A rollercoaster year in US–Brazil relations

Relations between the United States and Brazil have been on a rollercoaster over the past year. US President Donald Trump announced 40 percent tariffs on Brazilian goods over the prosecution of former president Jair Bolsonaro, FRANCE 24’s Jan Onoszko said, adding that Trump later changed his tone after meeting President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva and dropped most of the tariffs.
