New concerns tonight on the Upper West Side where people say problematic pit bulls are making them scared to walk their dogs
0:07
It all started with a savage attack caught on camera over the weekend. Now Fox 5 has obtained video of another vicious incident allegedly involving the same pit bulls
0:17
Arthur Cheehan has the latest. Three days after the vicious attack on Penny the Chihuahua
0:24
Her family says the pit bulls who attacked their beloved dog and the owner of the pit bulls have yet to be held accountable
0:31
It's very strange that there's just nothing that could have been done immediately. That's kind of what you want when somebody's been attacked that you love
0:39
You just want some immediate action and it feels like I keep getting the runaround from everybody that I talk to in an official capacity
0:46
On Tuesday night, Lauren Kloss attended a community board meeting in her Upper West Side neighborhood trying to get official help
0:54
She wants the owner of the pit bulls who mauled Penny arrested. The police department tells Fox 5 a woman was bitten in Saturday's chaos on Columbus Avenue
1:03
and 85th Street and that a male victim has now come forward who says the pit bull owner
1:08
shoved him snatched his phone and threw it down the street And yet another video shows the pit bull owner apparently assaulting a good Samaritan who witnesses tell us was trying to stop the attack and save Penny Instead he was dragged by his hair backwards into the intersection
1:29
And now another harrowing video has been obtained by Fox 5. The anonymous sender says it shows the same pit bulls mauling and killing a small dog in January
1:39
The video is so graphic, we can only show you a few frames of it. While we didn't get the video from this woman, she was the first to tell us about that January attack
1:48
His animals killed a dog in January, and nothing was done, and now it could have happened again
1:53
Oh, so there was a... Yeah, January. Yeah, another small dog was killed in Central Park
1:59
Yeah, they've shown... Same dogs? Mm-hmm. Same dogs, same owner, and nothing happened
2:03
People who live on the street where this attack happened tell us that they are traumatized
2:07
But they also say that trauma is compounded by the fact that those pit bulls and the owner still walk freely in the neighborhood
2:13
It's horrible. This is horrible. And just the way they walked off and, you know, as if nothing happened, like they just ran and got into a car
2:21
As Penny continues a painful recovery with stitches all over her body, her owner continues pressing the city to act
