Here is a delicious Buchi recipe, a popular Filipino dessert made from sweetened mung beans and coated in sesame seeds. Start by cooking 1 cup of mung beans in water until soft, then drain and mash them. In a pan, heat 1 cup of sugar and 1 tablespoon of cooking oil until the sugar dissolves and becomes slightly caramelized. Add the mashed mung beans and cook until the mixture thickens. Let it cool and form into small balls. Coat each ball with sesame seeds. In a separate pan, heat oil for frying. Fry the coated balls until golden brown and crispy. Drain on paper towels and serve warm.
