Runners collapse as temperatures soar across France

An unusually early heatwave has pushed temperatures above 30°C across France, leading to multiple medical emergencies during running events. In suburbs of Paris and other cities, dozens of participants collapsed, with several hospitalised in serious condition and emergency services overwhelmed by heat-related incidents.
