Wealth tax debate is a key day for French government as bill divides MPs

French MPs are set to debate the "Zucman tax", a blanket tax on the ultra-rich named after the economist which theorised it. It is an important day for the French government, as the Socialist party could withdraw its support if this measure or an equivalent is not voted through.
