Nigerian officers face trial over alleged coup plot

A group of Nigerian officers is scheduled to stand trial for allegedly plotting to overthrow President Bola Tinubu. When the 16 were arrested last year, the government initially dismissed reports of a coup. Nigeria has experienced several military coups in its history, but has been a democracy for nearly 30 years. Now, as the country leads regional efforts to prevent military takeovers in West Africa, it must confront unrest within its own armed forces. Sam Olukoya reports.
