Measure Ring Size at Home — The Accurate Methods

Measure a ring size at home with three simple methods. Method one: use a ring that already fits the finger, place it on a printable ring size chart (available from jewelers) and match the inside edge. Method two: wrap a strip of paper or string around your finger where the ring will sit, mark the overlap, measure the length in millimeters, and compare to an online size chart. Make sure your finger is warm — sizes change with temperature — and measure at the end of the day when fingers are slightly larger. For best results, measure two or three times and average, or buy an inexpensive plastic ring sizer. If the ring is a surprise, use a ring they already wear on the same finger and size accordingly.
