A truly 'wonderful, loving' soul: Diogo Jota’s 'immense' impact on Liverpool remembered

"Sim, para sempre" (Yes, forever): those were the words of Rute Cardoso that captioned the enchanting photo Diogo Jota had just posted on Instagram celebrating their June wedding day, marking a brand new chapter in their lives with their three young children. Just over a week later, as Jota was headed to the northern city of Santander to take a ferry to England, in the flash of an instant, the Portuguese Liverpool player and his brother lost their lives in a fiery car accident. As Jota's family, teammates and passionate fans across the sports world mourn two lives abruptly taken away far too soon, FRANCE 24's Mark Owen welcomes Keith Corcoran, one of Liverpool's most passionate fans and friends for half a century. He had the pleasure of speaking to Jota every time Liverpool played at home. He describes Jota as a "gentle person, always had a smile on his face" on and off the field.
