there would be only
10:08
one booking for the entire day that's the one thing you have to make sure that you add the booking as a
10:13
really long duration which basically means one day so people can book you for days now after that you have
10:20
your working days you also have your first sunday military time or no if you want a m p.m. time and a
10:27
number of months max number of appointments would be unlimited and the minimum date as well now once you've
10:33
done that you can click on safe changes and continue editing and now you guys can see only once slot
10:39
per day is available now with this you service one could be hotel room one or executive lodge one
10:46
then service two could be standard room one and standard room two
10:50
And in this way, you can build your booking application directly into your starter templates
10:55
And once you have completed this, you're going to go ahead and click on over here
11:00
You can clone this and rename this if it's the same room over and over again. And then you can add the short code to your page
11:07
So you're going to copy this, copy this code over here. And then go ahead and open up your site or just go for whatever page you want to integrate this
11:16
Let's say I have my homepage and I'm going to click on Edit with Elementor. Then once you click on Edit with Elementor to integrate our booking feature
11:24
we're just going to go ahead and search for shortcode. And once you add your short code, you can move this up later on as well
11:31
but we're just going to paste our short code over here and click on Apply
11:37
And now if I scroll down, I will actually be able to see the shortcode is going to be converted
11:42
into our actual login or into the actual form for login. So make sure that this is added correctly
11:50
then you can exit and take a look at your booking slots as well so i hope you guys found this video
